This defiantly added to Vader's paranoia, but it also no doubtable added to other parts of his character: For one during this mission, he kept having visions of Padme who told him how he had killed her and was no longer the good man she fell in love with, and seeing Garoche and Saro reminded him of what he had lost, which is why he brought the entire building down on them all, himself including, he was partially hoping this would kill him and put him out of his misery, but like Sion before him Vader was too strong in the Dark Side so he survived, even if he wants to get killed he can't because he's too angry and strong to go down. As the Ninth Sister once pointed out, Vader is like an animal in someways, he's constantly looking for people to kill while secretly hoping one day someone will finally kill him and end his suffering, but that suffering makes him angry which makes him even stronger which makes it hard for him to die despite his own attempts and the attempts of others. He's just got too much anger for it to work. And that anger not only comes from anger towards himself for what he has become, but anger towards the Emperor who he fully knows is just using him and that he is no more than a slave to the Emperor, just like Shale said, and he has no one else in the Empire he can trust because everyone either hates him or fears him, so they will all turn on him if they have to so his anger only grows from the lack of anyone he can truly trust.
This is my favorite Darth Vader Legends story. Unfortunately, it seems… ‘cursed’ to either have a number of details left out when discussed or to be misinterpreted altogether. Though in this case, it seems to be a bit of both. For example, Darth Vader got angry enough to break free of his restrains because he saw what appeared to be Padmé’s ghost. In his anger, he drove her away, only to want her to come back right after. Vader beat the shit out of Tarkin, demanding to know where his wife was. You can even see him going back and forth between blue eyes and the burning orange in that part of the story. Vader tore down the building in despair, hoping to take his own life, only to wake up alive so robotic limbs could be painfully reattached to his body. This was the closest he ever got to turning back to the Light before Luke comes along. And they tried turning Vader to their cause, not to use him, but so they can help him. Their ‘queen’ was actually very compassionate, hoping to help ease Vader’s pain.
To be honest attempting to kill vader is not a smart move, even if they did succeed the empire would probably be aware in who was last with vader and hunt them down to either interrogate or execute, plus vader is second to the emperor they should of expected that he would be that powerful for a reason unless this was early on before when the imperial didn't like vader and thought of him poorly. Let’s be honest no elite fighting force in the Galaxy could come close in potentially killing Darth Vader unless they were going to literally burn a entire planet down, maybe that may not be enough to bring him down. Darth Vader had no rival until his son rose to challenge him in the second Death Star, and the Imperial Armed Forces couldn’t hope to kill Vader without some serious support.
Well, his apprentice, Galen Marek, could have killed Vader, and Palpatine as well, but he decided to cover the escape of what became Alliance High Command instead.

I thought inferno sqaud was the only special forces in the empire
Oh boy, are you in for a lot lol. The Empire probably fielded the most special forces of all major factions in Star Wars. I think there's a video on UA-cam going into detail on all of them
Storm Commando's
Death Trooper's
Imperial Commando's
Nova Trooper's
Terror Trooper's
Shadow Trooper's
Shadow EVO Trooper's
Imperial Royal Guard
CompForce
@@weegee_darthno4045 All that and more lol
@@weegee_darthno4045 Damn, Inferno Squad and the TIE Commandos look like the shittiest of the Special Forces troops when compared to even half of the ones in this list.
This begs the question, stormcommando vs deathtrooper? Who y’all got?
Ima go ahead and say stormcommando since they were an actual elite commando unit in the imperial army whereas death troopers were just super heavily armed bodyguards Krennic and a few other imperial officers used. Both of them are badass tho
@@NighTMare-gv8gz that is a good point, personally I would go with the death troopers as they seem much more heavily armoured, and working in much smaller elite groups probably suggests they’re more specialized combatants, opposed to the storm commandos larger platoon groups. But can’t help with agreeing both are super cool!
You can't really compare them since Storm Commandos are special forces commandos trained in sabotage, assasination and destruction. The Death Troopers are elite bodyguards deployed to protect Imperial officers. They have different purposes
Sweet 👍
didn't you do a video about this before
As Vader he hated everyone.
I wonder how they compared to the death troopers
It’s because they could fight in sandstorms
The Empire should of still used clones as clone commandos during the reign of the Empire
