Still play almost as fast but not struggling with barr chords. Little finger is frozen and middle finger only bends half way. But hey you make do. I cant complain. Django Reinhardt played incredible lead runs with only two fingers after the rest were wrecked in a fire.

Man when Joe starts hitting those 16's like a machine gun at the 2:00 mark and then Corey comes over the top with his trademark right hand technique. Pure bliss.
That's a really cool peak for sure. But I have to say that this is more a left hand muffing technique. Still. Corey is so damn funky haha! Him and Joe are a perfect match for sure! That whole damn band and all their collabs too lol!
Having just learned the entire song on bass, ironically the "easy" part (those 16s) is actually thee hardest part. Learning the rest took about an hour w the right tutorial but hitting those 16s CLEANLY is hard AF... And I've been playing for longer than i care to admit. Joe Dart is a living legend. Treasure him. Side note: imo, the MSG version of My First Car is very likely the funkiest thing ever written or performed by anyone, anywhere. Ever. If you play bass or guitar, i highly recommend learning as many Vulf songs as you can. Most peeps don't even know who they are so a lot them think they're your songs when you bust em out at shows. Sometimes I'll tell folks it's just some Vulf tunes but other times i just let them think i came up w those BEASTLY basslines! 💪

Never heard of this song before. Since picking up the bass 3 years ago. So much amazing music 🎵 has been made it's way to my ears. Fantastic band. Excellent bassline needless to say.
Why YT fed me this is beyond me but I do like to dive down the bass worm hole from time to time. Whatever. This is awesome. The crowd singing the bass licks is hilarious. This soothes my jazz loving soul.
After hearing so many versions of this song now, I think this might be the best one ever. Joe's tone, the double rhythm on the drums, Cory's funky rhythm guitar and Woody's Hammond all blend seamlessly to make such a sweet cocktail of sound!
