This series represents something of a Golden Age for Star Wars games, in my opinion. Not all of them were great, but the ones that were really stood the test of time. I still revisit the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series (except Jedi Knight 1, which I still can't get to run properly to this day), KOTOR will live forever, Republic Commando was a banger for its time, Shadows of the Empire was my jam when I was a kid. I could go on 😆. I'm glad that we're finally getting good Star Wars games again; I really enjoy the Fallen Order series, I just started playing Survivor this past weekend. Outlaw coming out next year looks pretty good. Here's hoping we keep them coming.
Star Wars Galaxies did the complete opposite of EA’s Battlefront 2. It made it easier to become a Jedi with “instant gratification” as opposed to “pride and accomplishment.”
Super Empire Strikes Back for the Super Nintendo is still till this day my favorite Star Wars game ever released. Followed up by Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic for the original Xbox, and last, but not least Star Wars Battlefront Two for the PlayStation Four, and the Xbox One.
"Counting expansions and titles currently under development, there are almost a hundred game borne of the Star Wars title." And with the explosions of the mobile freemium market, that number has tripled.
Thanks for getting this! I tried to save it on my channel, but part 5 has been broken on their site for a while now. I got quite a few of the others though if you wanna check them out.
Honestly, Thank you both for finding these and putting them here. These were a big part of my middle school childhood, as was GT. Thanks for letting me relive this.
Man I miss galaxies. They should of never added the Jedi selectable. It should of stayed as mastering random jobs. They are supposed to be rare. The combat system definitely needed fixing, but the attempted WoW clone overhaul was too much.
@16:00 How did that Namco Star Wars game for the Famicom get approved? I thought LucasArts(George Lucas) was super protective of the integrity of the story and events surrounding, leading up to, and during the Original Trilogy? Or was this a case of Namco making the game without Lucas approving the story? Or miscommunication/lost in translation issues? It’s just so bizarre that the Famicom Namco Star Wars game to even exists! 😂
This is my first time finding out about game trailers. They would be an insane hit today! How did they not make it ? Did they die before youtube really became a thing?
They kinda went the way of G4, just smaller. A focused platform for gaming news just doesn't hold enough sway anymore....They still exist just not in the same capacity. They stopped around 2016.
So ToR wasn’t a Star Wars MMO? It had been out for at around four years by the time this was published. Also noticed that whoever wrote the script might have played one of the entire library instead relying on notes and wiki it would seem.
Why does he say Dooku like that? Count Dew Kew. There's no pause in the middle, just Dooku, a swift upward then downward inflection. They say it in the fricken movies, man. FFS, all that research, and he's saying 'Dew Kew.'
You've done god's work by reuploading these, especially as one whole video. I always love revisiting this; so comforting.
These videos made up a huge part of my childhood as I loved watching all the series GT produced so thank you for uploading all of these
Man I used to spend so much time on GT back in the day. That was a good 10-12 years ago now. Always loved the retrospectives.
I have spent so long looking for this, quite literally years
At least you found it.
You sir/madam, are a hero of our time, thanks for the upload!
Thanks for uploading this. One more that has been saved!
Thanks a bunch! GT, gone, but not forgotten.
kamuiarikado I'm a little late, but check out easy allies. They're all gt guys.

11:12 i need that as my ring tone
3:04:44 that's not true. Anthony Daniels and Ahmed Best have reprised See-Threepio and Jar Jar Binks in a few video games.

Is there an updated version of these videos?
Sadly no. As far as I know they stopped doing retrospectives a long time ago. :(
Mark Hamill Carrie fisher and James Earl Jones
2:35:15 Oooooohhhh no... Development team done their loyalist of players so so dirty! Ouch!

Gameplay in the Jedi knight series is abysmal. Unplayably awful. Especially in Jedi academy
