Plus we’ve got hella hiking and camping and all sorts of outdoors stuff if you’re into that, even if it’s just a casual picnic you drive to and still have cell service, so a little something for everyone regardless of how woodsy. As a soldier it’s honestly really relatable. Being bored on duty is universal and I’m sure there’s many who were pulling security that can attest to goofy convos with the boys across all our branches
Just stumbled on to this video. Not a star wars guy there fine whatever, but man you hit the nail on the head when talking about riding. Very well stated.
The whole thing with being zen on a bike is the same feeling I get with longboarding. Get on a long walking trail, pop in some music, and go. Bonus too if it's really hilly since on the way back it's minimal pushing and the trail just takes you. Then you may come across a steep hill or intentionally seek it out and you just commit. You either go full on and zoom down it or you carve it like a wave(which is why I do, I don't wanna die lol), but still going pretty fast and is just a rush. Then when it evens out and is flat again it's just a really calming feeling.
Trying to not die? You reach that Senn place when you don’t think about that stuff. Since age 14 I ve been riding motorcycles and since I ve not recognised any of my almost suicidal actions as dangerous. Clearly I ve got bigger problems like breathing in spring and summer cause of my allergic reactions to pollen. Love the content. Let’s go Allen!
They (the ones away from the town having an extensive conversation and shooting at random shit to prove how inaccurate the pistols were) were a reference to the old Red vs Blue series "why are we here?". The Argentinian military still uses the Stahlhelm, German uses it for special events, some African countries use it, and many other countries, US included have their own variation of the German Stahlhelm. Plus the Stahlhelm itself is a more modern version of a design from the middle ages.
That was a good one... BUT, GOOD, hired help is hard enough to find in OUR reality... Imagine how much worse it is multiplied by a huge Galaxy... Even if they was met by a basically retired Assassin Droid turned Nanny in his retired years.
When I would ride my bike as a kid in the country whenever I looked behind me to check for any cars it would remind me of the scout trooper from return of the jedi checking behind himself. I always wanted to have a speeder bike.
Legit the best scene and realest characters in the Mandoverse. Ywah, it definitely broke the tension up, was kinda quarky when it shouldnt had been. But hey, thats life. Someone always ready with a snappy one liner or jab lol. We need more writing like that with other characters.
Honestly out of all the conversations I’ve had in the military and all the ones I’ve seen from stormtroopers, the one at the end of Mandalorian season 1 is the most accurate. It’s that hurry up and wait shit coupled with boredom that makes it realistic
I hope that in the future when using scout troopers in the story they see this video and continue to create them this way because this does feel spot on as an analysis
I still remeber when this episdoe came out, I saw the clip and thought it was some silly dub some fans made to parody the show. Then I watched the episode and could not stop laughing fron these two guys
Scout troopers are my favorite. (Obviously)...followed closely by the very similar patrol trooper seen in solo!😁 perhaps your next video should cover the lesser known about patrol troopers?😊
Beyond the freedom of riding, there were probably other perks to being in the Scout Trooper Corps. As long as the scout trooper(s) did his/her duties and did not violate them, the position could have the privilege of a wide latitude. The scout trooper could have been the "go to guy" like the supply sergeant who ran a side hustle. Also, as a member of a small team, there were probably greater opportunities for personal glory and (monetary) reward.
Worth noting that most Imperial Commandos started off as Scout Troopers, which might explain why the armor of said commandos was just scout trooper armor but in black.
I had the pleasure of listening to my late Father-in-law's stories as an Army Ranger during the Korean War. His whole Military career would probably make a good read. He went deep into the North 12 times and never fired his weapon. One squad member did shoot a boar because he was starving.
