You mentioned hoarding, dirty house, awake all night, drinking, taking anxiety medication and when asked about the smell she said it was a rat baking in the oven! 😮 This all points to a very mentality disturbed person. In Angela's mind this man coming by and having a drink and talking to her when the world was sleeping was the greatest thing in her life and Jimmy asking her for more money broke her and made her feel used. So in her broken mind she killed him to protect herself from financial ruin. In her insanity this all makes sense and she's the victim. Very tragic, I hope her children are receiving mental health care.

I live in Vo-lu-sha (Volusia) County in Daytona Beach and my BF works in Deltona (Just Deltona, not Deltona Beach). This story is just one of many of the crazy things that happen here. I should just have a whole channel that podcasts all the crazy murders/crimes that happen here...I would be set for life!! Thank you for putting our little slice of Florida in the spotlight though, you always do the best research and cover every detail!
Recently watched this case on some TV show. It portrayed James as a man who "endeared"and wormed his way into this mentally ill, lonely woman's life. The show indicated he had a gambling problem and borrowed from others as well. Apparently his wife and son were oblivious to the fact he was "borrowing" so much money from Angela. Didn't they wonder where the extra $$ came from? James basically extorted money from Angela so his family could have "everything they deserved". NOT that this is a reason to brutally kill someone, of course. The show made him out to be a great guy-AGAIN-what he did didn't have to result in his murder. Just another very sad case.
It was probably Fear Thy Neighbor. I just watched it randomly right before seeing this video. They definitely portrayed him as a bad person and Angela as the victim of some scum bag who borrowed money to pay back borrowed money to pay back borrowed money. I haven't watched this video yet so I'm interested to see what details Annie tells that the show didn't.
I was in Volusia County Jail with her for about 10 months. I was in lock up (the hole) for 7 of those. I was in the same block as her (murder block) for about 6 weeks. She picked her skin, asked to rub my feet with lotion (I said no), and got very upset when she couldn’t have her emotional support horse in the courtroom with her. Definitely strange one.
@@Cyber_Sleuth_Steph I don’t even know. She was upset when she came back from court one day, “They won’t let me have my animals there for emotional support. Not even the horse!” I didn’t know what she was there for specifically. I was in that block to fuck up a baby killer, then it was back to the hole for me. I gasped when I saw the first few minutes of this episode though!
Ok, Annie, I can always handle what u bring us no matter how hard it is to hear, but in this case , I just couldn't when u mentioned the rat part... I was with right you. This woman was just crazy. I feel so bad for his family and children. Many prayers to them❤❤❤. Thanks, Annie, as always!!! Much love and support as always ❤❤❤
In the fact that she could just say to her daughter oh that's just a rat cooking in the oven and the daughter just like oh ok I mean WTF lol people are crazy💯
I believe the Grand Jury got it right. I believe it was premeditated. One thing a rep payee for SS is for those too impaired to handle their own finances. The rep payee is 100 legally responsible for accounting for how it's spent. No way this would work with dysfunctional people.
Jury ordered a pizza? After hearing that testimony about baking & then boiling a man’s legs, feet & his head, how on earth was any member of that jury hungry?
Hello Annie! Just here to say thank you for your hard work. I also want to say I sincerely appreciate your wording when you talk about s*xual crimes. As someone who gets very triggered by that topic you make it so I can listen to these important stories and be able think of/pray for the victims. Thank you ❤
I laughed way too hard when you got nauseous. Something about your reaction was so hilarious and adorable! I love hanging out with my girl Annie Elise! 😅😅❤
Annie, just want to chime in to tell you that not only do I love and appreciate your videos (as disturbing as many of them are), I also love how you put yourself out there, au naturale, sans makeup with messy hair and do an ad for tea. It makes you even more of a YT true crime bestie to see you looking like anyone else, but also just like yourself. TY for keeping it real.
This detective has to have significant training in mental health issues. He knows exactly how to adjust his questioning techniques. It is very sad to see so many lives affected by unaddressed mental health issues. There is no winner here.😢
What a strange dynamic. It sounds to me like she convinced him to get SSID benefits when he was still able to work. She talked him into letting her be the payee, for 100$ a month, supposedly. Who was profiting from who here? Then his gambling got all of them in hot water and it pissed her off. Where was his wife during all this? She is just fine with her husband hanging out with the weird drunk lady next door??
Na I think as soon as she learned he had a gambling problem she talked him into doing the benefits and letting her be the payee so she could murder him and keep collecting the check and make it seem like he was hiding out. I think she premeditated the whole thing and even made that strangling tool and got the ice pick just for that reason
I think he asked her to be the payee because the disability he has requires a payee. I think she was spending his money and he figured out and asked her to ask her dad for the money to pay what she took because now he couldn't pay his rent. He was going to turn her in.
