I love how you are slowly building your own theory. I have been classically trained and am doing a bachelor in sound production yet I never see your theory taught anywhere else, but it puts things into such an easy to use way for the modern electronic producer! Great for a beginner and even some cool tips for more advanced producers to pick up on :)
A good point. Actually this is more than an arp tutorial. Its strength lies in the way it goes about constructing a melody. An aspect which many electronic producers seem to find difficult. Of course the quality of the melody still rests a lot on the ear of the person programming it and the choices they make. Nevertheless this is a good way to start.
Man you have one of the most beautifull contents about eletronic music production. Ppl are paying a lot to learn what you teach for free!!! Thank for that!
One of the best arp tutorials I’ve seen. I usually make them using a pattern plugin over chords, but I fee they’re too robotic. These arps are so musical, thanks again.
every video you make absolutely blows my mind! as a newbie to music production, you can't imagine how amazing your videos are! and we are able to take in this information for free. thank you for everything you do, and for existing in this world! may you soar to ever greater heights in your craft and your life!
I thought I knew everything about arpeggios, but I've never had it explained so simply before. These techniques are practically everything anyone needs to know about making the best arp for their song.
You seem to have a knack of making videos just at the right time for things I am struggling with! This will give me a lot more structure to writing arps - thanks for the great content.
For me the real art and challenge is holding back on the melody just enough so that it's hypnotic and interesting but not repetitive. It's easy to come up with lots of really short 16-step melodies that sound really good. But if they have too much character they quickly become very repetitive with a loopy quality.
Thank you Undrnight! Appreciate the nice words and support! I have some FX tricks, IIRC name was 3 pads of melodic techno or 3 fx of melodic techno. Sth like that
Hi, I am very very happy to learn how my favourite songs were produced just like sitting next to you... Explanations are exciting... Thank you so much...
11and a half minutes of pure joy. It's a madness how much arp's can express, and in such a beautiful way.. Like a narration, but told in a language everyone can understand. Now hearing the 'theory break sauce' from you deepens my knowledge strongly. Thank you so much! 🤍✨ This is gold, really🥰
Dude I love this. A topic which you opened up and made me think about so much more than arps in the end. When will the next episode of 4 producers hit the air waves????? 🙏🏽🤫 peaCe
i tried to find a video like this maybe a year ago, and couldn't really find anything that helpful. This video is so incredibly well done! thank you so much for this 💫
Hey man love your videos they have helped me heeps. I was just wondering why your piano roll is highlighted pink it looks like your have your key signature highlighted some how I would love to know how you did this. Thanks keep up the good work :)
I figured out a great trick for ableton arp, you can automate it, so write you notes out, select automate on the arp STYLE , loop it and draw in some automation (play around with it). it gives a much less robotic effect than the usual style, far more human as the arp goes up and dpwn and random etc
@@shen6232 haha I like all the genres at once. DnB, techno, house, synthwave, thrash metal, death metal.. I have a very long list. I am gonna open a video one day with aguitar and a drum solo :P
