The best mod I made on my 2019 Street Glide Special was I replaced the rear shocks with Ohlins. I am 330 pounds and the 13 inch Ohlins have improved the ride immensely. I also added a taller windscreen which I got from Harley. The removable tour pak was a welcome addition as I have ridden from my home in Virginia Beach, Virginia to 49 of the 50 states (haven't done Hawaii) and being able to secure my helmet and extra gear in the tour pak is great. I enjoy your insights and common sense approach.
I recently went with the Avon Cobra Chrome's front and rear. Mate! The difference over stock Dunlops is chalk and cheese. The turn in is so smooth. Grip on the exit is solid. Only other parameter is longevity, but still early days. I rate these hoops 9 outta 10 so far
I'm currently on a Metzeler Cruisetec (front) and a Marathon ME888 on the rear. The bike rides really nice, especially with the Cruisetec on the front. But, I'm curious as to how the Avon CC's compare with the the Metzeler Cruisetecs.
Enjoy the channel! I’m on a 2023 Street Glide ST. I put 12” KST bars on my bike and an extended seat from Bad Boyz cycles in California. I’m 6’3 and the seat really helped my comfort. The riding position is great now! Thanks!
@@OldNotDead-Club they work well for me. You can get the correct height out of any bar, but the angle is what’s perfect for me with KST. I have some nerve damage in my neck, so I need my wrists as neutral as possible. Sorry to hear about freight. If you ever need someone to ship something, I’m glad to help. Us Americans are spoiled with free shipping and 2 day wait times.
Spent 10k on a variety of upgrades. High flow intake. Woods performance cam. D&D two into one exhaust. Upgraded the 2017 M8 jugs to a 114. High compression pistons. Street Glide Special is now putting out 135 foot pounds of torgue coming on early and holding until hp reaches the peak. Yes, they voided the warranty but was only told that after I had purchased the extended warranty - 56k miles and everything has worked fantastic.
I live in Atlanta Georgia I'm on my first Harley I'm 53 I just start riding a couple of years ago I enjoy your content and your style of delivery very easy to follow I will continue to support your Channel
I have a 2008 street glide. I changed all the lights on the bike to led. That includes the headlight, fog lights, front and rear blinkers, the taillight and the lower rear fender light. The visibility for me and everyone on the roads around me is incredible. I have people all the time saying how much more visible my bike is compared to any of the stock bikes.
I'm a small biker at 5'6 160lb. First bike ever and didn't want to work up to my dream bike so I just went all in and bought myself a black out '21 Street glide special. Only mods I have is LED signals, klockwerks 4" deflector and Rinehart slip-ons. Other than that I'm pretty happy with the performance and looks of my Harley.
@@Melixetyan no adjust yet just tip toeing and have been ever since even with two up riding. I will eventually do some mods and air ride for a different look of my bike. So hopefully then I will be able to flat foot my bike at stops!
Just bought my first Harley. Its a 2014 Street Glide. My last bike was a Victory Vegas Jackpot. There is nothing like a Harley. At 68 it makes me feel 35 again. My bike has upgraded options you spoke about. Not knowing what internal upgrades have been done keeps me wondering. I have the Rhinehard slipons and 6 inch high rise bars. Plus a Screaming Eagle high flow air cleaner. The add on tuner option may be my next purchase. It may give me a better idea what engine mods have been done. My Glide has 80,000 miles so a complete engine owner teardown and buildup will follow next Winter. Not to improve power as much as I want to know first hand what I have. I will build with the best upgraded parts. What I paid for this bike I can justify spending a lot on it. I enjoy the bike so much I doubt I will ever sell it. Probably my last bike. I did appreciate your video and will watch everyone. Thank you
Being 6’4” myself I can honestly say you won’t know comfort until you do at least 12” bars on the bike. I have 14” and I love them! No upper back pain or shoulder pain ever
@@OldNotDead-Club 12" bars will put you just under the batwing, that's what I have on my 15 limited. Like you wanted to stay below due to cold weather riding down to °15f. I'm 6.4 also and is extremely more comfortable ride than stock bars. You definitely won't regret doing it. RIDE SAFE
I put Vance & Hines Eliminator 300 slip ons on my 2020 Heritage Classic 114 and am very happy with them. The Harley-Davidson dealer told me I had to use the Harley-Davidson Screaming Eagle tuner to keep my warranty in tact. I wanted to use the V&H FP3 tuner but decided not to risk the warranty. I’m happy with it. Great informative video. All great ideas. I’m 6’ tall and the Mustang seat with the backrest was a great mod for me. Ride safe my friend.
I have a new Road King, I've changed the seat to a Le Pera Maverick which gives an extra 2 inches of leg room, installed Legend suspension front and rear, and added a breather so the gases from the rocker box breathers doesn't go back into the air cleaner. I haven't tampered with the engine or exhaust (I have another Harley with a loud exhaust and like having a quieter bike as well) as I find the M8 engine provided plenty of performance for the spirited riding I enjoy. The suspension upgrade made a huge improvement in the stability of the bike in corners and straights at speed so I found myself riding 10-20mph faster anyway.
Great videos! I added Fatbaggers 10" Meat hook style bars to my 2018 Street Glide Special and really like the neutral position they put my arms and hands in. Hands right at top of fairing. Ride safe.
I rebuilt everything on my 76 XLH. Granted I got it for $2,000 in crates. Every nut and bolt has been in my hands. Hell, the only old parts left are the frame and myself, 😆 She's 47 year's old ,but she's a beaut!