I was not a military child but we moved every 4 to 5 months growing up. I was the new kid in school my whole life. It is very hard for me to bond with people but murder is beyond my capabilities. Experiences like that either makes you or breaks you. It obviously broke her.
I was a military kid and I was always the new kid in school (I also have a thyroid condition...scary!!!). I never learned to bond with people, I'm a very solitary person but that's fine by me because I don't feel the need to socialize, I like being by myself or with my husband. I think the military environment is very toxic for children growing up in military families. I once spoke to a military psychiatrist and he told me there was a high rate of suici*e in military families. I had some behavioral issues as a kid, but I grew out of them and nowadays, if I thought someone was taking advantage of me (like she thought he was doing) I'd ask the police to intervene and let them handle it, there's no way I'd be killing someone and trying to cook him. I do understand she had a rough childhood and youth, I know how it feels, but it doesn't give her the right to gruesomely murder people.
This woman is completely unhinged and this detective is really doing a great job controlling that and getting answers out of her. She is completely whacked out 😮
I personally think she’s been in self defense mode since day one of her life. Why else would parents let a 15 year old get married and leave state? Jimmy was the unfortunate one to get an ice pick in both eyes and cord around his neck. Nah, this one was just a matter of time.
Right!! I'm sorry but when I see comments like 'well I married my husband at 15 or 16 and we're still together' or 'I was married young and had 100 kids and I'm doing fine' yeah that's absolutely not a flex!!! Victims, the lot of them
Well, dismembering & cooking 👩🍳your friend, could explain why she didn’t have many friends. I get people get busy w friends & can dial the numbers back, but it is screwed up that you could do this to anyone, let a known a “friend”. Glad you covered a case I haven’t heard of, in the past.☺️
She was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to life without parole in 2014. It’s very very difficult to get off on insanity. Only a very small percentage of defendants successfully execute an insanity defense. You have to prove the defendant was so far removed from reality they didn’t know right from wrong. She clearly knew what she did was wrong, evidenced by the elaborate lie she told detectives to try to claim self defense. She was clear and coherent in her interviews and in all communication with detectives and the court and she didn’t show an ounce of remorse during her trial.
OMG!!! I live in Deltona, and I remember when this happened. It's all we talked about, and now to see you cover it, is amazing. I mean, Annie, you're a big deal. Thanks for putting Deltona on the "map"😅
This is absolutely horrible. Narcissistic abuse has some interesting side effects. There's videos on here if you want to hear about the side effects it causes in people. If that was the trauma she went through, it would explain more of her actions but not excuse them. It's hard to say but we all know money is at the top of the list for why people get ended.
no but fr, like it doesn’t excuse the behavior at all but it’s crazy to think abt. my ex best friend was in a horrible textbook abusive relationship with a cheating narcissist sociopath that she’s still going to court for over a year later after the breakup. she changed JURISTICALLY from before and after the relationship which is expected but it was in a scary way and that’s why i said ex best friend. i’m worried about what’s gonna happen with her and her schizophrenic boyfriend, not that any of these mental issues inherently make someone crazy, one of them fs might end up dead.
I've seen several people's takes on this case. I think he was a bit more of a con man than youre giving him credit for. He was using this lady and didnt care if he caused her $ issues. She believed his lies and that caused her problems. But I can see how she lost it when he did it once again.
He had 4 kids & they didn’t have water in the house plus was about to be evicted? He had a gambling problem so bad that he didn’t care if his wife & kids were about to be homeless?!! I bet he was extremely angry when she told him she was done helping him with money but to chop up his body & boil him is so gruesome & insane!!!
@@angelabiery-jones5556 Yep. He was a bastard and she lost her mind. I still believe she knew it was wrong. She's criminally liable. But, wow. Talk about dysfunction...😳

They just did a 'Fear thy Neighbor ' episode on this case but the tell it from a different vantage point I recommend to anyone who might like a broader picture.. mad love Anne, i thought you would like the extra info from that show.
Thank you for covering this case for us, Annie, and looking up the gruesome details so that we didn’t have to you’re always amazing! I just don’t even know what to say even if it is self-defense going as far as she did as to cutting him up and basically cooking him I mean I just don’t know defending yourself is one thing I get it but if that’s the case, then why not just call the police right then and there and tell them hey this is what happened and I had to kill him but she did not do that, honestly, I just don’t even know what to think.
There is just sooo much to comment on here, but the one thing that made me smile wryly was when she said it was the rat. I thought to myself, She’s making an inside joke. There of course is zero funny about this. His family and children have lost an integral member of their family. However, my personal coping mechanism is sarcasm and humor. Thanks for getting through this Annie. It’s beyond gruesome.
