And people need to start recognizing Nigerian accents. They're not European or French!!
Well, certain African accents certainly have a french accent/aspect, depending on colonialism. But most Americans aren't worldly - less than even half own a passport - so they're particularly easy to manipulate with an 'exotic european' accent that's Nigerian or similar.
and of course they know that France IS an european coutry..? there is no such thing as "european accent".
@@vercoda9997 yes I saw one video where the 'boyfriend' was stuck in London because of the earthquakes (we have no earthquakes in the UK) and one was on an oil rig near Rome. The nearest oil rig to Rome is probably near Norway. All the European accents are different and in many countries there is more than one. In the UK accents are completely different all over the place. Even a small country like Scotland has distinct accents.
american have no clue about accents, they don't even know where Europe is...
The thing is...the typical victim doesn't really want to recognize anything that might interfere with their fantasy.
Calling people peasants, not paying employees, cocaine in his bag, sounds like a gem!! Not meeting someone after 4 years on the internet might be a clue that they are not real

Agree. " King Arthur " would be history. Lol!
Right? He sounded like a bigot and racist straight out the gate too…a real good guy! SMH
Absolutely.
It is messed up that he acted like that of course, but I think the scammers generally try to sound like whatever they think their target wants them to be. So she may be giving off a vibe that that's the type of guy she'd go for. She did say that the last one before the scammer was verbally abusive. Maybe she mentioned that to the scammer, and so he figured he'd have the best luck acting like that type of guy. Also he probably figured he could make her feel bad for his employees, so she'd send the cash. SMH 🙄 I can't believe she sent 50,000 bucks WTF and maybe more.
Then when they showed her the real guy and he's a Russian politician she started getting angry at that guy. It was like she really thought it was the politician scamming her for a second there, and he didn't just have his pictures stolen and used by a scammer. Lol
But he's so handsome and masculine!

Fun fact, a couple from Brazil just had airport works switch their luggage tags with bags full of cocaine. Yeah, I agree. She seemed to actually recognize that she had acted stupidly and that she was the one solely responsible. From how she described it, it seemed like an addiction.
Her personality presents masochistic tendencies. Her previous husband who mooched off her, and then this guy 'Frank.' It fits a similar pattern. She should work with a therapist to unlearn these behaviors that keep putting her in a self-defeating position.

Franks a 7, she's a 4. Frank giving her attention makes her thinks she's a 7 too, and she will spend everything she has to keep the delusion going. By admitting to herself that Frank is scamming her, is admitting to herself she's not a 7. Clearly not something she wanted to do. Same happens to men too.
@@paulh7798 But what difference does it make if she's a 7 or a 4? I think she enjoyed the attention from a man she thought was a "successful businessman" (a step up from her usual). Amerikanas and their number rankings. What happened to loving the heart of the person and not their looks and wealth. We still use peasants for people living in the poverty conditions. So you are making a value judgement through a cultural lens, which is just as wrong. "It's beneath me" sounds like a line repeated from Korean or Russian or African mafia man boss drama. I am a peasant living in slums. When I was a teenager I would tell foreigners I was a slum-lord princess and my papa ran everything hoping to scare them away. It only made them think if they could offer more money for food and I would take them home, I guess. So I took the money sometimes and I ran for my life. It is evil how many of you believe you can come here and buy a woman and how many write it in comments to ask my husband how much he paid for me when I'm priceless and buying a wife is illegal in 287 countries and the USA has deal with most countries to come right then and arrest the men who try to use the bride finder. You should know your own IMBRA laws.
Raise your hand if you're getting less and less able to feel sorry for these victims. This exact scam has been exposed over and over for years, and we still have people too arrogant to think it could happen to them.

