She was the most brilliant actress ever. She was amazing.
Bette Davis was an extremely good actress who had a great screen presence. Every movie and show was made that much better because of her no matter the role. A legend.
I agree with the others, Bette Davis was an incredible actress. No one was like her.
One of my all time favorite actresses, she had this certain something about her.
Yes she did
Yes GUTS! And talent of course.loved her since I was a child and that was a long time ago😳
It’s the eyes. Even a song was written about them…😊
She certainly did
She had a bitchy attitude!
She had that “ Walk “ already which came to perfection in Baby Jane !
I was just commenting about "...Baby Jane"! Wasn't she unforgettable?! Wow, not a lot of actresses could have pulled that off! You'd have thought there was a hidden camera watching these lives play out in real time!
The director, Robert Aldrich went on to direct her in "Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte" (which originally costarred Joan Crawford as well but who was replaced by Olivia de Havilland).
I can watch and listen to her for hours. What a fascinating actress she was
Have you seen her in Dead Ringer? If not, you must see it.
maine living OH YES!! That is an addictive movie!!
Bette was also a completely captivating talk show guest, and so stylish!
Same here!
What a great movie !!
Watched it recently.
Wow! Betty Davis is an extraordinary actress! This short film was outstanding! The main character was very self absorbed. She had no human relationships other than employees providing services for her. It was sad to see her treating her dog as if she were a human! What happened to the employee was horrific.
Reminds me of some folks I see with their dogs. and animals today. Treat these animals like they are human, and some are treated better than some humans?
@@patriniacopeland6891
I couldn't agree more. To them, animals are sacred. People? Not so much.
@@drumdad54sdl47damn right
@@drumdad54sdl47but they will need people to take care of them when they get old, or sick it's really weird , calling themselves animal dads and animal fathers and animal siblings, too weird for me, and when they go to far with their stupidity, they take a chimpanzee as their family member and end up with a ripped face or body part.
Sounds like they believed what they were taught. Evolution.
James Congdon who played Eddie is age 95. Still alive. Born in 1929.
Won't be long before he ta takes that eternal walk down ( Hollywood Boulevard ) walk of fame-???🤔
She’s definitely my favourite actress, I’m glad someone else loves her too !
Can't see her without thinking, "Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy night."
“Come on Vanessa let’s not tempt fate” ..wailing scream 🤣😅🤣😅
The way she says, "I thought you were an applicant, to walk Vanessa." Brilliant. How she enunciated her words. Perfection. 4:18

Native New Englanders speak the best American English. (I am biased, but it is true).
@@nassauguy48 ♥♥♥👍
She sure is in control
Strong woman . The one and ony Betty.... Davis.!!!!
Judy... Hello 👋 its BETTE February 7,2021
Hitchcock directing Bette. Couldn't be better. Classic Hollywood the real deal.
Her friend and ex-co-star, Paul Henried directed this episode. Sorry to be pedantic!
She's got Bette Davis Eyes! LOL! Been a fan forever!
That excellent British North American accent of hers is always a pleasure to hear.
It's called a Mid-Atlantic accent. Lots of actors then had it, including Katherine Hepburn. Also FDR and JFK. Marianne Williamson has a similar accent.
@ 3:31 Bette Davis hit that cigarette like it was a joint.
😂😂😂
Great episode, great actress, my personal favorite. Very distinctive voice and mannerisms, they will never be another actress like her.
Bette Davis. The Greatest character actress that ever was. If she is in it, the movie, a tv show or anything then it is a good one!
Bette Davis, what a treat ! She was a great actor !
Actress
@@janisewellington3971 An "actor" is any person who performs/acts.
She should have got her 3rd Oscar :( She is wonderful
Creo que merecia por lo menos 5 Oscar.Fue la mejor actriz de EEUU.
As usual she domanates every scene. My favorite forever.
Bette Davis - the greatest actress of Hollywood! I just love her work!
She can definitely play an old biddy well. He voice is unmistakable, but I liked her best in Sweet Baby Jane w Joan Crawford 😳😣😰😈
Yes. Me too!
Ask my mom since a kid, Ms Bette Davis is the Queen of Hollywood!!!🙏👏🤗
Calm down.