I am 6.1 and have a 2022 Low Rider S, replaced the stock seat with the tallboy seat from HD, replaced the exhaust with the 2-1 from Jekyl&Hide and also had a Don performance tune done. The exhaust is adjustable with a valve and has 3 positions from which I can choose the sound (electronically controlled with a button on the steering wheel).
I picked up a Billiard Red 2021 Fat Bob 114. It now has the 131 Stage IV with a Two Brothers Racing Comp S 2 into 1 exhaust and the Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather intake. It's been dyno tuned at 145 Horsepower and 160 Foot pounds (217 NM) of torque to the rear tire. I've also got the BungKing crash bars front and rear, blacked out controls from top to bottom, and LED smoked brake/turn indicators front and rear. It's my first Harley. I, like you, used to be nothing but a sport bike rider. But after years of that, and loving longer and longer rides, I wanted to step into a cruiser bike. I love the stance, height, and overall look of the Fat Bob. This thing rips. Have fun out there, and try to keep your rides wheel side down.
What’s everybody over 6’ on this site haha. I have a 2014 Heritage softail, I upgraded my cam to a woods 222, and upgraded the oil pump cam plate with SS parts plus cam chain tensioners push rods and tappets. I pull 100.22 ft lads of torque. I have Reinhart exhaust love the bike the color is mysterious red with white walls. Closing in on 50K miles. I love the Fat boy in your other video. Stay safe
I'm 6'5" and have a street glide special and I'm using 10" Klockwerx cliphanger bars. They are adjustable and keep your hands still behind the fairing but you have to change your mirrors. Nice bike and sweet mods 🍻
I’m 6’4” as well. On my RK I did the extended reach road sofa, floorboard extenders, and extended shifters and brake lever. Bike fits me perfectly now.
@@OldNotDead-Club well it’s my first Harley. I can’t imagine ever getting anything else. It’s been a great bike. I do at times miss having a gps and all. However I normally ride with a Bluetooth helmet so it’s not bad.
I have had a 2016 fatboyS a 2016 SGS and currently on a 2021 RGS. All bikes the seat, slipons, bars and wind screen. The SGS had legend suspension front and rear revoA. The RGS replaced the 12” shocks with OEM 13” shocks, a saddleman roadsofa reach seat, wind vest 14” windscreen and 14” bars. No meat hooks. On my SGS klockworks ergo bars were amazing. I’m 6’2” 235# 34” inseam.
Couple other mods that were fantastic bang for buck performance tricks. 1) go down a tooth on the rear .. it makes the bike much quicker 2) when you replace the cam have the heads shaved to raise compression.
I have a 2017 Street Glide I bought new. After a 1000 miles I put a Stage one on it as well as new headers. I drove it that way about 3 years. Then last summer I installed the S&S 475 cam plate like you did. I also purchase the Dyno Tune from Fuel Motto. It kept giving me the same error as you described. And you are right, Fuel Motto bent over backwards to get me satisfied. But I eventually went and purchased and added the Dyno Tune that stays onboard and it calibrates its self. A little costly but man it will scat. I have 12” Dominator 1 1/2” Meat Hooks coming. Can’t wait to install those.
For starters, your bike sounds amazing! You gave a great coaching type of video, cheers on that! I have an 07 TC , Fatboy with a good charge of these mods. It's got a screaming eagle carburetor, high flow air breather, a choppy cam and two into one Bassonni pipes on her. More to do! Keep the shiny side up and the greasy side down!
I have a 2020 Heritage 107, torque cam, Rinehart 2-into-2, and had to keep the SE tuner for warranty. The day my warranty expired I bought and installed the Dynojet Power Vision tuner from Fuel Moto and flashed their tune. It was incredible the gains that I got and didn't even autotune it. Highly recommend them. Thanks
I have a 2020 Heritage 114 and I added Vance & Hines slip ons and used the screaming eagle tuner from HD to preserve the warranty too. Do you think the torque cam made a big difference for you?
6’4?! Save some height for the rest of us! I’m 23 from England, saved up enough to do my unrestricted test soon then begins the saving for a road king 😎 love the videos and you and your bike are awesome and always a great watch👍
Nice video. I agree on most of the items you said. I’m on a 2021 street glide special now. One thing I wanted to touch on is to make a true stage one it’s intake, full exhaust, and a tune of tuner. A lot of people think it’s just the exhaust and intake. I think handlebars should be in the list. Alone with floor board. Especially if you’re riding a bike that came with mid controls. Overall though a pretty good video. I don’t know if I’d put a cam into this list. It’s a good mod but kinda hard on the labor side over very pricey if you pay to have it done. All all great video keep the shinny side up
American Dunlop Elites have been amazing Tires for carving up the corners. Here in Northwest Arkansas where all routes are elite-level riding roads. Highly recommend Woods cams, just swap the rods as well.
I have a 2020 SGS, I have stage 1 done, Ive added an apple carplay module, a higher windscreen-Memphis shade, I have 14inch bars, Repalced stock Derby cover and fuel cover. Also have saddle bag organisers (these are great for keeping tools etc together). LED glow kit for under body lighting. I have front wind deflectors, heated grips. Stock seat and suspension at this stage. Great video, gave me some ideas :)
Enjoyed the video. Agree with your mods. Especially the tires. I have a 2019 CVO Street Glide. Love it . Bought it thinking no need to mod lol. Have changed out pipes to Rhinehart slip ons, new cam for increase in torque (damn that was nice), and changed out bars to black 10" Yaffe bars. So much better for distance riding. I find the hand positon more relaxing with less shoulder/wrist cramping as I am 6'1. Also changed out signal lights for some bright LED flashers for more notice at night. Keep the rubber side down and happy riding
Just subscribed after your videos have come up more than a few times in my searches. 👍 I have a sportster 48 right now thinking about upgrading to a street glide soon. Testing one out this week to see if I like it. Fairly new rider so I’ll also be seeing if I’m ready for the heavier bike yet. Great video. Thanks
Great video! I have a 2020 road glide and I’ve done many of the modifications you mentioned. I’m also a taller dude. One thing you touched on was suspension. I went with the Ohlins Screaming Eagle remote reservoir for the rears and Ohlins cartridge/spring kits for the front. HUGE IMPROVEMENT!! Thanks again and ride safely!
