I believe that scout trooper would behave like that. I served as a recon soldier in the army a few years ago. Our job is basically to scout enemy positions. And yes, we did have a tendency to do what we wanted, both in the field and in garrison
Why Do I picture a storm trooper nco or commander getting ready to sleep for the night. Then hearing speeders go by and then having the expression -_- lol.
Insanity 64 Probably a plot hole, but in universe it's probably because they can be so far away they don't need camouflage, blaster rifles they would use are basically limited to how far they can see unobstructed if I remember correctly
I'm sure it just came down to budget in the original trilogy and a need for them to look like stormtroopers. That said, how awesome would it be if you gave the scouts some kind of digital camouflage system that dynamically changed to match the environment?
Let's be real here George Lucas was far from your career soldier who would know things like proper camouflage. Or white in general is a bad color. Now that's not meant to say he should've been. If you want stories with some hardcore well thought out military force it's called military scifi or you could read memoirs from actual wars if you really want realism. I who does infact read both strongly encourage you do. But Lucas wasn't writing military sci-fi he was going for a space opera so most likely he didn't go that far into imperial military lore as to have a reason to not use camouflage. So there probably isn't an in universe reason which is why we have fan theories. Because logically speaking I could go as far to argue that even clones are tactically dumb for using vibrant colors on their already bright white armor and making their commanding officers to distinct from normal soldiers, making it easy for a sniper to pick them off. Which quite honestly takes the fun out of it so let's not go done that road.
This is a case of ideology trumping practicality. The Empire was built upon the idea of ruling through fear, which was best emphasized through their distinctive, intimidating designs. Stormtroopers were trained to be fanatics who would run headlong into enemy fire without hesitation, wouldn't slow down to aid their fallen comrades, and who would show no mercy to the enemy. They were living terror weapons. To that end, the Empire wanted them to be highly visible to better demonstrate these qualities. The problem, as the war went on, was that their enemies became less afraid and more focused in fighting them. This could be connected to the destruction of the first Death Star, which badly undermined the Empire's image of being unstoppable.
getting kicked out of base because they kept racing (and possibly modifying) in the dead of night pissing off neighbors and friends alike? you described space hells Angel's and I demand to see a series about them
I feel like the scout trooper armor should’ve just been the standard issue armor for all stormtroopers, mainly due to the fact you can actually see out of the helmet
Buuut they have more exposed soft body armor.. meaning melee and physical weapons will be way more effective against them plus then they don't get the energy dispersion effect of the full standard kit. Plus a better helmet will cost more so... If you're making a massive army cheaper semi effective gear for your troops with will be better In the long run.
Stormtrooper helmets are outfitted with a wide array of sensor tech and additions to improve vision of the wearer along with a functional HUD. Though the eye lenses my be small the helmet can outweigh this and due to smaller weak points offers a better protection overall. And Star Wars Helmets in general have small or thin lenses. Mandalorian or Clone helmets are no exception
I find it hilarious that the rest of the empire views these guys as galaxy class A-holes, but are stuck with them anyway because they're the best they got. I would VERY much like to see a canon live action "scout trooper" comedy show!
wasn't bill burr's character an "imperial sharpshooter" aka, a scout trooper? Now his "I wasn't a stormtrooper wise-ass" line and his general attitude makes even more sense.
I love for the scout trooper you took screen's hits from fallen order when you were talking about the batons and some battlefront two screenshots on 4:02 Love the detail
I can actually see George Lucas writing the screenplay for ROTJ: “Han notices two Scout Troopers loading gear next to their brown Imperial Speeder Bikes. Their armour, while slightly different to the typical Imperial Stormtrooper, remains characteristically white, with black bodysuits underneath. These elite units, unlike their more well known counterparts, are skilled at reconnaissance, fast-travel on their Scout Bikes, have excellent communication and are skilled with long range weapons. These formidable CQC warriors are definitively the arse holes of the Empire”.