I like Joan better.
I would recognize Bette Davis just by her beautiful laugh. RIP Bette Davis🌹❤🏆🎬🌺
BETTE, AS ALWAYS, IS FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bette Davis was my favourite actress. I had a box set of her movies - lent it to a neighbour and when I asked for its return was told: "I haven't got it - I don't know anything about it". (Don't speak to her any more).
Wow! I wouldn't speak to her either.
Her greatest role was Baby Jane Hudson in Whatever Happened To Baby Jane which I first saw on t.v. in 1964 the first time it was on tv when I was 16 and I have seen at least 150 times since.
It will be on tomorrow 3/2/21 on ME TV at 5 pm. eastern
I remember that movie. I saw it at the theater when it came out. Wasn't she with Joan Crawford in that?
@@geezermann7865: How could you ask such a question? Of course she was. They hated each other! How lucky you were to see it when it first came out! Amazing you haven't seen it since.
Dead Ringer and Hush Hush sweet Charlotte Great actress.
@@Joygirl827: Dead Ringer was a great movie but Hush Hush... was not. Great acting is not enough. You need a great story and script!
@@roberttelarket4934 I just loved the way she overheard them talking about her and then threw the large pot down on them the great Betty Davis.😄
I found myself tearing up. Who doesn’t miss the late, great Bette Davis? She was so smart, saucy, sure of herself; a great role model for women. “I’d kiss ya but I just washed my hair!” (One of her funniest lines.) They interviewed a host of famous actresses, and several said she was their favorite actress, the one they emulated. I always thought she was uniquely gorgeous, too. They don’t call them “Bette Davis eyes” for nothing. Remember the song?
Yeah I’ll just wander around the alley where I was mugged
So people used to go to jail for stealing, back in the olden days? Wow.
Sure, if what they steal is worth over a certain amount of money. Just like today.
Well it was theft with attempted murder
I saw episode with Bette Davis two months ago. One of my favorite shows. The Door Man acted well too.
Love Bette
the irreplaceable Ms. Bette Davis 😀
RIP Bette, thank you for such wonderful performances!
you are sorely missed....
Wow! Bette Davis is amazing in every movie.
She is more worried about the ring than the guy
The guy she thought robbed her? Sure. Then when it came to be it wasn't him that robbed her, she (seemingly) went to the owner or whoever to get him his job back. Then she apologized, explained what happened and tried to help him by given him what at the time was a bit of a fortune. She did make a mistake and she owned up to that.
@@KimmyQueen that was no mistake, she purposefully framed him because he left her after she refused to lend him money for his sick girlfriend, miss fox was a horrible manipulative woman who got what she deserved in the end
@@AbrasiousProductions Agree to disagree. Yes she may have been jealous and that is what he thought happened, but it was him that manipulated her to get money from her...
Hitch presented very well in this episode
I love ❤️ Betty Davis she is a great actress
She got BETTY DAVIS eyes🎭🎭⭐💫💙💙
Not to mention Bette Davis voice!
That’s who it is Bette Davis
@@natureking7122 I know but don't u remember the song she's got Betty Davis Eyes I forget who sung that song maby Stevie Nick's??💙💙💙
@@juliemcalister2557 Kim Carnes .. she had a deep singing voice.
Julie ... Her name is spelled BETTE 🙂 June 7,2021
I love this lady 💖
Me too
Y’know, I thought the ending would be that Eddie would actually rob Miss Fox and she would identify him, but nobody would believe her because of last time, so he got his revenge. That would’ve been the perfect ending, I believe!
Certainly better than the actual ending.
Yeah, that would've sure given it a twist, really worthy of Hitchcock actually!!😉
That voice of Betty Davis! None like it!
Oh dear, I wasn't expecting this. I had not seen this before.
I never knew or saw Bette Davis in an Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode.
She did an amazing number of little half hour TV shows in the fifties, some of them really excellent and easy to find on UA-cam.
@@poetcomic1: Thanks for letting me know. I’ll look for them! The only one I’ve seen her in was I think in the late 1950s or early 1960s on Perry Mason.
My favorite actress 💗❤️
You lied on someone put him in jail, took his freedom then turn around gave him $500. Smh.
