Noice, too me, Bad Religion is the “Iron Maiden of Punk Rock”. I play bass and love Jay Bentley’s bass playing. He’s so awesome. Bad Religion is awesome. Other than that, cool:).
Justin Tyler Jimenez Don’t get me wrong dude BR have and always will be my favourite band of all time but Strung Out are definitely the Iron Maiden of punk rock
For about musical influence, specially in complexity on guitar playing,Strung Out is more influenced by Iron Maiden. But for influence other bands,of course Bad Religion. I love these two bands, and total respect for Iron Maiden to influence the general music, also to win a mention in this post.
This band is a powerhouse...a true enigma within a genre full of legends. I am honoured and fortunate to know their music...to have spent time pouring through a dictionary to decipher their lyrics from my childhood into adulthood. Their music has inspired me to think and research...it will truly be a sad day when they decide they are done.
"Bad religions always been about conveying the same message. Which is basically, society sucks.. if you don't encourage education, and enlightenment, and open-mindedness. Any time you enter a period in society where those messages are crushed or where the inspiration is gone, you enter the darker chapters of history. We wanted to, once again, with this record, light the flame; the candle of enlightenment. And hopefully ppl will listen this time." - Greg Graffin interview Well put. And that is pretty much how i always looked at bad religions work.
This is by no means an insult, but I agree totally with Jay. The album was great at first, but it has only grown on me more and more with each listen. I realize with each listen that is a culmination of all their years and experiments with sound. It is a great balance of tempos and sounds and just a really great album. Each song hooks you in a different way. Not only are the songs good, but they sound interesting in a way that sucks you in. They are fun to listen to. They are fun to sing along with. The lyrics really hit the nail on the head. The reverb and the guitars and vocals and the new percussion sound combine to make something really special.
Hi Greg !!! London calling !!! ...good to see you again....haha....only here on youtube....nothing has changed ...BadReligion as strong as ever !!! ....rocknroll

Right, the guy with a PhD in zoology and a masters in geology is a “pseudo-intellectual” The guy teaches at Cornell university, I doubt they’d let a “pseudo-intellectual” teach at their school.
No way, I was just listening to The Dissent of man today and when Wrong way kids came on made me think about everything they've done. Such an influential band. Age of unreason isn't my favorite they've done, but hot damn is it still good.
I really love how Greg is letting himself age gracefully. No hair dye, no hair plugs or plastic surgery. He's just a punk as fuck grey old man. The new record is probably my favorite bad religion album in quite some time. Love it
Believers, dupes and clowns I want you all to gather round to glorify ignorance and fear. I dispense this information to a post truth generation... so many amazing lyrics on this album!!!!
Brians got a Me First and the Gimme Gimmes shirt. Not pointing it out to prove you wrong or anything, just a fact. To be honest they probably just raided the merch stands to get some clean shirts while out on tour haha!
bad religion music is deeply embeded in my heart and soul...such a great collection of albums one better than the other. really cant choose a favourite! thank you guys
I knew this was great when I first listened to it. They are right though that I'm writing this now because I need a place to say how much this album as grown on me even in the past week. Something clicked, and I swear it's one of their best.
Really love this album. It really captures the time and is a great piece of music with great lyrics. The live show I've been to was also a joy to behold. Please never stop guys!
The 'great album that just gets better' comment couldn't be more accurate. Whereas True North was an immediate love for me, this took me a few days to go from a general feeling of relief, (well at least it's good, if not great) to absolutely loving it. Probably one of if not my favourite since POB.
It's an awesome record, the best of the last 4. It's just a pity that Berlin's major rock radio station (Star FM) only plays "Don't lose your head". Well, at least they play some BR-song, and they have been playing it constantly ever since the album was released.

Really sad to have to miss the show in Buenos Aires for being too broke, but I'm so glad to witness you guys releasing new stuff and touring these days . The new album's amazing and, hopefully, I'll catch you next time you're around! Keep trying to make the world think!!
I really like the songs on the album but the production / mix is probably one of my least favourite, I can't quite put my finger on why. Still enjoyable though, because of the top notch songwriting and musicianship.
You did a good job and I believe you’re right, but you must come out for the right now. You need to come make a stand and be the truth or you’re gonna lose.
No need to apologize. It's pretty obvious that you suck on many levels. You actually took the time to post that comment, knowing damn well nobody, and I mean NOBODY gives a fuck what you think. Your parents must be proud.
Interestingly, when I first heard these guys in a music store in 1994, I thought they were boring. But then I got their album "All Ages" as a gift and absolutely loved Bad Religion from then on. The music grew on me, the lyrics were real, and their vocal harmonies put them on another other level. Now they are my favorite punk band of all time.
So many years of great music and still counting!
Man, my life just won't be the same once these dudes stop playing. They have become a part of me and what I am.
Long live BR!

the new album is really growing on me
Well stated from Greg. During this time of much divisiveness and great conflict, you found yourself coming back to BR records time and time again.

what a great album top to bottom! Candidate is best track hands down!
It’s a slow burner of an album, really starting to dig it now after a few months.

Los esperamos en Octubre en la Argentina junto a The Offspring!!! Salud y buena vida!

Best Bad Religion album ever imo.
Definitely a good one. I'm more partial to the ones that came out while I was in high school (91-95).
Here's hoping that it takes far less than another six years for their 18th record.
great album! thank you
Greg + Jamie didn't get the memo about wearing NOFX shirts
what is gregs fav album by bad religion
Superb record
Dont buy it burn it steal it and spread it for this one thanks interpunk for never sending my colored pre order going with smartpunk now!
Damn, you rock so much! Thanx for that, again and again. Ya hey!
Greg is the best, We play for Gårdon in swedish animalpunk band GORDON GAZELLA, come listen mates
6 years since True North? Wow
Супер. Я кстати первый
Solid album but I still think you should release a remastered version of Into the Unknown
Next year is supposedly going to be a celebration of Bad Religion at 40. So if it's gonna happen, I think it'll be then.

why is "punk rock" so Left Leaning? just asking, are there any bands that are more Gop or conservative leaning?

No because Punk is inherently anti-fascist
One of the most boring band I know. Sorry.
