I went back and forth with multiple Harley dealerships and 3rd party audio retailers about flashing my 2022 Road Glide limited radio and nobody was "able" to or probably just not willing do it. The last retail shop I went specialized in full custom sound systems and told me that they have been installing multiple speaker high wattage systems into Harleys for years, never reflash them and have had no issues or warranty repairs for their work. I ended up installing a Rockford Fosgate PBR400x4D 400 watt amp and 4 RF T1650 Power 75w/150w full range coaxial speakers. fairing speakers fit with no modification, tour pack speakers required 1 inch spacers and I had to cut and splice the main harness. But after dialing in the gains I love the way it sounds (although my neighbors probably don't lol) and I have had no issues over the past year. Total cost $620
We only build systems one way, the best way, the right way. Anyone can connect an amp and make it play but I assure you our systems are much louder and clearer without any distortion by doing it the way we line out in this video. If you have electrical issues I have seen many times Harley dealers deny warranty claims when wiring has been cut or modified. If you ever in East Tennessee come by and I would love to let you hear one of our systems in person because you can not tell just how amazing they sound though youtube. Thank you for watching!

HI Jay, love love your videos. I think what you offer is a much do it yourself product than the other guy up here in New Jersey (hint, hint). Question for you. I have a 2023 RGS that I just purchased. I took off the 2 hertz lid speakers (also purchased a new 6x9 cut out kit, 2 8" subs, and the 2 diamond audio speakers for the front fairings. I have a 1200.4 evox . sound digital that will run the front diamond audio and rear hertz speakers. I then have a sound digital 1600.1 that will run the subs. I know you prefer the sound ditigal radio which I also have, but if I want to keep the stock radio, what line out converters do I need to purchase for those 2 amps? Im comtemplating between my GTS radio and the soundstreamd hdsi. Would love you input@ Thank you.
I never use line out converters, we use quality amplifiers that will accept a high level (speaker level) input. We do not use Sound Digital amplifiers and very few have correct high level inputs
I’m running all cicada. 6.5 6x9 BDA 2000.4. Nvs hki dsp harness. I started with a sd 1200.4 but as I said I purchased the cicada dba amp. 1st question. Should I be running the tweeters in the mid separately? Should I bi amp them? The way Carlos sent me my DSP from Nvs Audio he pre-tuned the DSP to use the cross overs that come with the speakers. What would your opinion on that be?
Bi amping allows for seperate adjustment of the tweeter, most commonly used when compression horn tweeters are used so you can bring them down to a reasonable level. You would need dedicated amp channels for the tweeters. Normally the included crossovers do a good job of blending the two speakers so that bi amping is not necessary, I do not regularly install cicada so these answers are relative to all brands of speakers. I suggest going with Carlos suggestions since he setup your dsp
Jay, really appreciate all of your videos. I sent you an email last night. I am really wondering about a 4 speaker set up in my 2011 SG with all 4 speakers in the front. 2 in the BW fairing and 2 in the lower fairings. I am hoping to get it figured out.

A few questions about this. If you have lids that have cutouts for 5x7 can the cut out kit be used to make them 6x9? Or is it better to stay with that size? Next some installers say you need to add a DSP. Is that the same as the setup you do? With the Sound Stream do the handlebar controls used for navigating the GT or GTS work to navigate the Sound Stream? Last do you sell speaker adapters for the fairing lowers for twin cooled bikes? Thank you and may God keep blessing you.
We offer adapters that go from 5x7 to 6x9 instead of adding the cut in kit. Dsp is not needed in this system and would only complicate the install while adding additional cost. Yes the Soundstream retains all thumb controls and we sell the adapters for your liquid cooled lowers. Give our team a call at 1-844-30AUDIO God bless!
To clarify a little, with the stock stereo, you can navigate the entire user interface with the thumb controls. On my setup (Soundstream HDHU14si), while I can navigate apple CarPlay with the thumb controls, I cannot navigate the Soundstream UI with them. For example, from the Soundstream home screen, I cannot use the thumb controls to select different modes, or while in the FM stereo, I can change stations and such, but I cannot access the buttons on the left like the EQ. It is entirely possible that it's something I messed up, but I don't see how with how easy Jay and his team make it to connect everything. Having said that, I wouldn't go back to stock. I love the stereo, the infinity speakers, and the amp. Getting the gear from Volunteer made it so easy, and they've been super helpful anytime I've called with a question.
Jay, on the hertz 4.900 what size power and ground are you running if I can ask. I am going to get one from you but dont need the harness you offer with it. I have the soundstream hdhu14+. I just was curious if your running 4ga or 8ga. I ask cause the fuse holder your using the efx one you cant get for 4ga. Just did this system on my cvo. Got rid of the factory boom 2 stuff. The install was super straight forward, super loud and clear but all mid bass is now gone. To me this hertz setup up is to bright with no lower end. I can’t say enough good about volunteer audio tech support and their plug and play setup. But to be honest I am disappointed in the final result sound wise. UPDATE. I spoke with Jay personally. We discussed a few options to fine tune settings to fit more my sound in music. I even decided to add lower sv 6.5 speakers to get a little more mid sound. Again I can’t say enough about Jay and the tech support they offer. Hope the new sv 6.5 put the system over the top.
Have you checked polarity? ua-cam.com/video/JHx8hfe_pjg/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared. Check out this video, if we get this comment usually polarity is the issue, also make sure to call me
We offer both, the hertz handles more power so when using a larger amp they are louder but many people love the infinity speakers too, both are well made and have a great sound
I have to call Bull Shit... 2000 amps peak or not is 145 amps... Bike only produces 55 amps and that's if you don't consider the amps the bike needs for it's running.... So again either it's Not 2000 watts or you battery will be dead in a few minutes
No way it makes sense to spend that much money on a motorcycle and then spend upwards of 10k and better on upgrades. Harley Davidson says nothing gets any better then a bunch of suckas.

