How did you configure the SIM card? Which one did you buy? Did you buy it online or did you activate it at a mobile store? I bought a SIM card at AT&T and they activated it but it never connected to my device.
I installed an att sim card. They activated it but does not work. Cellular says off. They say the sim card works but not on my ottocast.
What did you do? Where did you get the sim card

Is this compatible with 2024 Acura Integra infotainment? I have Carsifi and it doesn't work with my Acura, but works with my wife's Toyota RAV4. So, I was thinking if I am going to have or not a similar issue with the new OttoAiBox P3.

What if someone calls you? Does it use Android phone via bluetooth of the car? Or does it use OttoAiBox? I am not going to insert the SIM card of my phone to OttoAiBox.
If your phone is connected to OttoAiBox via BT, the calls will go through to OttoAiBox.

What is your car make and model? Did you try connecting CarPlay with USB cable (not wireless) Mine has both wired and wireless and it worked.
@@jansen_vlog Hi! Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness 2024… It has wired CarPlay on the first connect and from then on it’s wireless. I will try to plug with my phone in airplane mode, guess if it works this way then it’s because it kicks down to wired when wireless can’t connect…

Hello. If your car has built-in wired Apple CarPlay, then it should work. Not sure about your second question if it will work with your rotary control knob but you can just buy a wireless controller that is also available on the Ottocast website. i watched your video, great. i bought the unit and added an AT&T sim card. i cannot get the sim card to activate even as it shows 4G and 4 bars. Thoughts?
Hello. What version did you get? There are 3 variants (region), for North America, Europe/Asia and Japan.
When you put your SIM it should work right away if it has data on it. You can also double check the APN settings for AT&T under Settings.
I dont understand this ottocast box does both apple carplay and andorid auto? Yet on homepage it says needs factory wired CARPLAY ? So does it support android phone and android auto or not?
Hello. It supports both wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. In order this to work in your car, you must have factory wired CarPlay. This AI box will convert your factory wired CarPlay in to wireless and with full Android functionality.
If I have Android Auto and Spotify running, I turn off the car and then restart it, does the last function work or do I have to select it again?
Hello. When you restart your car, it will go back to the homescreen. Unless you set the Android Auto Auto to "auto connect" in the MultiPlay settings.

For Google Maps, yes. But you need to download the maps first before you go offline.

Just got mine today. I can not get it to work. I have a 2022 toyota 4runner. It recognizes the ottocast but it won't play anything. The ottocast UI does not even show up. I am currently using another ottocast model, the square one, with no problem.
Hello. Do you have factory wired CarPlay? When you connect the Ottocast P3, what does it show on your car screen?
If you're using USB type C, try connecting the USB cable the other way around.

Mine has both wired and wireless and it worked. Not sure if it will work with wireless only. Try to connect your CarPlay via USB cable and see if it will work, if it does, then this device is compatible to your car.
