npr Tiny Desk from 2011 has Chris Thile with Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer and Stuart Duncan - the music is rather grassroots sounding (a style I would not listen to that much) but it grooves and the performers have such a good time that they could be playing absolutely anything and it would sound fantastic. Scott, I wanted to mention the Madison Square Garden version of Beastly. Specifically at around the 1:30 mark. When I heard this line the first time, I about took off running. He took the same line, made minor changes, and then hit us with that "slow down" effect lol. Thanks for your videos!

For some reason UA-cam sent me the Firms Radioactive video and was blown away by Tony Franklins bass playing on that track! I remember that song back in the day but probably didn’t realize how great the bass was😊

Chris Thile (Thee-Lee) is a mandolin virtuoso, composer and songwriter and plays across all genres of music. He guested on Vulpecks mindblowing ‘Live at Madison Square Garden’ gig and played with the acoustic trio Nickel Creek. He’s undoubtedly a musical genius (in my opinion).