How much for that system
We have links in the video to the kit, you can also call us at 1-844-30AUDIO to go over options and pricing. Thank you for watching!
@@volunteeraudio And Thk U hopefully will have you do auto on my bike
where are you guys located?
Oliver springs Tennessee
Oh, I was hoping somewhere near me! Looks like you guys do really clean work.@@volunteeraudio
No matter what I’ve done I can’t get my new sound stream head unit to function my gauges on the system
If you purchased from Volunteer Audio give our tech team a call 1-844-30AUDIO
@@volunteeraudio I didn’t buy it from you guys
A few years ago I purchased a Sony XAV 7000 head unit from you. Its running no AMP and 4 RF speakers.
The speaker have had it. Will this kit work with the Sony head unit I already have?
We can set the amp for your Sony radio but I would highly recommend updating your radio to the Soundstream, it is much better and you can see the display in the sun too
Ok. Thank you. Appreciate your honesty.
I now have to decide if I’m coming to Tn or buying a kit and installing myself.
Do you guys attend any of the rally’s? Daytona, Myrtle Beach in the Spring, or Ocean City Md?
Good setup. Would not say the best. But in the top 5
Everyone will have opinions but after many many people listening this kit is chosen most often, thank you for watching!
@@volunteeraudioexactly like the people who pick this set up in their opinion its good but many pick it but not all.
Ignorant on a lot of this, what is the approximate price for what you did to that road glide
Here is a link to the exact system used in this video volunteeraudio.com/product/hertz-stage-4-6-5-sx165neo-6x9-sx690neo-motorcycle-speakers-soundstream-reserve-hdhu-14si-radio-with-plug-play-amplifier-with-amp-plate-for-2014-2023-harley-davidson
We have many options and if you call us at 1-844-30AUDIO we would happy to go over them with you
Great job, but I have 4 PRV 6.5’s and a Cerwin Vega Amp that’ll blow that away. 🤷🏾♂️
It’s very hard to tell what a system sounds like on UA-cam, if your ever in East Tennessee come by and I’ll be happy to demo just how amazing our systems sound in person! Thank you for watching!
Give us a call and ask for Jay, 1-844-30AUDIO, I know something is not correct and I can help get it figured out
Have you checked polarity? ua-cam.com/video/JHx8hfe_pjg/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared. Check out this video, if we get this comment usually polarity is the issue, also make sure to call me
Yes I have
Nice but I'll stick with infinity kappa perfect
We offer both, the hertz handles more power so when using a larger amp they are louder but many people love the infinity speakers too, both are well made and have a great sound
Before you start any music just say it is for demonstration purposes only. Carlos plays all types of music.
Nope, they will take all sound out of the video if your channel is monetized
Man, what I had to do to get a sponsor one of those systems so we can get the Latino community get into bikes I drive 2021 road glide special
I’m sorry but we do not sponsor
Anything planned for Indians?
We are working on something and will video on it as we get closer to releasing
Great... Just take out a second mortgage on your house for your harley sound system 😂
We offer affirm financing and PayPal pay later
Anything to drown out that engine!
Absolutely!
I have to call Bull Shit... 2000 amps peak or not is 145 amps... Bike only produces 55 amps and that's if you don't consider the amps the bike needs for it's running.... So again either it's Not 2000 watts or you battery will be dead in a few minutes
Watch our amp dyno test video on this amp, we measure rms output in 4ohm and 2ohm plus we measure amperage at full draw
No way it makes sense to spend that much money on a motorcycle and then spend upwards of 10k and better on upgrades. Harley Davidson says nothing gets any better then a bunch of suckas.
This system is no where near 10k, thank you for watching!
I have pops, hums and terrible sound.
What amp are you using?
Umm stinger
@RoderickCross I have 2 stinger 700 watt amplifiers under my fairing with no issues. The system has been on my bike for 3 years. Good luck.
You talk too fast for me lol
Sorry
@@volunteeraudiowork on it, Jay 😉
I think you do a great job though lol.
I'm just scrolling comments trying to find the battery you recommended. I think it's the Titan 8+