I ride a 2017 HD SGS. I've had it for 3 years, it's 99% stock I've just been riding and maintaining. I plan on doing the handle bars and the slip ons before summer. Those Reinhart sound awesome
@Old Not Dead it does sound good and all Harleys do when idle is lowered. But to low is bad also. I would say yours is to low and not getting oil pumped up to top of motor, not good for motor. Gage may show pressured but is turning fast enough to keep pushing up tube, so free falls back down tunes. Your ride do what ya want Brother!!!
7:26 😉👍Bang on! Glorious is the 114. Have the Street Bob 114 with a full system, Cobra 909 Speedsters. I absolutely love this bike 🙂. Still being run-in, first service will see a stage 2, undecided on what type at the moment. Perhaps a seat change, stocker doesn't cause grief so might even leave it. Other than that a sissy bar and rack for some luggage. Agree, stock Dunlops are ok in the dry, sketchy in the wet 😐, and not a lot of feel on the edge.
Hi. I have a 2023 SGS. My upgrades/Mods Khrome Werkz Dominator complete exhaust, Harley torque cam job with the ventilator air box. After my warranty runs out I will change to SS475. Also installed the color matched tour pak and lower fairings from Advanblack. I have changed every light to LED and added some from Custom Dynamics. If there were such a thing, I'd have a Street Glide "Limited" lol
My Bike is a 2018 SGS 107cu in with the Hard Candy Custom Hot Rod Red Paint. First change was a Corbin seat that I broke in on a 4,000-mile 9-day trip in the western US. I've done cosmetic/safety mods including the headlight upgrade to LED, the factory lamp is garbage for that year, and LED turn signals from Custom Dynamics. New H-D shift linkage and taller Windscreen with H-D edge cut trim. I have the Harley Davidson Screamin' Eagle Ventilator Extreme and just purchased Vance and Hines Eliminator 400's, PCX Power Dual Headers and FP4 tuner. Any feedback on my stage one upgrades will be appreciated. You have a Great Channel!
I've got an 05 road king classic I have a stage one thunder header with tune . I put a tour pack for long trips and a taller windscreen a different seat and highway pegs as well
Love your videos, my name is Anthony I have 2022 street glide special, I've done the slip ons with the high flow air , I have found a company in the US that do a tunnel ram for harley m8 , you do have to change your throttle body to minimum 58 mm this paired up with their 2 to 1 stainless shorty system is producing awesome numbers , I'll so do the same and s cam
I have a street glide special. Added a cam, seat, pipes, tuning. But the big comfort item and I didn’t know it at the time was a klockwerks screen. It throws rain and wind over and to the side and adds downforce when you are getting up in the triple mph figures (allegedly)😎
I have a 2011 Road King. Only had it a few months after selling a Sportster after a few months as it was too small for me. I also have a BMW GS for faster and off road riding. The Road king is growing on me but I think I need a better seat and some 14” Carlini Gangster ape bars to get my hands away from my knees. These bars look like the right thing for me but it’s a bit of a spend when all the cables, brake lines and wiring is considered.
I recently got a 2006 Road Glide from a close friend that bought a new RG last year. It has a S&S T111(.585" cam) engine that had a S&S Super Desperado Teardrop air cleaner. I replaced that with a Screamin Eagle Chisel Extreme billet air cleaner, and now I need to up the fuel injector size as it lays over with anything more than about 1/2 throttle or so. That S&S air cleaner was restrictive!
Thanks, I will look into the indicators. I have used extended brake levers before on all my bikes and have one on now - it's not Kuryakyn - it might be "Softbrake" - I don't remember
Great video! I’ve got a 20 RGS withe the 14 inch Factory 47 bars which I love. I’m 6’4” too and find the fit to be spot on. They go great with my extended reach road sofa from Saddleman. Now I feel like the bike fits me well. Can’t wait to see what other mods you make! Cheers!
i have a 2013 heritage 110 anniversary, did a cam drive change from chain to gear, and cam is a bit different. so it rain kind of rough at idle and when slowing down. got a fuel pak 3 turner and Vance and Hinds sent me a new map. it runs a lot better now. also got a oil filter cooler, which is a pernament oil filter, but you do have to take it off and clean the 5 micorn screen when changing oil.
I’ve just gone from a stage 3 Fatboy to a 2016 Street Glide special .. which is pretty stock and quiet .. budgeting now to see what is needed the most…
I ride a 2020 Street Glide. Hi flow air cleaner, street canon slip ons, screaming eagle spark plugs and wires, pro street tuner. It runs like a sewing machine on steroids. I never got used to the hydraulic clutch so I changed the actuator. Now have plenty of friction zone. I really don't intend on making any further modifications. Cam maybe.