Purchased beam because of you! I’m excited! I have the worst insomnia thanks to my mom having me on prescription sleeping bills starting in elementary!
Holy crap that went south quickly what a POS woman poor James he definitely trusted the wrong woman. Thank God James was her only friend I'd hate to see what she would do to an enemy. Maybe that's why she had so many exes. Evil to the core. She looks like a small woman how on earth did she manage to move James around and chop him up all by herself?
The way my jaw dropped when you mentioned he lived in Lancaster, PA. I live just a town over near Hershey. Did not expect that coming from such a gruesome case 😢😳
There’s no way a person doesn’t have some kind of mental illness going on if they can not only do the things she did to her “friend” but to talk about it the way she did
Thank you for taking time out of your life to make these videos for us! Especially with everything youre dealing with! I appreciate your videos and absolutely love, love, love your videos! I steady stalk your page for new uploads! 😂 ❤❤❤
I get the dismemberment for the purpose of an easier disposal but the cooking makes no sense other than some sick ritualistic thing. Reminds me of the Kathryn Knight case here in Australia. Also her description of how she killed him is completely implausible. He’s taken muscle relaxant so he was probably barely conscious and she just went to town on his flaccid body.
It makes me angry when I cross paths with mean, insensitive or callous people, and then I watch true crime and stories like this. Suddenly, I am very thankful that the worst people I have come across are mean, insensitive or callous. It is mind blowing to know just how much worse people can be.
The detective interviewing her was good. He tried to relate to her and make her feel comfortable but get he kept getting her back on track, and asking questions like I was thinking.
She sure is strange, how she did all this and then cooked him. I think she was probably strange all her life. Thanks Annie you sure tell us some strange cases. 😢😮😢
If you get a chance will you please check out Jenniffer and Adrinnia Wix from Springfield Tennessee. Jennifer is the mom of Adrinnia. I actually appreciate the cop not coming at her all “I know you did it you’re going to prison.” He actually talked to her and got her to speak
I have only recently found your page & podcast & I thoroughly enjoy your content! You are professional, well read & your research is very wide ranging & I really appreciate your self deprecation & dry wit, as well peppering your work with hilarious observations & wry swearing. Love to from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Hey Annie! I’m so here for all this great back-to-back content. Thanks for gracing us love. 👌🏾😘♥️
I saw that too.
She has/had an emotional support horse??
@@Cyber_Sleuth_Steph I don’t even know. She was upset when she came back from court one day, “They won’t let me have my animals there for emotional support. Not even the horse!” I didn’t know what she was there for specifically. I was in that block to fuck up a baby killer, then it was back to the hole for me. I gasped when I saw the first few minutes of this episode though!
I bet you’re real glad now your not anywhere near that psycho.
Wowwwwww^^^
what did her feet look like?
The fact that you are so dedicated to us :) thank you for the daily downloads ❤
LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR WORK AND DEDICATION! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO TO BRING AWARENESS ABOUT THESE CASES. YOURE TOTALLY AWESOME! MUCH LOVE FROM OREGON!
The first red flag is that nobody, nobody in the state of Florida has a freaking ice pick!!!!!
Ummm yes we do 😂 we have an ice machine in the garage and the humidity makes the cubes stick so we use an ice pick

😳🐀🍽🍷🤮
I am laughing bc I felt exactly the same. Yikes, just when you think you’ve heard it all!
I believe the Grand Jury got it right. I believe it was premeditated. One thing a rep payee for SS is for those too impaired to handle their own finances. The rep payee is 100 legally responsible for accounting for how it's spent. No way this would work with dysfunctional people.
25:45 Any time a cop or investigator says "makes sense to me" it in fact does not make any sense to them
Jury ordered a pizza?
After hearing that testimony about baking & then boiling a man’s legs, feet & his head, how on earth was any member of that jury hungry?
yes, let’s have a starved and stressed jury.
😳
i’m sure they’ll be able to process and make decisions…

This detective is amazing!
Hello Annie! Just here to say thank you for your hard work.
I also want to say I sincerely appreciate your wording when you talk about s*xual crimes. As someone who gets very triggered by that topic you make it so I can listen to these important stories and be able think of/pray for the victims.
Thank you ❤
Omg...I got visuals as you were describing the cooking...poor James.R.I.P...Never let this woman out of jail.
I laughed way too hard when you got nauseous. Something about your reaction was so hilarious and adorable! I love hanging out with my girl Annie Elise! 😅😅❤
This one is crazy!! You did a great job and the detective was amazing
That investigator sat there and had a whole conversation with her like he was her bestie. She told it all!
This one was really something, thank you for finding the courage to do this case for us.hats off to you Annie
hey true crime besties you just made my morning so much better with your story telling skills hard work and of gorgeous look!