That's the same thought I always have. Even if this guy were real, why would you want to get involved with someone who gets into so much trouble, especially overseas? "then the unexpected happened"
the unexpected: *literally what i expected to happen*
I'm always so confused when they say they just hope he's real.
Why? That means you have fallen for a bum who can't handle their finances and relies on a stranger to help them survive?
These peoole are rich, famous or have great careers. But the victims never consider that rich people have rich friends that they could borrow from?
If they have everything going well, why don't they take out a personal loan?
These people are clueless.
That statement always gets my goat. 😮
Exactly 🙄🤦♀️ .
Except if real, there is a small chance of the money being paid back, or that THEY can be the ones to end the relationship on their terms, and that they were not fooled by a scam. If a scam….then they have to face they were tricked, they were a victim, and the money is gone.
Many can’t face that they were duped (see Trump fans) and will ignore any evidence or red flag.
Wealthy people only hang out with other wealthy people, they didn't get rich by being open to scammers trying to take what they've worked for.
Really, those things are so true.
Lets get this straight. This woman sold her only HOME, to send a stranger on the internet she has known for 6ish months, $5,000. That is all she got for her trailer and all she had and she sent it all? It's really, really hard to keep empathy when someone makes these kinds of choices.

These people always talk about how they have deep conversations with their scammer but the texts they show as an example are always just like “I can’t wait for us to be together. You are my Queen.”
The lesson here, besides not sending money to strangers, is to ALWAYS trust your intuition! She said multiple times that her gut was telling her something was amiss and she chose to ignore it. A very expensive lesson
He preyed on her vanity. When Frank gave her attention, she went (in her mind) from a 4/10 to a 7/10, and she happily paid the $50K to keep the delusion going. Vanity trumps intuition every time. It even trumps logic and reason.
No, her intuition told her to send $50,000 to someone she had never met. She should have listened to her family and friends. NEVER trust intuition unless it's backed up by facts and reason.
This really is a strange and amazing case. The scammer came across as the opposite of a good person - rude, denigrates his employees, refuses to pay them, frequently gets arrested. Why would a scammer want to role play as a villain instead of a hero? And why on earth did someone fall for it?? Did she really think that cruel personality wouldn’t affect her if he’d been real? Fascinating stuff.
She is attracted to narcissists… I know this because I used to be the same way.
The scammer was likely just providing the kind of personality they believed she was attracted to. I'm guessing she made some kind of disparaging remarks about those she feels are below her, and he either misinterpreted it (language barrier) or it was a description of her ex's mindset, and he assumed that's the type she's attracted to.
My guess...she said something about her now being on disability, but being "different" ( she's clearly higher class), from other poor people on disability. 😊