I recently bought a new 2023 Road Glide I have changed all the lights to led also added bag lights then I’ve changed the seat to one from Bad Boyzs also added slip ons from Tabs the 50 cal Zombies And added floor boards for my wife Next I’m thinking about doing the stereo hog tunes has a amp and speaker kit
Thanks for your comment, awesome bike and the mods can be never ending. Check out this video where i ride a RG www.oldnotdead.club/articles/riding-the-road-glide-st-131-stage-4-harley-davidson-road-glide-st
07 Ultra, many of the same performance, lighting and looks additions as you did, but I also went internal and had the crank welded, polished and balanced along with a 107 CI big block kit, TB & Injectors. (Dyno 122hp & 126tq)LED lights everywhere and then speakers and bling. Can’t upgrade because I’ve got too much invested in this girl.😅 Coming to the end of the life of the stock clutch so that is next on the list. BTW - I just turned 64 so I’m also OND 😅 *would love to see a front suspension upgrade
I have an 2018 ultra limited I put 10 LA choppers bars you don’t have to extend the cables. Not sure how they will work with the street glide mirrors. Great channel enjoy the content.
I ride a 2017 Ultra Limited..at present it's all stock. My immediate intentions are to put on Vance & Hines power dual headers and 4" Vance Hines High Output slip ons and a VO2 X air intake rounded out by the Fuel Pak III tuner which I already have....great video brother!!
Good video mate. I have a streetglide special as well. First mod was vance and Hines slip ons. Then clock werx screen, and highway pegs. Made a massive difference to comfort. Then did a hogworks sissy bar and rack. I love it. Getting a whim and headset next… so I can get full functionality of the stereo (apple car play) and hopefully better sound quality from the headset over the speakers on the bike because they’re pretty average.
2020 CVO RG a Kloxkwerks 9 and a set of chizeld low bars Ohlins 13" with the 21" front tire it sets fairly level I really need a new good 2up seat that will move me about an inch forward Im already more then flat footing the bike oh I love the bike my third cvo 4th HD I like the stock sound and has enough get up and go for me

Hello from America. On my first Harley, a ‘21 Low Rider S. Haven’t done much to it as the wife is more keen on having a Harley as opposed to really “owning” a Harley. Just a Memphis Shades fairing, a 1finger clutch, some Cobra slip ons, a 2up seat, passenger pegs, the Harley quick detach sissy bar, some throw over saddle bags. Soon to add some risers (probably Kraus) and hopefully a cam before next summer! Maybe a nice 2 into 1 pipe if I can be really persuasive?
Hey bloke great honest vid. You can ignore this perspective but the muffler inserts are not good for your engine. Let it breathe properly and tune it accordingly. They’re robbing you of power and destroying the scavenging effect of your headers as they’re making the exhaust gas compress inside the header. Just like with your intake any obstacles in exhausts are a negative. The easier it breathes in and out the more efficient which creates efficiency and therefore power. Good luck and see you out there mate 👌🏽
if only the 475 on paper didnt sway me away as I like the bottom end of the star 30/30. I have a star 30/30 cam coming same header pipes you got the jackpot 2-1-2. I have the GNX slipons and I am excited based off of how yours sounds but mine might be a bit more mellow as the 475 has a really awesome choppy idle . I have a 2023 Streetglide ST. Great video from a viewer in California! Just got my '22 Low Rider S and am considering full system exhaust (Horsepower Inc.), intake (S&S tear drop) and a tune.
Cool video. If you can get your wife to sit on a Le Pera seat for an hour, you are a superhero my man. My wife draws the limit at 30 minutes each way. Cheers.
Very good video, your a cool dude! Got myself a low rider s lately with the 117 motor and will change it over a longer period. Love the bike already, also have a supermoto, its a different world.
@@OldNotDead-Club i am breaking it in properly atm in the swiss mountains, cant wait until thats done, then its really a super nice cruiser and can deliver when you want it. What I love most about it is how relaxed it rides! Never thought to buy a Harley but after test riding I could not get it off my mind 😄
@@OldNotDead-Club Yes After venting the air cleaner I no longer get an oil residue in the air cleaner which means the pistons are not getting carboned up from burning oil. I also vented the trans cover. IMO the bike runs a little cooler and seems to be more responsive. But without out actual dyno testing I cannot say how much.
@@OldNotDead-Club I did watch the vid but, it's a Harley. I have had shovels, evo's, twin cams and now an m8 hot oily air coming out of the valve covers is just the nature of the design. With factory air cleaners the heads are vented into the air cleaner, and that hot oily air gets burned and leaves carbon deposits on the pistons as well as hot oily air increases cylinder temperatures and isn't very good for performance in general. I never had any dripping issues, but a thin film of oil covered the inside of the air cleaner and throttle body.
Hello , i have to say that your street glide looks and sounds amazing. I can understand that you have a lot of experience on harleys. I just want to know your opinion, I'm thinking the softail slim as my first ever bike . What you're saying for it ? Thank you
You are right. Harleys are chick magnets. After spending a small fortune on one, you might just land a three hundred pounder. Problem is, after that you have to spend a day cleaning up the snail tracks. lol
I installed advanblack 2 inch lowering blocks for ride height as I'm 5 ft 7" - looking for suggestions for lower fairings or leather covers for my 2014 streetglide special.

@@OldNotDead-Club Yes mate , but its a lot of money , as you know , but I am looking at getting a set of cruise techs on soon, the stock dunlops just dont give me much confidence on the cornering , I recommend you look at some ohlins rears they made a huge difference probably my no 1 mod and not bad price for the cheaper USA models like the ohlins HD777
Hey mate I have 2018 114 fat bob. Do u know if they have oil sumping issues with this particular model? I'm saving up for stage 2 along with aftermarket oil pump.