I'm going to be pedantic here but my inner gun nut is triggered by the EC17. You opted for a side trigger rather enlarging the trigger guard. Who designed this thing, some penny pinching bureaucrat who only wants "military grade" equipment?
besides, why even have a trigger guard in the first place if you're gonna have a side trigger like that? it completely defeats the purpose of the trigger guard
I've said it one if not a hundred times, and it's a well documented fact that storm trooper armor is the best armor accept against - slaps, punches, kicks, sticks, stones, logs, boulders, trees, sling stones, bullets, lazers, side glances and harsh words. Otherwise as far as armor goes it's the bee's knees.
I remember reading somewhere that the EC-17 was actually one of the crappiest blaster pistols in the universe, and was strongly disliked by everyone who used it.
It’s interesting that the imperial officers in rebels and most across the media look similar to the Ss while the stormtroopers definitely WW1 elites of the German imperial army.
Honestly, that was the most real scene. They were just waiting while one was bored and curious, and the other was trying to take it seriously.

But the Kenobi show ruins that
This channel is so good that even with some of the worst audio quality I've heard it's still good enough that I like it.
Zipping through a forest on a hover-bike that's twice as fast as a Formula 1 car? What could possibly go wrong?
Sweet glad you covered the Scouts again, i always liked their helmet
Helicopter pilots seem to have the same attitude as these Scout Troopers. They're flying incredibly dangerous machines with complex controls that require constant adjustments, so they need to have a special kind of mindset.
I’ve always said rotary pilots are absolutely insane, which is exactly why I want to be a rotary pilot (Not for military but for air medical). It takes a special kind of person to fly a machine that by all laws of physics should not be able to be stable in the air
@@foldervtolvr studying all the laws of physics that keep those things stable in the air has made me want to stay as far from designing or working on helicopters as possible.
i love another detail that their Visor is Considerably larger than a Stormtrooper giving them more Awareness and field of view.
a fellow rider! love what you do. I’ll be happy to donate once I get that raise at work
I sold my bike when I got out the Army in 2015 and this video has me looking up bike sales.
I miss that zen mode and for some reason forgot how beautiful it feels.
Dude come check out the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Dragon’s Tail here in western NC! Plus we’ve got hella hiking and camping and all sorts of outdoors stuff if you’re into that, even if it’s just a casual picnic you drive to and still have cell service, so a little something for everyone regardless of how woodsy. Great place to ride motorcycles, it draws thousands of bikers every year being smack in the middle of the Appalachian mountains
As a soldier it’s honestly really relatable. Being bored on duty is universal and I’m sure there’s many who were pulling security that can attest to goofy convos with the boys across all our branches
I remember when I was a kid, I used to carry around a Scout Trooper action figure everywhere I went. I miss that toy. 😢
Just stumbled on to this video. Not a star wars guy there fine whatever, but man you hit the nail on the head when talking about riding. Very well stated.
100% facts on the joy of riding motorcycles.
"They remind me of my friends."
Scout Trooper immediately punches a baby. 😂
I hate the lack of peripheral vision.
Also, some riders wear read scarves and bug helmets, looking for monsters to kick.
Love ur realism bro. Keep it coming
Not video related but its fascinating how much content u analyze ab star wars making even the little scenes mean something
I dig youre take on all this sounds like you really dug in and did that hole study up thing
"Baby Gogurt"...LOL! Love those little micro-jokes that you slip in in such a way that it could be easily missed. 🤣
May favorite scene. I can tell you as a person who had served in the military with scouts. This was a very accurate scene to life in the military.
As a prior cav scout in the Army, i have to say this video is hella accurate
I love the scout trooper scene because it gives an idea of what goes on when they are on duty/of duty
Wasnt aware you also twist the throttle...... glad to see brother,!!
I hope that in the future when using scout troopers in the story they see this video and continue to create them this way because this does feel spot on as an analysis
I still remeber when this episdoe came out, I saw the clip and thought it was some silly dub some fans made to parody the show. Then I watched the episode and could not stop laughing fron these two guys
my favorite is when the troopers knock out baby yoda it always cracks me up
Scout troopers are my favorite. (Obviously)...followed closely by the very similar patrol trooper seen in solo!😁 perhaps your next video should cover the lesser known about patrol troopers?😊
I'm not so sure Palpatine was truly scared of individuality or chaos itself but just desired absolute power for it's own sake.
