I have always like the SG and when Harley redesigned it back in 2014 as part of their Rushmore project thats when I decided it was time for one of my own and bought a 2014 SGS. I love the Batwing fairing and the infotainment system but I have to say that the stock suspension really sucks. This bike is really comfortable when riding on a well maintained road or highway but on a rough rode you will feel every bit of it. The owner of the garage that services my bike has a 2014 SGS and upgraded the rear suspension and he said it's like night and day compared to the POS stock suspension. That will be my next expense.
Thanks for the feed back , that was a great space but the ceilings were so hi , I just could not get rid of that echo ,lol. Check out the newer ones and let me know if you think it was improvement , as this channel grows so will my equipment ,lol.
Great video! Do they still have the damned air shocks? I had a 2011 Street Glide and it pounded me to pieces. I don't know if the air leaked out all the time or what. I needed the lowered style and the Electra Glide Classic I had in '08 was too high. I am now looking for another Street Glide someone said they did away with the air shocks. I am 230 lbs. but it shouldn't have bottomed out all the time.
I have a 2014. Gone to Alaska on the Street Glide Special. Also, shipped my bike to Europe & toured for 4 months. To be honest, the stock suspension, front & rear, is awful. Switched to Progressive. With the upgrade, I can take any flat or mountainous road safety.
The Rushmore project started 2014 and has carried on through the baggers . It is really just a new phase in there development, it is more of a reference to the research they used to come up with the new ideas , and is shown on the new models
I have a 2014 Street Glide and absolutely love it
Awesome bike , thanks for watching
Enjoyed your video. I really liked the American flag reflecting perfectly on the back of the saddle bag when you were talking about the exhaust.
Great video. I have the 2015 street glide. Love it.

Are all 2014 street glide Rushmore? Or is this a special bike. And how do you know it’s a Rushmore?