Hi Greg, I got the bike second hand with a few km's on the clock from an interstate dealer. The cam install was part of an overall deal including shipping to - and registering in my state - so I can't really give you those figures. After I got the bike I re tuned anyway with the power vision tuner
That's Australian slang. It depends on the context it is used in. It can affectionately mean a silly person when someone has done something "stupid" or it can have a stronger meaning to show that someone is strongly disliked and does stupid things regularly
You are 100% right on the wind protection from your other video . I had a Road king before the SGS and rode it most of the time without the wind shield ,theirs a big difference . It looks more sleeker without it , but it beats your body up as well . Road king is nice you can see in front of the bike better , you also pay the price without no wind protection . Taking long rides you need it .Bat wing fairing is nice .
@@Shadrach666 The road king is a good bike , however with no windshield the wind pounds your chest and you feel it when you get off the bike . With the windshield you still do not get as much wind protection as the road glide or street glide . They are all good bikes , it just preference.
@@Shadrach666 hard fast riding on a Harley is hard work without a screen. You are sitting upright and the wind beats into you. Try riding at 100mph for an extended period of time - sitting upright and without a screen it "beats you up"
Hi,iam new here ✌️ nice Bike. Street Glide for ever 💪 for me the handlebars are the most important thing next to the exhaust. it's a completely different ride with an ape!
@@OldNotDead-Club oh I think here in Germany the rules are even stricter. The Ape has an appraisal and must be registered. A report must also be included with the exhaust. The cam must have a report synonymous. everything is very strict here.
Thinking of adding a cruiser to the stable. I'm always concerned when folks say this is a great bike, but they list a dozen mods, 000.00 of $(they never give specific amounts) to fix a $40k bike.
The $ amount varies depending on where in the world you are - what parts you buy and who puts them on. You are not really "fixing" rather then removing the EPA restrictions and bringing the bike alive.

Yes, they voided the warranty but was only told that after I had purchased the extended warranty - 56k miles and everything has worked fantastic.
Thanks for your input, that's the way to go
I live in Atlanta Georgia I'm on my first Harley I'm 53 I just start riding a couple of years ago I enjoy your content and your style of delivery very easy to follow I will continue to support your Channel
Thank you very much I will do my best to keep them videos coming!
Yep essential
I'm a small biker at 5'6 160lb. First bike ever and didn't want to work up to my dream bike so I just went all in and bought myself a black out '21 Street glide special. Only mods I have is LED signals, klockwerks 4" deflector and Rinehart slip-ons. Other than that I'm pretty happy with the performance and looks of my Harley.
Thanks for your comment - great bike, Im sure you will love it for a long time
Did you anything to adjust your tall? I am 5,7 and 170 lbs, im afraid its a bit big for me, difficult to put both legs down
@@Melixetyan no adjust yet just tip toeing and have been ever since even with two up riding.
Not knowing what internal upgrades have been done
keeps me wondering.
You are probably right but at the moment I have no pain in my back or shoulders - so low incentive to change
12” and higher bars make a huge difference in feeling you have more room.
Thanks, 12 would put my hands above the fairing I think?
Thanks for your comment - enjoy your bike and the channel!
❤
Yeah suspension helps a lot. Love those Lepera seats!
Great videos! I added Fatbaggers 10" Meat hook style bars to my 2018 Street Glide Special and really like the neutral position they put my arms and hands in. Hands right at top of fairing. Ride safe.
Sounds great! Love to see a picture (post in our FB group)
I rebuilt everything on my 76 XLH. Granted I got it for $2,000 in crates. Every nut and bolt has been in my hands. Hell, the only old parts left are the frame and myself, 😆 She's 47 year's old ,but she's a beaut!
Agree!
Thats a cool idea for the exhaust, im impressed
Awesome bike! Thanks for commenting
@OldNotDead-Club absolutely! Thanks for what you do. Just came across your channel a couple days ago. Keep it up bud, you're doing great things.
Stay safe
Thanks and you too
I'm 6'5" and have a street glide special and I'm using 10" Klockwerx cliphanger bars. They are adjustable and keep your hands still behind the fairing but you have to change your mirrors. Nice bike and sweet mods 🍻
Thanks, sounds great - i will look them up
I had slip ons but went back to stock. I wanted a quieter ride for long distance rides.
I can understand that
I’m 6’4” as well. On my RK I did the extended reach road sofa, floorboard extenders, and extended shifters and brake lever. Bike fits me perfectly now.
Sounds great, I love the Road King - almost bought it myself
@@OldNotDead-Club well it’s my first Harley. I can’t imagine ever getting anything else. It’s been a great bike. I do at times miss having a gps and all. However I normally ride with a Bluetooth helmet so it’s not bad.
Yep! For Sure the Floor Board Extenders, stop the knee aches on a long trip
Thanks sounds like you have a great setup
Couple other mods that were fantastic bang for buck performance tricks. 1) go down a tooth on the rear .. it makes the bike much quicker 2) when you replace the cam have the heads shaved to raise compression.
Thanks, its endless isn't it
I have a 2017 Street Glide I bought new.
Thanks - have you noticed a difference or improvement from the FM tune?
For starters, your bike sounds amazing! You gave a great coaching type of video, cheers on that! I have an 07 TC , Fatboy with a good charge of these mods. It's got a screaming eagle carburetor, high flow air breather, a choppy cam and two into one Bassonni pipes on her. More to do!
Keep the shiny side up and the greasy side down!
