After having my HDHU9813RG now for almost 4 months I see where you have to have a 1 or 2000 amp. The radio alone just doesn't have enough "push". It's easy for any sound system to be loud stilling still but it's another thing going 70 to 75 mph. It's a good radio but nobody should think they can buy the radio and be done.

Jay, do you guys install LED speaker lighting like the Harley Spectra Glo or other brands? Also, why wouldn’t you install sound skins on the pods since you’re in there anyway?

Did you have to trim the inside of the speaker pods?
No, our speakers drop right in because they use neodymium magnets and are designed for Harley use!

What would you say the distance test would be? I hear some guys half a mile away and I’m tryna be that guy lol

will the gauge feature on the si work with a thundermax ecm or is factory ecm required ? thanks Jay
Currently you still need a factory ecm
I bought a whole system installed it called asked for a pointer re installed it, thumb controls still don't work

Hey at least J/M gave you a nice amp rack.
It actually made install harder, it was well built but made it to where there was not much room for the radio data module or factory radio plugs, still turned out great in the end but I prefer the stock radio plate. Thank you for watching!

So on my 15 ultra I had to purchase the Harley whim I. Order to use the radio functions and blue tooth to my helmets.
Will I be able to do the same with the radio shown?
I ask because all my helmets have the Sena blue tooth system I use it when I travel
Or will I loose the function described ?

When you replace your radio using the hdhu14+ or HDHU14SI you do lose the ability to connect a headset to the radio, I’ll be releasing info on a new radio next week that you need to see!