You are so real in your coverage of cases, right down to your gagging reaction. I love your shows.
This detective questioning her is very skilled.
Getting married at 15 is wild
I was so impressed by this investigator. He entertained her and went along with everything she said like it all made perfect semse. Job well done!
This detective has to have significant training in mental health issues. He knows exactly how to adjust his questioning techniques.
It is very sad to see so many lives affected by unaddressed mental health issues. There is no winner here.😢
I'm so glad you covered this case! I haven't seen any coverage other than her interrogations. I watched all of them a few months ago.
@@london5945oh wow! interesting 🤔
I think he asked her to be the payee because the disability he has requires a payee. I think she was spending his money and he figured out and asked her to ask her dad for the money to pay what she took because now he couldn't pay his rent. He was going to turn her in.
I’ve lived here in Deltona for about 13 years, I’ve never heard of this case and was very surprised to hear it on your channel!!
I just watched the new Fear Thy Neighbor episode and it was about this case… Truly disturbing!
Her poor children.
I hope they got and are still getting the help they need to get over something so tragic and devastating in their life.
WHY.. WHHHYYYYYY with all the information available to us are people still speaking to police without a lawyer present??? Mind boggling!! 😮😮😮
This woman is completely unhinged and this detective is really doing a great job controlling that and getting answers out of her. She is completely whacked out 😮
Absolutely love the work you do.. I watch your channel every night before bed thanks for always being dedicated xxxx
WTH !?!?! Have not heard of this case wow what a horrific crime
Hey Annie I hope you’re having a good day! Thank you for covering the cases that you do
I personally think she’s been in self defense mode since day one of her life. Why else would parents let a 15 year old get married and leave state? Jimmy was the unfortunate one to get an ice pick in both eyes and cord around his neck. Nah, this one was just a matter of time.
Sounds like it built up in her and 'fight, flight, freeze' response was all scoowiff. 😢
She’s prob always been crazy and that’s why they let her ass go
And why she couldn’t keep a husband. She prob tried to kill them too
Right!! I'm sorry but when I see comments like 'well I married my husband at 15 or 16 and we're still together' or 'I was married young and had 100 kids and I'm doing fine' yeah that's absolutely not a flex!!! Victims, the lot of them
this right here !@@cammey3
Well, dismembering & cooking 👩🍳your friend, could explain why she didn’t have many friends. I get people get busy w friends & can dial the numbers back, but it is screwed up that you could do this to anyone, let a known a “friend”. Glad you covered a case I haven’t heard of, in the past.☺️
This case is horrible. Prayers for both families. She'll probably get off by insanity. Hope everyone is having a good day.
Thanks for all your amazing work, I am so happy every time you upload a new video. I always know it will be excellently done.
@@angelabiery-jones5556 I completely agree with you that he was definitely using her for services, sympathy and money
@@angelabiery-jones5556 Yep. He was a bastard and she lost her mind. I still believe she knew it was wrong. She's criminally liable. But, wow. Talk about dysfunction...😳
They both were on meth.
@@angelabiery-jones5556
He shouldn't have took advantage of and exploited a mentally ill woman or anyone for that matter. You never know how someone will react
This is troubling. I am speechless. You are so amazing!
Omg the title alone has me like WTFFF?! Tuning in now!
Another great video! It's amazing all of the hard work you put into every video and podcast you do. Thank you for helping my days go by easier!❤❤
I watch a lot of true crime, you are hands down the best!!
Hey YOU!-Yea, YOU!! You matter! YOU are loved!! Have a BETTER DAY and even better than that tomorrow!❤
I really needed this. Thank you.
I appreciate your work so much. True crime videos tend do me very long and I have to watch them over a few days… I love your shorter videos
I’m still just half way through the video.. in her interview.. she is so flat, like her emotions, or lack of rather.. very chilling..
There are sooo many sick people in this world, it's truly frightening. No regard for a life.😪
But there are actually more very good humans than bad. 🎉😊
Complete insanity! She is not at all innocent to the degree she did. Unreal. Thanks for bringing this case
😂 of course her cabinet is stocked up with beam tea.. the sponsor sends them for free 😮😂😂😂

The detective interviewing her was good. He tried to relate to her and make her feel comfortable but get he kept getting her back on track, and asking questions like I was thinking.
Omg this case was really gross 🤢
Annie you’re the best. Ty for all the hard work you do.
She sure is strange, how she did all this and then cooked him. I think she was probably strange all her life. Thanks Annie you sure tell us some strange cases. 😢😮😢
Wow Lancaster Pa is my hometown as well. That's crazy, such a small world.

I love Annie because she is so real and relatable!