Thanks that's much appreciated. Hope you enjoy the channel
Thanks
My pleasure and great bike you have
I have a 2020 Heritage 114 and I added Vance & Hines slip ons and used the screaming eagle tuner from HD to preserve the warranty too. Do you think the torque cam made a big difference for you?
6’4?! Save some height for the rest of us! I’m 23 from England, saved up enough to do my unrestricted test soon then begins the saving for a road king 😎 love the videos and you and your bike are awesome and always a great watch👍
Thank you very much - good luck with your test and you will love the road king
All all great video keep the shinny side up
Thank you, I have since done a handlebar change in a later video.
Thanks - i have the saddle bag organisers also - they are very handy
Enjoyed the video. Agree with your mods. Especially the tires. I have a 2019 CVO Street Glide. Love it . Bought it thinking no need to mod lol. Have changed out pipes to Rhinehart slip ons, new cam for increase in torque (damn that was nice), and changed out bars to black 10" Yaffe bars. So much better for distance riding. I find the hand positon more relaxing with less shoulder/wrist cramping as I am 6'1. Also changed out signal lights for some bright LED flashers for more notice at night. Keep the rubber side down and happy riding
Thanks - enjoy the bike and ride safe
Great insight. I just bought a 2021 RG special with 114 c.i. Engine. Trying to sort out where to start with mods & updates.
Thanks
Welcome to the channel
Great video! I have a 2020 road glide and I’ve done many of the modifications you mentioned. I’m also a taller dude. One thing you touched on was suspension. I went with the Ohlins Screaming Eagle remote reservoir for the rears and Ohlins cartridge/spring kits for the front. HUGE IMPROVEMENT!! Thanks again and ride safely!
Thanks, probably the next thing I do
I ride a 2017 HD SGS. I've had it for 3 years, it's 99% stock I've just been riding and maintaining. I plan on doing the handle bars and the slip ons before summer. Those Reinhart sound awesome
Thanks the pipes do sound good, had them on two street glides so far
@Old Not Dead it does sound good and all Harleys do when idle is lowered. But to low is bad also. I would say yours is to low and not getting oil pumped up to top of motor, not good for motor. Gage may show pressured but is turning fast enough to keep pushing up tube, so free falls back down tunes. Your ride do what ya want Brother!!!
My dealer told me my 21 rgs did already have a high flow filter & didn't need anything more when I went with a stage 2 setup. Nice video.
Thank you very much
7:26 😉👍Bang on!
Thanks for watching
Thanks - its sounds like you have a great paint job, would love to see that
I've got an 05 road king classic I have a stage one thunder header with tune . I put a tour pack for long trips and a taller windscreen a different seat and highway pegs as well
Thanks for watching, love the RK
Love your videos, my name is Anthony I have 2022 street glide special, I've done the slip ons with the high flow air , I have found a company in the US that do a tunnel ram for harley m8 , you do have to change your throttle body to minimum 58 mm this paired up with their 2 to 1 stainless shorty system is producing awesome numbers , I'll so do the same and s cam
Thanks much appreciated
I have a street glide special. Added a cam, seat, pipes, tuning. But the big comfort item and I didn’t know it at the time was a klockwerks screen. It throws rain and wind over and to the side and adds downforce when you are getting up in the triple mph figures (allegedly)😎
Thanks, I tried one once but the standard SG screen was better - might be my height? Great bike the SG special
Yes it can be costly to make the mods especially if you are running multiple bikes. It is very rewarding once you get your bike right
2022 Fat Boy @ the Harley dealer shop now having a stage 4 installed. Still under warranty just got it about 3 weeks earlier
Very nice! - I wish we could do pictures in the comments
I have a 2021 SGS and I love my LA choppers 8 inch mini apes. Most comfortable for me at 5.10
Great to see how many street glide rider there are. I thought that was the height of standard bars? Are yours a different shape?
Hoglights led drl turn signals are great option too with smoked lens and Kuryakyn extended brake lever make it more comfortable
Cheers!
Thanks for the kind the words.
i have a 2013 heritage 110 anniversary, did a cam drive change from chain to gear, and cam is a bit different. so it rain kind of rough at idle and when slowing down. got a fuel pak 3 turner and Vance and Hinds sent me a new map. it runs a lot better now. also got a oil filter cooler, which is a pernament oil filter, but you do have to take it off and clean the 5 micorn screen when changing oil.
Cam maybe.
Thanks, a cam and aftermarket tune will make it rumble and go hard.
I recently bought a new 2023 Road Glide I have changed all the lights to led also added bag lights then I’ve changed the seat to one from Bad Boyzs also added slip ons from Tabs the 50 cal Zombies
And added floor boards for my wife
Next I’m thinking about doing the stereo hog tunes has a amp and speaker kit
Thanks for your comment, awesome bike and the mods can be never ending. Check out this video where i ride a RG

Can’t upgrade because I’ve got too much invested in this girl.😅
Coming to the end of the life of the stock clutch so that is next on the list. BTW - I just turned 64 so I’m also OND 😅
*would love to see a front suspension upgrade
Thanks for watching, your bike sounds awesome
I have an 2018 ultra limited I put 10 LA choppers bars you don’t have to extend the cables. Not sure how they will work with the street glide mirrors. Great channel enjoy the content.
Sounds great! Thanks
Thank you much appreciated and that will breathe some life into your bike - awesome!
That cam sounds awesome!!!
Thank you - I think so too
Good video mate.
Great mods, I have had V& H slip ons before they sound great. Lol, I have never used the stereo on 2 street glides now - but the GPS is great!
