I didn’t know Walt Disney was an actor too!
@@BananaHammock2001 i know it was a joke. 😄 He does remind me of Disney, though. You're right. 😊
Mother introduced me to these in the 1960's. Still love watching them.
I love these short, complex, suspenseful, episodes. Usually much wry humor. "I never liked these itty bitty things myself", said the elderly British gentlemen, referring to the caviar hors d'oeuvres.
She should have taken the 10,000 dollars!
She tried to hire his cook out from his own kitchen!? Wow. He killed the wrong woman.
Very strange story. He should have just gone to a good lawyer. He had money and a beautiful new girlfriend
@@alfreddreamerphotocomics4880 Yeah that usually interferes with things. Most of the time anyway.
Yea...it's always a little awkward when someone strangles another, only to have an acquaintance suddenly pop out of the bathroom, realize it, and run off screaming hysterically.
Why does he look so surprised she is dead? He strangled her after all!
Maybe he came to his senses, and realized what he’s done. He probably wished he could take it back, but it was too late. Let this be a lesson to all the potential murderers out there.
Jo Van Fleet! - An exceptional character player
Yeah she sure is. She played in another episode of Hitchcock Presents title "Return to Finder". I hope I got title correct. She also played the stepmother in Cinderella by Roger's and Hamerstein in 1965.
"i'll never give ya no divorce! Neva! Neva!"🤣😆
Cool apartment.
I like the front door and spiral staircase
Alfred Hitchcock always had the best houses. It created the ideal setting for his stories.
I like the black gaffers tape on the floor 5:00 where Joan Hackett hits her mark 😅
Jo Van Fleet is one of America's greatest actresses. Overlooked these days. If she is in something, it's a must see for me.
@@eviebev4487 Molly the cook. Next time TCM plays East of Eden with James Dean you will see her as his Mother Kate. She was 5 stars in that.
Oh my gosh !!!!!
That small bit was so good I wish the whole thing was played.
Give us the whole episode, please.
Seems to me she'd have been better off taking the money. :)
Yeah she should have took the money but instead she got death.....
I don't know what the problem was for the wife her lawyer could've strung the husband up to dry she would've have been sitting pretty with all his dollars. Seems like everything is sorta backwards the girlfriend looks to be a daughter in the company of all those elders, and he puts her on the side line as if he really got it going on. With his attitude both got what they deserved.
@@PeacePlease. hey , that's my line🤣🤣😄I'm always could've, would've, should've. It does fit this episode perfectly 😄👌👌
Looks like the set of “Bewitched” 🤔
Yeah, Kerwin’s wife reminds me of Elizabeth Montgomery’s mother.
Those hors d'oeuvres must have been Really Good!
@@pamelajordan2890 a friend at school studying home economics wrote in an exam horse douvers... lol 😁cheers.
This didn’t make any sense. Why did he keep saying she wasn’t his wife? Don’t think I’ll watch any more of these partial shows. It’s too irritating seeing only part of the story.
She just showed up recently after he left her years before. She would be seen as an uneducated, "low class" woman. He would be embarrassed by her. Seems he is involved with that younger woman from the first party scene too etc. etc..
Mrhyperbolic Thanks for filling in some of the back story. I appreciate that you took the time.
Ruth Fitzwater I’m trying to find the full length episodes but no joy yet
RedLightSpellsDanger with copyright laws as they are I suppose these truncated versions will be the best to be had for free.
She called him Merwyn (it's Kerwyn)/@2:33
Even way back then old men married women young enough to be their daughters.
Young enough to be the guy's granddaughter !! What parent would marry their young daughter off to such an old coot ?
@@leanie9660 Very wise parents depending on the monies.
No such thing as an old coot with cash. Money can make a man, young, handsome and smart.
Poor lady didn't even get the respect of being called his wife. Victim of his abuse until the usual murder. Moral of the story, get away from abuse while you still have your life.
Nope, the moral of the story is :don't just stand there with your thumb up your keister, put the nosy lady to sleep as well....but quick!
Were we even watching the same clip?
In "Merwin's" defence, that had to be about the most irritating voice on earth!
But why not try a set of ear-plugs & a healthy appetite first, and then one fair warning of "money 2 shush or speak n coke"....!? ;0}
This is a very different way to end The Parent Trap
He does have a great voice!
Wish peacock still had this free
Love the writer's voice.
Also as the grouchy retired man who reported little Ricky's dog to Fred Mertz
True, he did! Almost similar to Vincent Price, or Boris K. Infact each of the characters here had great voices for the characters they each portrayed. Also the audio was recorded well. Very well created scenes. Typical of Alfred Hitchcock’s work.
I recognize all of these actors, but the only name I can remember is Joan Hackett.
Even though this movie was cut down to 10:51. It was really awesome
I always enjoyed those low-budget TV plays in the 50's when I was a kid. But my goodness, they look pretty tame today.
Classic Hitchcock. That’s what they had in. The 50 & 60s. Never gets old..
@@janjISMYname Ikr. We must have a billionaire in the comments. Lol
LOL. In all three episodes, poor Jo Van Fleet ends up getting murdered by her husbands!
Some of y'all are really on a row this evening L😀L .The lady that's playing his wife is Jo Van Fleet she played in the movie Gunfight At The OK Corral with Burt Lancaster & Kirk Douglas as Doc Holiday's
girlfriend Kate & old Doc was dogging the character of Kate. In this clip she done a outstanding job just as well in the movie when she played with James Dean. East Of Eden I think she won a academy award for that role .She had a way of putting her own bright colors of the 🌈 rainbow into each character she played .👏 & 👏 January 29, 2020