Somebody with a basic understanding of media would be able to identify the scammer *and this is good for the scammer* because what the scammer does it weed out the most gullible. So when you see a obvious scam letter full of spelling mistakes, those spelling mistakes are intentional because the people that do respond, are their intended targets.
I love your UA-cam name. It made me giggle. 🤭
It's the same with the disappearing off the radar and then popping up again. It's a manipulation technique and to check if the fish is on the hook. Will you overlook being ignored for a month? If so, you're a solid mark they can exploit.
that actually makes sense. They seek out idiots
@@aspyatkova u just called the victim an idiot lol
@@michaelykwon absolutely
Did he ask her how her day was and call her beautiful. Awwww such deep convo
Of course queen
Most of these victims of scams listen to no one, until all their money is gone!
sad but true
The scammer feeds their overinflated sense of self worth, and they happily pay to keep the delusion going. It's got nothing to do with love - she never met the man. She's in love with her delusion.
WTF is an "Internet Boyfriend?" If she hasn't met him in person, he is not a boyfriend.
and it's not "dating"
It's a fantasy grandiose narcissists pay for.
She’s crazy. I somehow don’t think these photos are the same person.
Right? It’s an acquaintance at best… boyfriend. Pffffft. SMH
If you talk to someone online and you've never met then they are simply an online penpal...that's what I've always said 😒
Her ex husband was a narcissist who saw her gullibility.
So she admits that she’s gullible. That’s a start.
Definitely a red flag and a scammer if they still use the word peasant in 2023.
To all women and men who are looking for a relationship over an online dating site. The second your prospect asks for so much as a nickel; ghost them PERMANENTLY! 👻
Gee, calling people peasants, refusing to pay his employees, and generally treats people like garbage...what a gem. And she thinks he's such a swell guy! Remember, you are the company you keep. This woman is just as vile as the scammer she fawns over.
It was made up--there were no 'employees' to insult/rip off
I like the clock collection on the wall behind her. Unfortunately she still doesn't know what time it is
But is she still correct twice a day?
Dammmmn! Wish I had thought of that. Lololol
Flavor Flav
It’s scam o’clock
Priceless.🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👌
Her attitude, while the experts are trying to help her, is one of a “know it all”!!! You might be trusting, but you’re also delusional! He gave you 10,000 reasons not to trust him and you ignored everyone of them!!
She really did have that energy of those types of ladies on Facebook that post "Throw me to the wolves and I'll come back leading the pack" memes
She didn't come across bad at all though. I'm not sure where you got that.
I thought her responses were extremely reasonable. And I'm usually VERY critical about the people in the vids here.
"I need plastic surgery to come see you."
"My boat got attacked by pirates."
"I got arrested."
"I' need money to charter the private jet to see you."
"My fingers got amputated, I can't text you without my fingers. Send money for surgery, Please."
The last one I just made up, but these men and women would actually believe it! At this point, they deserve the scams. They are so infuriating!
I’ve never been through a divorce like that, so maybe I’m not in a position to judge. But the amount of red flags she had to ignore is truly impressive
I mean to be scammed like this you have to be blind to pretty much every red flag in the book to begin with, but the thing about narcissists is they can be the exact person you want them to be until they get you in a situation where you can't leave them. That's when they let down the mask, they become a totally different person. But by that point you're so physically, emotionally, and sometimes legally involved with them, it's impossible to just walk away.
I've been around my fair share of men and women like that, so I can't blame her for not realizing who she was marrying, especially without knowing the full story. But the scammer, come on, idk how people keep falling for this garbage 😔
@@SullivancohenI agree with you. Some bad people like narcissists put on a good facade until you're hooked. She did have the sense to kick him out after 12 months of marriage.
I had a good friend who was wonderful, I even went on a road trip with her and more. But when I went to stay with her when I moved to her city, I discovered she was a textbook narcissist monster and worse.
@@Sullivancohen Not all scammers are narcissists. Why is everyone using that word and throwing it around like it describes 1/2 the people on the planet when in reality very few people truly have the disorder. They didn’t reveal much to her about the person who actually took her money, but at best we only know they were a romance scammer, probably did it for a living, a fraud, a thief, a liar and an opportunist. You do realize a person can be ALL of those things and still not be a narcissist. 🤦🏽♀️
It’s often easy to convince people of what they desperately want. When we really want something….we can be vulnerable and fail to question as we normally would.
What’s so hard about setting your dating filters to someone in your state or at least in the same country as you?? The second the person says they are “overseas”, you should block them.
Why would she want to be with someone that is so condescending to others? And doesn't pay his bills? And gets arrested? It is very sad to be that lonely.
Never happened--that was his elaborate tale of lies
It should be mandatory to watch at least 1 of these videos before you’re allowed to sign up to a dating website.
The scammers don’t even have to change their tactics, people keep falling for the same basic scam story’s over and over
I would like to think that would help but then I remember the lady who was told by the FBI she was getting scammed and money laundering. She still sent the scammer money😂 some people are beyond help.
@@circesoul2218 yes, once the attachment to the fake person has been created it seems to be very hard to break
Some people are so gullible that they get what they deserve. There is absolutely no way I would enter into a relationship with anyone online if we don't have proper voice or video chats straight from the outset. That would be massive red flag to me.
Kitboga made a episode on this see gullible see gull and bull bank Kitboga
You know what I do when I don't want to send people money? I don't send them money.
Wow!!!
The ignorance of average American is hilarious at this point 😂
I seriously think that's their motto how fake of a story I can make up and see if they will still send cash
I think it was Ted Bundy who basically said if you're alone and need help is better you pick someone before they pick you. I feel that's the same with online dating. If you do the picking you're in a better position than if you get picked.
Or stay alone.
Unfortunately not the case. These scammers tend to use high quality photos that portray themselves as well off so people like this are drawn to them either way since they’re too good for “normal” people.
Women are conditioned to have men show interest first, esp this generation. But yeah, that quote is spot on
@@mrjfrostbite this scammer didn't. Frank was not good looking.
Amen and hallelujah...@@Nickelodeon81
Why is it that none of these people realize that in their "conversations" that the scammer NEVER USES THEIR REAL NAME? I mean "babe"? "Snookums"??? ""Baby-boo"???? "My princess"?????? "My QUEEN"????
First of all vomit🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮. And secondly, IT'S A SCRIPT! THEY'VE GOT NO IDEA WHICH BAIT THEY'RE SPEAKING TO!
I mean. That’s true. But in a relationship, you almost never call someone by their first name (unless calling for them to get their attention in a busy area) 🤷♀️
This makes sense but they need to keep their script straight while they are going through motions, no?
I've watched numerous Catfished videos. I noticed one personality trait that most of these victims see' m to have in common; a rebellious nature. They all refuse to accept the guidance of the real people in their lives who genuinely care about them. Isn't the USA a great country where even people on disability can manage to send 50K to random electrons they find on the internet.
I don't have a spare 50k lurking around and I work!
Ikr?! I always wonder where these people get all that money, especially when they are retired or disabled. I guess the older ones have a house they can sell for a lot of money, but still.
Amother thing is massive double chins.

