During those years, I was so lovesick that I would have given her everything I owned if she had wanted to scam me. By the way, I'm a Nigerian immigrant. I'm not saying that she's not deserving of a good man, maybe she is, maybe she isn't. Even if she is, doesn't change the fact that she is not the target demographic for men who look like "Garret." So many of these people would be spared a world of hurt if they would just wake up to reality. Any time a good-looking man hits me up on social media, I immediately know they're a scammer and block them immediately.
Lets face it Garret is not exactly a looker either, even if he visits a gym regularly. He is a fifty something old guy, so he would be a good match to a 50 years old woman. I honestly don't know why people refer to him as an 'attractive guy'.
Ouch, Drew! Good point! 'So your wanting this relationship doesn't have anything to do with all those lovely gold bars with rubies hidden inside them?'

She explained near the end of the video that most of the money she lost on the scam was from savings such as retirement. A big portion could've been from her late husband, such as his retirement savings that would've went to her and also life insurance.
I am almost 60 & I learned many years ago that I am responsible for my own happiness. To be fair, this one never claimed to be smart. She said she worked in 'healthcare' but clarified she was an office worker. Very possibly, no skills attached.
Most of the “victims” claim to be smart and educated if you watch a lot of these. I have watched a 100 or more of these and most say I’m too smart to fall for a scam or I have several degrees and well educated. The problem is they have no common sense or sometimes no self respect.

Greed, ego and delusion. She mentioned meeting men on dates face to face and that they never went well, which is clearly because they were actual real people who were on her level with age, looks, etc. She was looking for a fantasy man. A guy younger than her, well built, and insanely rich. Once she supposedly found him, she was hooked.
Just block them. Reporting them is a waste of time. None of the dating or social media sites care about scammers and fake accounts because if they really went after them, it would mean less users and that means less ad revenue and lower stock prices.
“Several marriages,” one common denominator…she is the problem, period! She sees herself as a victim and that part is true. But she a victim to herself, she is her own culprit!
The way she asked ‘Are they all Black ?’ Did she forget that she was conversing with Drew a black man , who was helping her ! It came across rude and racist .
Some of it is delusion where they think that they’re at the same level as the hot person pursuing them. Some of it is loneliness. Some of it is living the fantasy that they’re wanted by some hot person.
I really liked this Catfished episode because you asked the victim open ended questions to get them to think critically about their actions and how they could have done their own research to find out if he was a scammer or not. I would love to see more episodes like this so the victims not only learn the person is fake but they learn to self reflect on why they were talking to and believing these lies in the first place...
I also liked that they beeped out the real name of the guy in the photos. That’s an improvement over when they used to have them come on the channel. But better yet they shouldn’t mention their name even to the victim.
Let me guarantee you that there is no man walking this earth that wears a wedding ring when they are not married to keep women away 😂. Rather the opposite.

Yep 👍 it’s the Hallmark romantic movie syndrome.😂 a normal dude isn’t good enough for these women, even tho their looks have expired years ago , they still think they’re entitled to a handsome, rich, international traveling hunk, who’s at least 30 years younger than them😁😁😁

yep. the real guy who works at the post office and would treat her right , is not exciting enough, but the fake internet scammer with the James Bond lifestyle always sucks them in every time 😆😆