2020 CVO RG a Kloxkwerks 9 and a set of chizeld low bars Ohlins 13" with the 21" front tire it sets fairly level I really need a new good 2up seat that will move me about an inch forward Im already more then flat footing the bike oh I love the bike my third cvo 4th HD I like the stock sound and has enough get up and go for me
Thanks for your comment, see my "apology" video re the RG - awesome bike
03 fatboy 100th anniversary edition 95ci stroker with drag pipes new 18" rims 12" ape hangers bars new mustache crash bar stage 2 hi flow air intake dyno tuned about to add the powervison tuner with the woods 666 cams & i love riding this bike now can't wait till i get my cams installed... but i am also about to get a new streetglide special
You will love the Street Glide! Thanks for watching
Hey what's up brother!!!!
Love the channel, yeah I upgraded my 2005 15th anniversary Fatboy, installed new fueling cam plate/HF oil pump , 2 into 1 v&h pro pipe , stage 1 se intake/ air filter ,with a G37 Andrews, power cam. BEAST!!
I regret not getting the torque cam it's a b**** around town... exactly what you said!!
I might even go with it SS 525 a mid cam, that covers all.
Hey Amin,( sorry lol) can you please make a video on the patience of riding , with a.....hole people, in cages...feels like I'm mad Max!!
Hey Man,
Greetings from the US.. Good overview vid!
I currently have a 2020 HD Forty Eight.
V&H FP3 fuel pack, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, Screaming Eagle 10mm Wires and Cobra RPT 3 inch Slip-Ons.
Next step is a cam.
Be safe out there! 🤙🏻
Thanks, and welcome to the channel - the 48 is a very cool bike.
G'day mate. I was watching Whitey's video and he put me on your channel. Subbed and liked. PS: Your mods are spot on your bike. Eric
Hi Eric, thanks on all counts!
Hello to you too. The low rider s is awesome, congratulations a 2 into 1 would look great on that
Hey bloke great honest vid.
Thanks for your input, i haven't heard that before I will try and look into it
if only the 475 on paper didnt sway me away as I like the bottom end of the star 30/30. I have a star 30/30 cam coming same header pipes you got the jackpot 2-1-2. I have the GNX slipons and I am excited based off of how yours sounds but mine might be a bit more mellow as the 475 has a really awesome choppy idle
. I have a 2023 Streetglide ST. I have done a bronze windscreen from HD, HD dominion (bronze Grips)12" KST Mayham Bars (no extension required but clutch cable is nearly at max) S&S GNX slip ons apple carplay adapter ($9 off amazon) amazon plastic lowers (unsure if I like hard lowers vs going soft lowers) crashbar for lowers (unsure of the brand) power vision tuner tuned through fuel moto. Eagle lights Gen 3 head light diode dynamics front turn signals eagle lights rear turn signals (had issues with the fronts not syncing correctly so stole the set I was going to use on my sportster flip project)
I have like i said on the way
star 30/30 cam
S&S cam kit (plate oil pump pushrods the works)
Jackpot 2-1-2 catless headpipe
Fox 13" rear shocks
Future plans
replace the prone to failure plastic intake manifold
new throttle body
5.5 injectors
fuel rail
passenger peg mounts and dominion pegs (ST is setup as a solo bike)
Born Scum (saddleman) step up just unsure on pattern and design yet
going to do a rear turn signal delete and run cvo style fender lights (run brake turn)
probably going to stay 117ci but I will see how long that lasts if I go big might go 124/128. pretty sure going 131+ it gets VERY expensive to build correctly
Stock Roadglide headlights are way better with two. Maybe Roadglide is your better fit.
Thanks you are probably right about 2 lights being better than one
Great video from a viewer in California! Just got my '22 Low Rider S and am considering full system exhaust (Horsepower Inc.), intake (S&S tear drop) and a tune.
Hey congratulations, the low rider s look awesome. You will love the mods you have planned - changes the bike and makes it even better
I've got a nighttrain 2002 love it mate
Nice they are VERY cool looking bikes
Great Video Aymen, I’m looking to purchase a Streetglide special very soon so I’ll hit you up on some advice on some mods if that’s ok.
Thank you very much - yes that's fine. You will love the Streetglide
Cool video. If you can get your wife to sit on a Le Pera seat for an hour, you are a superhero my man. My wife draws the limit at 30 minutes each way. Cheers.
Lol, i will get around to finding a sofa type seat that also gives me enough leg room
Very good video, your a cool dude! Got myself a low rider s lately with the 117 motor and will change it over a longer period. Love the bike already, also have a supermoto, its a different world.
Hey thanks mate. Glad you like the low rider S - with a 117 that would be awesome
I predict a fun future for you - great bike in the Swiss mountainside - seriously fun!
The only complaint I have with my Street Glide S is the uncomfortable or harsh ride. I'm looking to find a softer rear suspension.
Thanks, that's interesting I have the suspension dialled right up so should be the same .. lol maybe I don't know what I'm missing out on?
I usually do air cleaner and crankcase ventilation first.
do you think the crank case ventilation has made a difference?
@@OldNotDead-Club Yes
After venting the air cleaner I no longer get an oil residue in the air cleaner which means the pistons are not getting carboned up from burning oil.
I also vented the trans cover.
IMO the bike runs a little cooler and seems to be more responsive. But without out actual dyno testing I cannot say how much.
Have a look at my "part 2" video just out a few days ago re the oil coming from the air cleaner issue. Seems to work.