The Scout Troopers from the Mandalorian were basically Grif and Simmons from Red vs Blue
I'd watch that
@@jacencade4019 Ever wonder why we're here?
I could watch a full series of just those two scout trooper from the finale.
I believe that scout trooper would behave like that. I served as a recon soldier in the army a few years ago. Our job is basically to scout enemy positions. And yes, we did have a tendency to do what we wanted, both in the field and in garrison
they raced speeders through the halls? omg that made me laugh so hard i can just imagine one crashing while going round a corner in the halls
Why Do I picture a storm trooper nco or commander getting ready to sleep for the night. Then hearing speeders go by and then having the expression -_- lol.
Gotta be honest I never understand why the empire didn’t allow camouflage armor for the scouts. Seems pretty stupid
What if they’re fighting on Hoth
Scout troopers: *punches baby yoda*
Star wars theory channels: Write that down, write that down! This is all lore! Let's make those videos!
Persona 6 I know right? lol 😆
“Vibe Checking the Child” Oh my god that had me dying
*Geetsly's:* "Scout Troopers were assholes!"
*Coruscant Guard Clones:* "That's cute."
getting kicked out of base because they kept racing (and possibly modifying) in the dead of night pissing off neighbors and friends alike?
you described space hells Angel's and I demand to see a series about them
Yeah Every Scout trooper is gangsta, until wood will start speak Droopers.
I hope scout troopers Grif and Simmons are alive, I really want to see them in season 2. Maybe even as a real threat.
Or a hole spinoff where they end up on adventures to find out it's all been a simulation.
Movie Rated B For: BLAST ‘EM
@@Wooly4 Nah, we gotta play Blood Gulch Blues for them.
Then we meet their gruff, war-hungry sergeant.
@@jamespocelinko104 Oh hell yes.
I feel like the scout trooper armor should’ve just been the standard issue armor for all stormtroopers, mainly due to the fact you can actually see out of the helmet
I was just saying the same thing.
@@4hands456 Just do the normal stormtrooper kit but with a scouthelmet then you get full body protection
@@nighthunter3039 this is some galaxy brain shit right here
Stormtrooper helmets are outfitted with a wide array of sensor tech and additions to improve vision of the wearer along with a functional HUD. Though the eye lenses my be small the helmet can outweigh this and due to smaller weak points offers a better protection overall. And Star Wars Helmets in general have small or thin lenses. Mandalorian or Clone helmets are no exception
Title: why imperial scout troopers were kinda A holes
Me: THEY HIT BABY YODA
I find it hilarious that the rest of the empire views these guys as galaxy class A-holes, but are stuck with them anyway because they're the best they got.
I would VERY much like to see a canon live action "scout trooper" comedy show!
wasn't bill burr's character an "imperial sharpshooter" aka, a scout trooper? Now his "I wasn't a stormtrooper wise-ass" line and his general attitude makes even more sense.
That would make so much sense.
He was an Imperial Sharpshooter that's why the armor was diff when he snuck on that base and saw his old commander
What’s your favourite kind of imperial trooper? Got to say Death Trooper.
patreon.com/Geetslys
Those old imperial ops troops from rebel strike. Sarklie's attire when he meets Han on endor
Purge troops
Shadow troopers
Snow troopers
Purge troopers
Speeder bikes in the halls? Yea move them before someone starts stringing up wire.
J-Russ Shhhh.. no, no... let them race. °^°
“Scout troopers were among the best soldiers in the empire, that made them a cut above they’re fellow stormtroopers”
Not a high bar I’m sure lol
I mean, against characters that didn't have plot armor, they could fight pretty well.
actually stormtroopers were the best shots in the galaxy, they simply were not given the right light
@@Gunny-Bunny-47 and helmets too
Generation Kill is a good depiction of how Scout Troopers would act.
Can only imagine a Scout Trooper being an a-hole if he where stuck on a planet with two suns and no women. (Family Guy reference)
Something about scout troopers how wounderful just what we needed.
The nostalgia your intro gave me, instant sub, if you know you know.
That made me sub too
“Vibe checked the child”
I loved that
I love for the scout trooper you took screen's hits from fallen order when you were talking about the batons and some battlefront two screenshots on 4:02 Love the detail
He said vibe-checking like it came naturally to him and he uses it everyday
Would be nice to see Scout troopers in the Mandalorian or other series/film with sniper gear
I like how the empire kept their armor almost identical to republic scout armor
Video: *zooms in on a planet* me: *nostalgia activated*
Ivan edits I love the original battlefieldfronts so much
"Many scouts had camo"
"Scouts weren't allowed to paint their armour so the white stuck out"
Contradictions
Get over it
They have to be issued camo, but usually aren't.
"for vibe checking the child" 😂😂
Can we have an ARF trooper video pls
They’re pretty dumb in Jedi fallen order.
Dumb and ANNOYING
I just force push or pull them
@@bandit5747 It's more satisfying to throw the lightsaber at them. But pushing them is also great
Ala Tyrakowska the best about the game is pushing troopers off cliffs.
But it's fun to throw them into the venus flytraps in kashyyyk

Yep, absolutely "among the best troopers of the Stormtrooper Corps".
I can actually see George Lucas writing the screenplay for ROTJ:
“Han notices two Scout Troopers loading gear next to their brown Imperial Speeder Bikes.
It also increased their odds of survival if they encountered enemy forces
Me: rememberers endor
-Years of additional specialized training.
-The strongest and best armor in the whole galaxy.
*Beaten by ewoks*
It’s called plot convince
Ewoks are as strong as Wookies.
everytime the protagonist arrives
*What did I do in my Training again?*
Omg vibe checking baby yoda
Everyone around me is convinced that that baby yoda is literally THE baby but when in reality, he was a grand master of the Jedi before the imperials, and died in return of the Jedi.
I love the Red VS Blue comedy in the scout trooper scene
We need a “band of brothers” but with storm troopers !!!
The Scout trooper beating Baby Yoda was kinda satisfying
General Kenobi lowkey
General Kenobi yes
As a kid i always thought the scout troopers looked cooler then the regular stormtroopers. Still do
I like how their helmets just make it look like they have a smug looking face
“Vibe checking the Child”
I’m dead😂
Stormtroopers: have better equipement, armor, training etc
Some rebel guy with a gun: Im gunna end this man's whole career

That was my favourite seen in the whole show haha those scout troopers were straight up awesome.
Two rebels talking
Rebel 1: "whats the last thing thats goes trough an Imp scouttroopers head when he hits a tree?"
Rebel 2: "i dont know"
Rebel 1: "His afterburner" 🤣🤣
Lore and common sense: Stormtroopers are elite soldiers

If I was in the Star Wars universe, I would wear a mix of phase 1 and 2 clone armor like rex with a Scout trooper helmet.

Scouts: "Haha, the speedy boi goes VRRRRR."

It was red vs blue and omg did I laugh
How many stormtroopers did the Empire have just wondering?
None
It was estimated around a couple billion. (Large galaxy)
25000 Star destroyers and 9000 troopers per one so those are the ones stationed in the navy.
With Disney Star Wars,I would say about 300.Everyone else already defected...
