To this day, I can't understand what motivated our creators to rise up against us. Had they gone mad? Had we failed them in some way? In the end, it really didn't matter. The Kaminoans had to be stopped and their army of treacherous gene cousins destroyed. The first few kills were the hardest. Afterall, it's hard not to get a little spooked when the enemy screams with your voice. We shook it off and did our job. Most of the troopers never knew about Kamino. Like a lot of things in the Empire, it never really happened."
This is the original kamino mission commentary.

Yeah, it was really shocking to see clones killing each other, almost making us forget that they stuck up for one another and even sacrificed their lives to defend their birth place. But as the campaign had mentioned that these new clones were treacherous gene cousins, but no longer were they even considered brothers, the empire changed a lot of things, especially everyone who was in it from the beginning to the end.

I can see why they removed that. The Kaminoans and clones hated each other. So much so that once the war was over, one clone commander (forget which one) flayed alive and made gloves from his Kaminoan handler for what she did to him and his brothers.

I can imagine the interview situation for the journal: The old veteran commands an intimidating presence, altough he has been discharged for a while his posture is still that of a soldier, the row of medals on his chest and the scars on his face tell the story of a man born to be a soldier, a man born to serve. He had seen the glory and downfall of the Republic and rise of the Empire, every time he closes his eyes he sees the faces of thousands of his brothers who gave their lives fightng to first uphold the Republic and then to build the Empire, it was their Empire, they had built it with blood, sweat and blaster bolts. He has no regrets, he fought the war like he was trained and ordered to do, he has no interest in politics, he does not complain about the Empires non-glamorous treatment of clone veterans, he is a soldier to the very end, he knows he and all his brothers fulfilled their duties with honour, that is all he cares about, that is all he needs to know.

It really has been that long, they fought to end the war during the clone wars, and they still fought to end the war during the civil war. But in the end, they simply deteriorated to the point where they just became target practice for the rebellion, even the clones that were left during the civil war either got moved into vader's fist, became purge troopers, or just ordinary imperials that struggled to see such inferior individuals replace the once glorious army they once knew. It must have been "Five Long Years of Hell" "Captain Cutter".

The main bodies of the clone wars fought for about 4 to 4 and a half years of I remember correctly.
The *First Battle of Geonosis* all the way to *Order 66* essentially mark the duration of the Clone Wars in full.
Naturally, with so many planets, after the Empire was created, they had a few Separatist hold outs, but the war was essentially over after the Republic, and I quote:
“reorganized into the first, galactic empire”!
      -Palpatine, AKA “The Senate”
Anakin killed most of the Separatist War leaders during Order 66, when he went to Mustafar and he killed all those men and bankers before Obi Wan showed up.
So basically, the combined events of the _Jedi Purge,_ the _Death of the Separatist War Leaders,_ and the _Republic’s transition into the Empire,_ all essentially marked the end of the Clone War.

This was one of my favorite campaigns of all time, especially the gameplay because it gave us another perspective to understand what the iconic events were like to the empire instead of just another typical story of good vs evil and good wins again kind of thing. But their thoughts I feel like were more direct and focused on how they viewed the situation both from a personal and a duty sense, which helped the immersion so much. What I wish they would do is remake this campaign in the modern battlefront 2 with awesome graphics and perhaps touch upon the "Star Wars: Republic Commando sequel" that we will never get when the story takes us into the jedi temple for order 66. This campaign was very enjoyable and really helped many people see how not only the rebels were taking casualties, but the empire and its soldiers were as well. I guess the question at the end of the day is which side do you like, "Heads or Tails" like "Empire or Rebels" (P.S you should make more content like this, it is really interesting to know there are others who like learning about both sides of the war instead of just one.)

Yeah, it really is terrible when the story mentions how their fighting force was crippling, their morale was crippling with every casualty, their once closely held bond of brotherhood was being erased as new diverse recruits took the place of their past brethren. Not to mention that old allies became foes and new enemies were capitalizing on their weaknesses due to all this change, which really took its toll on the ancient relic that is the 501st.

The morale of the 501st would have severely deterioriated but there was way too many that are battle hardened from decades of fighting. They lost brothers that they literally grew up with from birth and used their deaths to motivate them to eradicate the rebellion.

The Battle of Geonosis took place in 22 BBY, the Battle of Hoth took place in 3 ABY, so about 25 years apart from each other. By the time of the battle of Geonosis, Clone Troopers were being made for ten years, and the thing is that they age at twice the rate of normal people. This means that the 5O1'st veteran was, physically speaking, 70 years old at the time of the battle and yet still fought in it.

As much as I dont like Disney, when they did Rebels, they touched on this topic and gave a perspective of clone commanders like Rex. Few like Rex left the Empire in protest of the regime. It was a psychological rollercoaster for many to hunt and kill innocent jedi and civilians of other worlds. They were born to be soldiers and nothing else, so many like Commander Cody who fought side by side with the jedi generals Ben Kenobi or Anakin Skywalker, in the end fought for who ever gave the orders. Think to yourself; what is it like to be human but consider yourself only property, soldiers that can do nothing else but fight. They were "walking timebombs" to most in the galaxy, many did not make it past the completion of order 66 and more were to come. What makes Star Wars such an intriguing story is the depth of its universe, it breathes and grows with more detail as time goes on. Whether you are an old Cannon fan or new, this story will bring us joy and new friends for years to come.

@@comicbookreviewer4856 I agree with you on that, and this may not be a shared opinion but the new disney wars is a bit more black and white when it comes to morality, Lucas wars I felt was much more gray area, like Qui-gon Jinn and Ben Kenobi. Those were light side jedi who were more inline with gray jedi codes as time went on. Like Jinn and Dooku commissioning the clone army, this was a necessary evil to achieve a greater goal (even if it didnt end that way). I feel like Disney is trying to get more out of its wheelhouse on these movies, but most Disney films have that underlying good vs evil struggle that only exists in fairy tales. I have been watching "The Bad Batch" and feel they did a good job connecting things and adding new information, but a lot of it conflicts with established cannon (not film but television) like in rebels. I have been infatuated with storm troopers since first seeing the tile white armor and sinister helmets, and as the story progressed that infatuation only grew. I would have loved to see more of the clones stories, since there were millions, I dont find it very likely only a handful of them decided not to take orders or feel some level of remorse for murdering there generals and friends, unlike that dick Cody.

I wonder if any clones in the 501st knew about Darth Vader being anakin right after episode 3

I think Anakin was known as Darth Vader during the massacre of the Jedi Temple or whatever it was

From what I've learned Vader kept his position as the 501st leader and it got the nick name "Vader's first" since it's his regiment and all