I never had any dripping issues, but a thin film of oil covered the inside of the air cleaner and throttle body.
ok, fair enough, thanks I get what you are trying to say
Nice video. Yeah I want to get a Power Vision and do a stage 1 and 2 on my Road Glide. 👍
I think you will be super happy with that!
Magnaflo exhaust sounds a lot better than Rinehart by far. Red shift cams are a better cam in my opinion.
Thanks for your input - I haven't heard that exhaust - good to have choices
Hello , i have to say that your street glide looks and sounds amazing. I can understand that you have a lot of experience on harleys. I just want to know your opinion, I'm thinking the softail slim as my first ever bike . What you're saying for it ?
Thank you
Great looking bike the slim. I love it, its light and easy to ride.
@@OldNotDead-Club thank you very much
Badass bike!
Thank you - it is!
An m8 from dynojet information, wants back pressure. Most pipes will not provide enough back pressure
Thanks, I believe that's why the inserts helped
Great channel name.
Thank you very much
You are right. Harleys are chick magnets. After spending a small fortune on one, you might just land a three hundred pounder. Problem is, after that you have to spend a day cleaning up the snail tracks. lol
lol you are hanging with the wrong crowd
@OldNotDead-Club Just an observation while on the road. I've always rode Rice. That way I know that it's me the girl wants.
Dynojet will also tell you NOT to delete your catalytic converters on an m8. On a twin cam yes.
I'm not sure how you could do this when you change the headers?
Great video... Love the jacket, where did you get that from? 2020 street bob rider here.
Thanks it's a great jacket. The brand is Hold Fast, it's a tailor made jacket as I don't seem to fit well into an off the shelf jacket
@@OldNotDead-Club Thanks. 6'4 240 so we are in the same boat. I'm kinda old too..LOL
LOL, that's why i started the channel - we are NOT old - plenty of life left lol
I installed advanblack 2 inch lowering blocks for ride height as I'm 5 ft 7" - looking for suggestions for lower fairings or leather covers for my 2014 streetglide special.
Mate would you consider getting work done like flowing the heads to complement all your other mods.?
oh yeah I certainly would. Maybe next winter. I will see how satisfied I am in the soon to be summer season.
Sounds awesome!
Thank you
The problem is that once you're done modding and don't want anymore, you start to get bored🙂
lol, yes that can happen and then it's onto the next bike
I agree. But this goes for my other hobbies as well.
I usually get the same air cleaner
Love the tear drop!
So you can make the dyno have your bike a little richer?
Im thinking of buying either the HD latest bike or sn Indian motorcycle why if you're from Victoria did you buy your bike from interstate
That's just where it was located, well worth the drive for this bike. Great price, great condition.
2 must do mods to my Suzuki.
Fill it with fuel.
Adjust the levers.
Ride it.
You are correct but its a suzuki
I have a Streetglide ST, replaced the seat, a Road Sofa, Neighbor Hater slipons, removable back rest/luggage rack, and highway pegs, taller windshield. No motor work, no tune.
Cool, great bike and thanks for your input
Any difference between SG ST and Special? Except the bronze stuff of course, which look great
@@Melixetyan the 117, suspension, and bags.
Killer jacket, whst brand and model is that?
Thanks it's a great jacket. The brand is Hold Fast, it's a tailor made jacket as I don't seem to fit well into an off the shelf jacket
Good video mate !!
Glad you enjoyed it
Done almost identical mods to my RKS
Fantastic - you would be very happy?
@@OldNotDead-Club Yes mate , but its a lot of money , as you know , but I am looking at getting a set of cruise techs on soon, the stock dunlops just dont give me much confidence on the cornering , I recommend you look at some ohlins rears they made a huge difference probably my no 1 mod and not bad price for the cheaper USA models like the ohlins HD777
Thanks I will check them out
Hey mate I have 2018 114 fat bob. Do u know if they have oil sumping issues with this particular model? I'm saving up for stage 2 along with aftermarket oil pump.
I really like to know how much the cam cost you if you don’t mind telling me The install cost with the tune
Hi Greg, I got the bike second hand with a few km's on the clock from an interstate dealer. The cam install was part of an overall deal including shipping to - and registering in my state - so I can't really give you those figures. After I got the bike I re tuned anyway with the power vision tuner
I very much enjoyed your video. But I have one question...What is a nob? Or is it a knob? I might be one as well. Please advise.
Thanks 100% agree with you
@@Shadrach666 The road king is a good bike , however with no windshield the wind pounds your chest and you feel it when you get off the bike . With the windshield you still do not get as much wind protection as the road glide or street glide . They are all good bikes , it just preference.
@@OldNotDead-Club I have both bikes
@@Shadrach666 hard fast riding on a Harley is hard work without a screen. You are sitting upright and the wind beats into you. Try riding at 100mph for an extended period of time - sitting upright and without a screen it "beats you up"

Hi,iam new here ✌️ nice Bike. Street Glide for ever 💪
for me the handlebars are the most important thing next to the exhaust. it's a completely different ride with an ape!
Hi and thanks. That seems to be the majority opinion. What size bars are you using on your Glide?
@@OldNotDead-Club i have 15' it drives absolut great
wow that's high. I don't even think that would be legal here - we have pretty draconian rules.
@@OldNotDead-Club oh I think here in Germany the rules are even stricter. The Ape has an appraisal and must be registered. A report must also be included with the exhaust. The cam must have a report synonymous. everything is very strict here.
@@MrOdin68 wow that's strict.
great video!
Thanks!
Nice MC, what brand is it?
lol, er Harley I think?
14” better handling and comfort with taller bars
I have tried 14's on a friend's bike, got sore shoulders in less than 5 mins