Oh beautiful Joan Hackett🌷
I want ALL of the jewelry in this clip, especially the necklace of the "you just can't get good help" woman. 😁
I'd say grandfather more like it

They ate finger food in the early fifties, and we pretend to have invented it fifty years later. No memory.
Everyone, namely his guests, is calling him Kerwin but his wife, who calls him Merwin. Cast lists him as kerwin drake! Kerwin Merwin...odd silly names! Imo
His wife sounds like she's 3 years old when she talks.
John Emery surely resembled John of Barrymore! At the end of his life, he was taken care of by girlfriend Joan Bennett./
great mysterious show
The My Pillow Guy stars in this one 😂😂
Good One Greg!
May We have a full episodes....please. so interest indeed 🤗
-Yes A full episode would be nice OR add about 8 more minutes to each episode. 9 to 11 minute episodes are just to short.
Wonderful Jo Van Fleet!
I love this
Good ☝😉
Love it
She shoulda taken the 10k! 😊
good help is so hard to find
This is real acting
So where's the first half of this episode ?
This was the end. I checked Dailymotion and it ended at the same place.
The best
The actress playing the daughter was stunning (name?) . … I bet Ol Hitchcock had his eyes on her, from what I have read about the ol bloke.
Γειά πολύ ωραία τα έργα σου αλλά δεν έχει με ελληνικούς υπότιτλους ? ευχαριστώ.
$10,000 in 1961 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $103,787.96 today!
She was in cool hand Luke too;
She played his mother;
In 1955 , Jo Van Fleet won suppt' Oscar for playing James Dean's Mother in
'East of Eden', her first movie role , she was only in her mid 30s, she played Older roles most of her career.
'Wild River' was my favorite Jo Van Fleet movie.
I still love watching the birds..never saw marnie
Rich bitty, talking about ' What an odd woman! when she's the one who looks odd, lol
well that was a quick case solved
Kind of a silly one.... but the comments made up for it.......!? Enjoyed joining in the convo about the 'silly flick with the silly chick' - who should've taken the money!?
a episode is kill wife, ending is husband is killed
They missed the first couple of minutes of this show.
So what happened after? I need the full episode.
It wasn't smart chopping up these episodes.
So don't watch, simple, if you can do better why haven't you? Instead of criticizing something good and FREE

Did both parties really have to agree to a divorce back then? I’ve seen many movies. Were one spouse or the other says oh, they’ll never give me a divorce. If one spouse doesn’t want to be married to the other other anymore. There’s not much they can do.
What is the point of these? , to ruin the story for the viewer? Why don’t you try running the episodes in their entirety.
Servants? The mentality of some rich people is disgusting 😒
Too bad she was trying to get him to go talk at a restaurant at 7:11 but he wouldn't listen.
Falta legendas em português!!!
Joan Hackett was just a baby! Just a bit creepy that the fiancé is at least 30 years older… icky .
She only wanted a cook , he goose cook
He was on an I love Lucy episode..
Why cant we have the full episodes like the hitchcock hour. Its to expensive to buy the box sets.
No offense to the person who uploaded this, but I hate it when I get all excited about a recommendation for a show I really enjoy only to find out that it's just a fraction of the episode.
The time shows how long. Stop complaining about something free or don't watch
You can watch full episodes on hulu or dailymotion. I like the clips because it lets me know which episode I want to watch later. Plus it's free 👍
I've watched this cllp so many times and every time i come up thinking that she really did seem to need killing. I'd love to find the entire episode.

His wife???? And fiancee??? Wow.
This one either lost something in the cut edit or was simply an odd/not-great tale with a major plot hole. (How would the witness know to find "the cook" in that particular apartment?)
I spent most of my time trying to figure out what those hors d'oevres were made of! :)
At 9:57, she explained that she'd gone into the kitchen and asked 'the cook' for her address. Question is, did she have any opportunity to do that before she and the other guests left? Maybe in the uncut version?
As great as Alfred Hitchcock’s work is, he does this a lot. I guess he may have been in a rush to meet the deadlines, etc. etc. Who knows? Usually he does so many of the other elements so well, that it more than makes up for his shortcomings in the script.
whatever
Why do they keep posting parts of an episode it’s so annoying
Possibly copyright. I like the short clips because I can decide if I want to watch the full one on hulu
Is it just the film of 10 minutes??
