Thanks so much for this great video! We had the error 37 code on our 13 year old washer. The washer pump failed when it was full of water. I called the service company and they said some one can come out in 2 weeks due to pandemic demand. Not wanting to wait 2 weeks, We pumped out about 30 gallons of water and put the machine on it’s front. We detached the pump per your directions. That’s when we found the eye glass cleaning cloth my wife put in the washer. Those need to go in mesh bags in the future. Put it back together and it works great! Thanks again.
Just pulled mine off and found a lot of lint and debris tanlged in the axle of the part that spins the pump. currently running a test wash, fingers crossed it actually pumps. In any case though Paul thanks a million for the video regardless of the result i learned something today :)
Hi, I did this with my machine as it wasn’t rinsing / draining properly. I checked the pump / drain hose and it was all ok, so I put it back together, connected the machine back up and tried to do a wash, but water just flooded the laundry as soon as I started the wash… I made sure it was all connected properly, so I’m unsure why it flooded…… do you know why this is or what the problem could be? Thanks
The pump is not seated properly and it's sitting on a slight angle. This can easily be done when fitting the pump back in. It must be sitting flat against the bottom of the bowl to seal. Remove the pump again and push it in evenly and turn in a clockwise direction until the white tag sits into place to get a tight seal.
I keep getting cln fltr error , 8ve cleared the impeller , I've ran drum clean many times tried using vinegar etc , still getting clean filter error , an6 suggestions , please and thank you
@@Ben24-7 there is no "clean filter" error code. The only filter is in the water hoses or inlet valve. What is your fault code? ua-cam.com/video/O_2Q9fddhrQ/v-deo.htmlsi=hBHKS_z20QMtryYS

oh my gosh, I did the calculations and I'm a "37." Can I actually go forward and repair my machine myself?? I'll let you know.
Nice and easy to follow cheers

What's the make and model of your machine.
Is it a Fisher Paykel Smart Drive Top Loader that this video is made for??

WHAT DOES A IMPELLER DO
The impeller pushes the water up the drain pipe.
@@paulywooly WHAT IS THAT A FAN TYPE IN THE FRONT OF THE PUMP DOES THAT COOL THE MOTOR
@@ashwantnaidu9888 Oh sorry, yes that fan blade is for cooling and slowing the motor down when the water has been drained. Sort of like a governor

Why waste your time making a video it’s all rusted and filthy what did you just throw it out and buy new one
So what it looks a bit grotty. This one is an old workshop washing machine. Why throw something out to landfill when it still works perfectly well
Classic throw away society. Why not just fix it?
what a typical comment from someone who comes from a "throw away" culture. I am grateful for his instruction.