This is so much real talk between these two troopers.
Having been a bored af Spc. I can confirm this is the most enlisted shit I’ve seen in a tv show
Unrelated question. What is the genre of the background music in this video and those similar to this?
Riding my motorcycle doesn't cure my depression and anxiety, but the mindfulness it takes to ride well seriously helps for days after a ride.
I loved this video. I’m not a biker but my brother does those 8 hr-2 day outings living just off of his bike.
Hey it was an older video, but OwnASaber sponsored one of your videos. I bought one! I got the Tormentor with your MEOW Code. That thing is amazing
Based on how you describe biking, you should try skydiving. Same kind of zen, "in the moment" feeling.
Wonder how many scout troopers on Endor decided "Fuck this. I'm not getting eaten by murder teddybears." And just ran for it on their speeder bikes.
me and my friends still have PTSD over that....don't make fun of it!
Ran for it to where? Theyd still be stuck on that moon with a buch of murder teddybears?
I'm going to be pedantic here but my inner gun nut is triggered by the EC17. You opted for a side trigger rather enlarging the trigger guard. Who designed this thing, some penny pinching bureaucrat who only wants "military grade" equipment?
besides, why even have a trigger guard in the first place if you're gonna have a side trigger like that? it completely defeats the purpose of the trigger guard
This video turned out more philosophical than I expected
My kinda people, lmao
I found it hilarious that they missed shooting at a can. Do they really those hold-out blasters can do serious damage?
I mean it made leia crash.. the real problems the button trigger it’s so dumb
@@GenerationTechIt also got me with that Scout trooper on Ryloth that thinks he can just shoot the Ghost with it in Rebels
I thought the EC-17 hold-out blaster actually packed a solid punch, especially for being so small.
@@GenerationTech LOL!
Even if they can do serious damage, something rattling in your own blaster is not a good sign at all
I've said it one if not a hundred times, and it's a well documented fact that storm trooper armor is the best armor accept against - slaps, punches, kicks, sticks, stones, logs, boulders, trees, sling stones, bullets, lazers, side glances and harsh words. Otherwise as far as armor goes it's the bee's knees.
Me: Listening to this video while cleaning my motercycle.
Hears mentioning of motercycle.
Me:😮
I love my motorbike. Your right it's very Zen sometimes. Bought it new and every mod done was with my own hands
I remember reading somewhere that the EC-17 was actually one of the crappiest blaster pistols in the universe, and was strongly disliked by everyone who used it.
It's Bunta Eve Live! Featuring Jason Sueikis. Musical guest, rhe cantina house band. Tonight's host, Mof Gideon
Guys. I think he rides a motorcycle..... don't know where the vibe comes from. BUT its definitely there
You mean to tell me individuality = to broken toys?
I'd be fuked up then lol
those two always reminded me of griff and simmons from red vs blue
Haven't thought about that show in a long time.
That was the most Andor like scene in the Mandalorian. Just low level grunts being low level grunts
I know that there ain't much info on the topic, but I kinda want to see your take on ARF-troopers, scout troopers predecessors from clone wars
It’s interesting that the imperial officers in rebels and most across the media look similar to the Ss while the stormtroopers definitely WW1 elites of the German imperial army.
The view behind you makes it look like you're on the planet of Corisant😂😂
A stormtrooper show where they are just bros would be so good .... Say like M.A.S.H but in Star wars would be so cool
Adam I like it when you share your life with us
The German term for assault forces was sturmtruppen in case you were looking for more analogies
"Smart enough to see how terrible the empire is, wise enough to just cope with it."
I loved that scene, because it was so relatable in a way, like me and my sister bickering. It humanized them so much to me and it was just funny
In the WestEnd books, a stormtrooper could never be bribed. 4:50
