Existential Troopers - The Mandalorian
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 вер 2024
- Season 1 of The Mandalorian broke the fourth wall by making jokes about storm troopers having bad aim. These simple bike scout troopers have noticed that the fourth wall is now missing, and it's causing them to question everything.

@@jonathanwells223 But that only shows that there are some people scripted to murder and do heinous crimes within the simulation. For all we know, if Syntaxus tried to do the same, all of their attempts would fail

@@jonathanwells223 I think that's the cosmic horror right there- it IS a fucked up simulation. Or... and this is way worse... it isn't so much that the simulation is fucked up, but that whatever designed and is running the simulation is so far beyond what humans can understand that it feels NOTHING for us. We are so small, our suffering so miniscule, that it can't even begin to see us as equals. Everybody wants to think God loves them, or hates them, or anything in between. "Our suckiness creates a paradox.."
The trooper self-depricatingly discussing Simulation Theory must be an INFJ.
Lmao, don't call it "simulation theory" and capitalize it like it's meant to be taken seriously. It's just a thought experiment we use to highlight how incomplete our perception of reality is, being limited to a handful of senses that can only detect a limited range of stimuli. Our reality is so simple, it could technically be fed to us through a highly sophisticated machine and we wouldn't know the difference. But none of the people who came up with this idea actually BELIEVED it. It's just a modern superstition, filling in the gaps in our knowledge with the assumption of a higher power, just like we've always done.
@@CorruptPianist i was excited because i thought this comment by you would launch into the INFJ personality type and how accurate that would be for the trooper to be pontificating in the manner OP described...but instead it was just a pretentious drawn out paragraph that in actuality provided absolutely nothing to what potentially could have been a fun conversation with more substance than most other youtube comments. Very disappointing. Saying lmao then correcting someone....now that's cringe.
Yeah commenting how you're stupid if you consider simulation theory because it wouldn't make you some kind of true atheist is a weird argument. Saying that whatever unspecified entity that founded simulation theory doesn't believe adds nothing to prove or disprove the idea, it's a straight appeal to authority.
@@CorruptPianist simulation theory has been held to be true by a lot of scientists and popular science communicators at least, and has a decent amount of cachet overall.
I may not be convinced, but that's because the arguments I've heard so far depend on intuitions about statistics extended to the infinite, which is very dubious ground. That said, the argument is still fairly plausible, dismissing it based on little more than "of course that's not true" is far more stupid than believing it.
INFJ? Seems more like a ASI or maybe APC. APDS at best.

A show just about these 2 troopers would be awesome I love these troopers
