If you like 3 levels of music tutorials, I have more of them 💖🎁 3 levels of TECHNO with Adam Beyer: ua-cam.com/video/fWl-oU5VTLc/v-deo.html 3 levels of TECH-HOUSE with Fisher: ua-cam.com/video/vsQTyhmLZNI/v-deo.html 3 levels of TECHNO with Boris Brejcha: ua-cam.com/video/MBpXWS-Hkbs/v-deo.html
Love these ‘3 levels’ videos. This kind of techno is such a cutting edge sound. So many new techniques to explore that are only possible with the crazy effect chains of ableton. You have some great ideas
PK's most powerful skill is how he plays with, twists, rewinds and slightly changes his sampled loops without ending up with something boring even though it is usually very repetitive throughout the whole song. Best heard in his song "No Goodbye". That song is also a beautiful example of how to play with the kick, for example the reintroduction of the kick at 00:51 (the 2:47 minute version)
It's crazy that these videos are for free. It's hard to break down Paul Kalkbrenner's music since the tracks are so detailed and unique. Thank you so much!
Alice harikasin, videolarini seve seve izliyoruz, bu isi profesyonel yapmak isteyenler eminim kurslarindan bir cok bilgi edinebilirler, arada freebi verip, bizim gibi belescileri de mutlu etsen ❤
I had no idea how many versions of spelling Kalkbrenner youtube CC could come up with. LMAO and getting good vibes. Now for the serious side: Dude, you´re opening doors of insight I didn´t even think were possible. First contact today, but I feel there are boatloads of wisdom to come. Thanks for doing this, I´ll dive deeper in the next days. I bow my hat!
When you talk about beginners and "they do this and they do that..." you talking to me for sure. XD But I try and learn from you and other good producers how to do...that's for sure, too!
Amazing again! I always was fascinated how after the intro he makes the beat "change" so your brain get's tricked and for a moment you stand there like a fool on the dancefloor :)
This style of video is very interesting, even if I don't like what it might say about which one of the producers I am. The analysis of the tendencies of producers at different levels helps me think about habits I had and have and hope to have. 🙏 "Having a bit of knowledge makes the track too polished" ... so guilty. 😑 "Off beat hook" is GOLD. 🥇
What I need to start doing again... is to reuse, resample elements I already have in the project. When I started in the 90s it was a common technique because simply I didn't have too many sounds. This not only can boost the creativity but also make a track more coherent
Hej, Yalcin - Thanks so much for your channel. I have watched many of your videos since discovering it recently. It would be great to see you do videos that talk about artists such as: Shed, Recondite and Aril Brikha. I'm learning some great tricks and tips from you. These master-level videos also remind us that moving beyond 'pro' level is to break some rules, inject some character and creativity into our productions. To use our acquired knowledge but to avoid perfectionism, which can make our music uninteresting, too technical and less human. I look forward to seeing what you present in the future. Stort tack från Australien!
Hi sir Yalcin ! I discovered your channel with "1 sample 4 producers", with Janus Rasmussen. Since, i can't tell how many things i learned. Everything sounds to me much harder to achieve a good result as a beginner but every videos you add, makes me more inspirated and humble... Really thank you.
Amazing work!!! (here a beginner trying to learn more from pros) I really like the way you explain the things, now here's a new fan of your work! Congrats! 👏🎼🔥
Where were you hiding your camera in my room through all these years? The beginning mistakes were so spot on, I thought I was listening to some of my first productions :D :D
Nice one... I do really like buhold. That beat is insane. Any idea how he did that? How did you resample the three melodies into one. Did you freeze all three of them? Or did you use the comping feature?
I appreciate this a lot, but would love to see a video on more distinct and complex paul kalkbrenner tracks like, from parts of life, particularly part 5 and part 12. That's the Paul Kalkbrenner sound I would really would love to get some insight on how to make similar works. Thank you very much
Hey!! I have to say thank you!! Ive learned so much from your Videos the last few days, in so happy i found your Channel! I would love to see a „Jonas Apollo“ Tutorial/Track Remake! He has auch a unique Style.. :) Love from Austria ❤️
Hey Alice, you're really impressive!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. i have not been using ableton for a long time because I find that it degrades the sound compared to Maschine. For example, when importing the same VST in live or in Maschine. In Maschine the sound is more punchy, more precise, but the sofware is far less powerful than Live. In Live to compensate, you have to work much more in mastering... What do you think about that and how to handle it? Thanks :=)
does anybody know how to make the pluck sounds from his track called "invisible"? they are awesome, but i dont really get them... just like 50-60% :( i would really appreciate some help or tips :)
Hi Yalcin ! Dude, thank you so much for all that you do. Paul K. is my favorite artist so far, that's how I discovered minimal techno music. We need more awesome video about him, not to copy what he does, but to understand how ! Believe it or not, you are as inspiring than Paul K for me. I started to make music since I discovered your channel. Please tell me how can I get in touch with you ? I have created a complete preset that should interest you, but I have to fix a lil issue for sampling (I will explain..) Can you help me plz ? 😊
I feel like the glide on the bass was a bit too much on the last track, or attack was a bit slower. My ears wanted sharper note jumps instead of that glide ish bass. Good video overall though thank you very much
Calling Paul Kalkbrenner techno is like calling Imagine Dragons metal. This is essentially pop music with a faster “techno-oriented” drumwork. I wouldnt even really call it techno-oriented because it might just as well be pop-house. Its well made and smooth, but the dynamics are nonexistent, its very quiet despite all the transients squashed to hell and its not too interesting. I think he is a good example of a DJ/producer who got one good song and capitalized on that. I have been to one of his sets unwillingly because of friends and it was a total borefest mostly, and the best songs he played were all from other people. But since he is famous he is a “master” of techno apparently…People forget techno is supposed to be anti-establishment anti-capitalist music, but once white people stole it just like hip hop suddenly all I hear is this ball-less flavorless pop mush and now its what they call “techno”.

There is a sweet spot. Also, i am always working on my own signature sound. If u dont care, thats ok too, while u are going through millions of sample packs. Im busy creating my own.

I was just listening to Paul's new track Si Soy Fuego and then I get a notification for this ❤❤👌
I decided to make the video while I was watching his new live set from Exit festival. ☺
