Does the Ottocast box support usb devices (maybe through usb c splitter)? As my car does not have touch screen I could implement an usb touch monitor that overlays the car monitor. At last, is there a way to connect an external camera that I could be using it as a parking camera? Thanks

@@sgthoskins I received mine today, its a piece of junk, does not start all, the carlink 8G+128G was working fine, but I wanted to try this product so I returned that and Purchased this garbage P3 Box and this does not work at all, I got a lemon, I will try to contact the support and see if they can figure it out, but my screen is stuck on the Ottocast welcome boot up logo after that it shuts off
Is it possible to cast YT videos from an iPhone to this box, using the P3 like a chromecast dongle ?

Para IPTV, la instalación de la aplicación es gratuita, pero es necesario obtener un paquete. Puede encontrar muchos paquetes diferentes en línea. I've just seen the video... very good review but i was hoping to find information about compatibility... i have a bmw 440i from 2016, it has carplay from factory but only for Apple devices and is not touch screen... so i don't know if this item will work for me... is there any chance you'd know for sure?

I noticed the p3 don’t have screen mirroring compared to the p2 you reviewed before. Any idea why?
For screen mirroring, you can download casting apps from the playstore like Carbitlink, AirScreen etc

I did not notice any audio lag. This will work in cars with carplay enabled system

The IPTV is a paid service. You can download the app for free from IPTV Smarters Pro website but then you need to buy a Live TV package to run on the app

Yes, they play in full screen, except if you have a panel on the sides from your original car system. Like in my car on the left, I have a fixed panel with Time, date, AC controls that cannot be removed

Does it work with slightly older vehicles? I have a 2018 Q7 where the screen is not a touch screen? I have a Samsung S23, starting from October or November 2023, Android Auto quit working on my vehicle, but Car Play still works. I changed to a new cable, still not working. While troubleshooting for the Android Auto issue, I bumped into Ottocast. I would like to be sure before I invest in this device with the hope that Ottocast is a solution to the Android Auto nonfunction problem. Thanks!

I dont see any reason why... the Ottocast interface has all the apps and functions that you may need

Thats strange, I did test video files on SD card and it worked fine. Try installing a different file explorer app, or maybe the video file type is not recognised. Did you insert the sd card the right way?

All other models have a significant sound delay. What’s the sound delay on this unit ?
I checked, there was no delay... totally in sync

So when you connect with Android Auto, you can not use the Netflix or IPTV? (as this is not in the landing page for Android Auto)
Thats right. AA does not support video apps. You can play these thru the native Android system on this P3 model

In a way, this adapter converts the car screen to a tablet, so you get apps on your car screen. You can either insert a SIM card in this adapter or connect this adapter to your mobile hotspot if you want to use apps like UA-cam, Netflix, Live TV, Spotify, etc on the screen

You are right. Touchscreen is ideal for this, but you can use an air bluetooth gyro remote control in non-touchscreen cars. You should look into it: amzn.to/3R3pugg

This Ottocast P3 is a far better model
To me this device lacks a lot of features compared to Carlinkit Tbox Ambient or MMB max 5.0. No sim card calling/messages. Wifi/hotspot can't be turned at the same time, No developer option so unable to change smallest dpi for landscape apps and a few other bit. Difficult to justify the high price compared to Tbox and other 6225 variants as they can do a lot and way cheaper than this. I also found no stability issues with Carlinkit devices so the cost/benefit ratio is hard to justify. Nevertheless thanks for the good review! @Schaz.
Not sayings this isn’t a great device but compared to Carlinkit Tbox ambient, and higher costs, it’s not as great.
New carlinkit june update can now let you select any ratio for split more than P3, you drag the portion to anywhere on screen and you can have your own customise ratio .
Also on Tbox ambient, under factory setting with a code 121212 u can choose your applications for split and it creates a shortcut on home screen so with one click you can have the apps running.

Is it an issue with your internet connection or with UA-cam app. If its the app, then uninstall and reinstall the app. It should fix the problem

Why do you need a SiM card? What is the main function of the SiM card?
SIM card is not a must, you need it to access internet. You can also access internet if you connect it with your mobile's hotspot

I just got mine today. It does not show me the ottocast UI. Infact, it doesnt show me anything. I am currently using another ottocast box, the a2airpro, and it works fine if i reconnect it. I have 2022 toyota 4runner.
Try using dual power, maybe the P3 devce is not getting enough power from the USB, thats why they give power extender cable

Quick answer: No. This device does not have 5G connectivity, only 4G, so the internet speed would not be better than your Samsung 5G mobile.

having issues with my p3 and they have been trying to get me to update firmware with microsd... ... attempted so many times... no luck... can't get direct answers to my questions or a video of an update working correctly... now i'm being asked to ship it back undeclared and undervalued/underinsured to receive a upgraded model in return.. grrr
I had to do a full return for another device shipping to CN. Honestly it's a hassle if you ask me. They will reimburse me for the shipping cost but just the whole process and having to do exactly what you did made me feel uncomfortable. These companies should really have a US agent address so that returns or issues could be a better experience.
That being said honestly I would rather just pay more and get it on Amazon so that if there are any issues it could be returned easier.

I bought two of this device and have an audio lag on several video applications. I use Hotspot on my phone to connect. I don't know how to fix.

@@nicknyce718 they had an update that improved the lag. Still has a minor lag but now it's about 90% there. Definetly better.
So I got mine and everything is working but the audio it’s putting out is super low. I have it blasting and it sounds like I have it set to low volume . Can’t seem to figure it out. Any ideas?
So the audio works fine.
If anyone encounters the same issue make sure your cars regular Bluetooth audio is putting out audio as opposed to Ottocast and everything else with the display should work just fine while also in sync.
So actually the complete fix was just to ask Google to play at max volume, I couldn’t find audio settings initially but that fixed everything without any in betweens

You can install apps on the native Android system on this Otoo P3 device, but on the CarPlay and Android Auto platforms, you will have to install the app on your mobile to have it appear on CP or AA

Try to connect the additional cable to another power source, sometimes one usb connection does not give enough power to the device, thats why they have given an extra cable in the box

I am sure they will soon launch an upgraded Android 13 model. But hoenstly, there isnt much difference between 12 and 13 in terms of performance

I bought this item as it's described as compatible with any car that has Wired CarPlay. My car has wired CarPlay and this unit simply does not work. I've discussed with Ottocast at length and they are refusing to refund the item and they want to charge me a restocking fee and shipping charges to return the item, which I bought in entirely good faith in compliance with their advertised description.
All these CarPlay adapters work in most cars that support wired CarPlay except a few car brands. Its mentioned in the description of the video. It is also mentioned on the Ottocast website. Did you try it with dual power supply? In some cars, the power from one usb plug is not enough so you need to use the power extender cable that comes in the box. I don’t work for this brand , but you can drop me a WhatsApp message and I will try to help you
