Thompson Gym got that Oldschool Garage Gym character like in the 80s and 90s, where neighborhood friends and team mates would meet up to lift big, push each, and BBQ after. Such an awesome place!
Hey Juji I have kind of a weird question. Have you ever been approached about going on the Joe Rogan Experience? Its seems to me you'd be a great guest. you and Joe both obviously love fitness, have some mutual friends, are entertainers, and he already reps your brand. He knows who you are, I just dont understand how this happened already! idk if you even will see this but I was just curios and figured I wouldd have a better chance getting a response from you than Joe lol.
yep! her arms were growing so much from powerlifting accessory work that she actually started competing in strict curl competitions a couple years ago haha
wow, when I was 19 was training hardcore bodybuilding gym, had this guy who helped me learn how to squat and deadlift , now he had been doing powerlifting for over 30 years and told me to fix place on wall to keep my head and my eyes in line , so bring back memories when they were talking about the squat and keep head up look at something to fix the eyes on
These people are on point with their approach to strength training. Several philosophies concur with very successful international lifters i knew in the 80s and 90s.
My highschool coach sat in a corner and read a book. Litterly a figure it out for urself situation. This was before youtube was big so no real info. Idk how there wernt injuries
I can’t tell you how much I love this series! Gets me thinking about how I would show off my own little gym space for a camera crew if I ever got the chance 😂
I'm so happy hearing they do 8 day splits, those rest days are so necessary. Even though I don't do regular lifting, I still find I'm much stronger after an extended rest like a week after a good heavy lift session, so a 2-3 day rest between sessions makes a lot of sense. It probably helps to extend the amount of rest with age as well.
I played around with the days…3 days off and I’m weak. I basically workout bench Monday Wednesday Friday …legs Tuesday Thursday Like Jen said in the video, you gotta find what works for you.
I vow to one day become great, this is my solemn declaration that I will one day become great, to write my name into history to get strong to become a goat of any strength sport. This is my soul in these comments.
She claims natural - and with her wanting 200g of protein a day - makes sense her arm size. I don’t care if people take - just want transparency (unlike Mike O’Hearn) 😜
I still use the pinkies que from the colab video you did ages ago, used it for teaching aswell, it is such an easy que to tighten the lats and your grip etc. Helped my bench/ohp and more a LOT.
You mean i could get a lifetime membership to workout with a world class athlete for the price of a dumbbell rack? That's a deal if I've ever heard one
Buffalo bar won't hurt you on bench press if you're doing it correctly, but if you're dropping it to your chest and catching it at the bottom like a powerlifter you will.
Correction 2 seconds in---She is the POUND FOR POUNDTHE GREATEST BENCH PRESSER OF ALL TIME. Being female doesn't discredit male lifters it just makes her that much better.
Yes it does, also she is not the best bench presser P4P of all time. A walking living legend. Saying "she is the best FEMALE bench presser P4P of all time" is not discrediting her!
@@RumblyGLat one point she was the best pound for pound (male/female) she has even said so on her channel. It seems there is someone who passed her not long ago, however is ‘sus’ he used some form of peds. (she is natural)
It is a nice gym, but I'm more interested in what strength training methods she used to become incredibly strong. Is she using Zatsiorsky's 4 strength training methods and Louie Simmon's Conjugate Strength Training Methods? It seems to me she is doing something different or, at least, extra, because almost all powerlifters are using Zatsiorsky's 4 strength training methods and Louie Simmon's Conjugate Strength Training Method. I suggest in future videos, ask these strength champions what special strength tips they are willing to reveal, like Tommy Kono, "The Greatest American Weightlifter of All-TIme" went out of his way to reveal.
Ah, when you have the experience she has… I’ve seen men young and old with shoulder injuries from bench, in my gym, from not lifting correctly. So careful with your lifts😊

Massive fan of these guys. A shinning example of having to be smart, organised and positive if you want to achieve at a high level.

I just learned she is 51. Nearly my mother's age! Crazy. She looks younger than that (maybe 40?) and she is ridiculously strong.
No....she looks 51 maybe something like 55 with saggy boobs😂😂
We have a “Thompson-board” in our homegym 💪

Love the Thompsons, what a set of achievements.
Really great video! Good vibes all around and really impressive couple. Love the gym and the series.
In the five years of lifting, I never heard doing curls to avoid bicep tears in over under deadlifts except in the last week, I have heard it twice.
Yeah Deadlifting with a bent elbow and underhand always puts the bicep at risk no matter how strong it is