Did she lie? I thought she had a false memory of seeing him take the ring.
$500 in 1959 is $5,028.45 in todays money.
Such an absolutely delightful, feminine woman with such beguiling charms
You should have seen her drunk.
Betty Davis was an excellent excellent excellent actress
I never seen this movie before, loved it.
not a movie.
@@zoltore23 never seen this episode.
In the end he proved he was no good!
There are people that Still exist like her.

My favorite actress on Hitchcock?! What a dream 😍
Absolutely love this show
Such a satisfying ending
God! I jumped. I wasn"t prepaired for that. Great story
Thanks 👏
I adore Bette Davis. This was one of my favorite episodes with many good learning lessons in it!
Great episode!! Goes to show never jump to conclusions
great actress
Love anything anything with Miss Davis! No matter the part she gives it 110% although, this was icky!
Betty Davis and Gloria Swanson had THOSE EYES 👀 GREAT ACTRESSES!

🐩 Vanessa stole the show! 🐩 She’s so cute and sweet.
Didn't expect that 😱😬
Me either actually I thought he would attack her in the dark alley
Love Bette in almost everything she made but she sure is reading from a script in this!
*I had such a jump scare...I was cleaning my litterbox and had the scoop in my hand*
*and everything went flying!*
I love, love, love (!) this episode. I watch it often. Ms. DAVIS (!); her performances are so great, she mesmerizes. ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ .....
My favorite Betty Davis movie is Now Voyager! If anyone hasnt seen it, check it out!
I agree with you. Love that movie.
Vanessa didn’t even bark. I guess that poodle is no watch dog. 😅
Or she knew that the dog walker, did it!🙄
Oh she watched alright. 👀
The dog remembered him, of course she didn't bark at her friend; just at the stray cat.
Yeah but he better have taken Vanessa w/him and dropped her somewhere safe! Who knows how long she'd have been all alone w/a dead body and no one to feed her! Little Vanessa was a victim!💓🐕💓
She was rally the most great actress in the world!!!!
Revenge is a dish best served cold!
She was also drop dead gorgeous!
Excellent movie!!!💛💙❤
Classy, beautiful, Bette Davis. Exlempary actress.
You may have just won a million dollars Eddie McMahon
This was such a good movie... Loved it!!
RIP Ms. Davis. Another great is joining you in heaven. Dame Maggie Smith passed just yesterday.
Loved those Betty Davis movies 🎥! Combined with Hitchcock suspense, it keeps the viewer on the edge of the seat. Having wealth doesn’t mean it’s ok to be stupid and assuming. She should’ve hired a detective for $500+ to investigate first. And been prepared for her eternity as she was for doggy care. Romans 10:9-10
Oh the times we live in, when I can be looking up correspondence and find 11 minutes of Bette Davis~
Classic perfection ❤
Can you imagine what she said about the dog off set? 😂
Yes! Thank you🤗
I totally expected that ending lol
She said "Let's not tempt fate!" 😜 😲 😱

Thank you Hitchcock Presents.✔
Very good... Thankyou.. Ashame it ended that way....Poor Eddie... 🙄
Loved her Bette Davis
I never know if it’s the end or not! 🤨🤦♀️
Something tells me Ms. David based her character in this episode on Joan Crawford!
Good episode! Thank you. 👍🏼
Fabulous!!!
How come you don't play the show from the beginning
I don't understand why she was trying to make him be guilty. I feel she know he didn't do it. That is what I didn't like about it.
With all that happened before, it made sense to her that it was him. He did not even ask her if she was ok. He showed no concern for her. His attitude was bad from beginning to end. The only mistake she did was say she saw him. She did not. She tried to make amends, she tried to help him and she actually apologized and explained what happened.
I think she liked him. In Part I, her demeanour changed once he mentioned that he had a fiancée.
Can't believe I jumped:)🙄🤔😁
Thanks for uploading.i only saw the first half of it.
Best actress ever.. Better Davis...
Wow! I didn't see this sending coming! Betty, with those eyes and that voice! Who gets hired back at the scene of the crime?
She said, in the elevator, she spoke to management, about hiring him back!
This had me on edge