These stories these scammers come up with are so left field. I can’t believe people fall for them
It's like some religions..the more unbellievable the story the harder that gullible ppl will fall for it. They will defend the bs to the death.
It's like a test to find out how much they can get. If the marks don't listen to their gut or even simple logic, the scammers know they have their claws in deep. It's like those scam emails with typos, they're weeding out smart, attentive people - they want idiots who don't pay attention and who believe what they want to be true. ("Your a WINNER!")
....someone at the hotel put drugs in his bag....
Does it happen? Sure.
Can it happen? Yes.
But what are the odds?
My five y.o. Nephew would question these outlandish stories and he still sucks his thumb.
Right
I am opposite of her. I trust no one. You have to earn my trust and most people never do.
I don’t think she’s stupid. Just in a bad place emotionally and the scammer pounced on it. Also she said she’d had a stroke. That may have affected her judgement, or scared her… no one wants to be alone when they have serious health issues.
She's a 47; a 4 that's thinks she's a 7. Frank giving her attention bolstered her delusion, and she would pay anything to keep the delusion going. She threw away 50K because she just could face the fact that's she's a 4.
I agree. People can be so lonely that they see what they want in these situations. I hope she can truly heal from both this and her marriage.
Nope. she is plain stupid. It's often. No need to look for an excuse for her.
I'm glad to see some compassion for her. The comments are being really mean and she didn't seem to deserve it.
Seeing actual compassion for another human being in the comments is a breathe of fresh air.
I’m only 5:30 in and she thinks it’s perfectly acceptable to date a guy who calls workers peasants and treats people like they’re dirt. She deserves that shit if she’s fine with someone being so degrading.
Right, I could NEVER fall in love with someone who looked down on others like that!!
@@repentjesusiscomingsoon1529 Exactly!!
She didn’t say it was acceptable.
@@Davidpostingshid She didn´t say it´s acceptable, but she accepted the guy with such an attitudes. What means she is totally fine with it.
Exactly what I was thinking. Wouldn't the average person find that to be a red flag?
Im just not capable of comprehending how these people can work a dating website but cant drop a photo into a google image search. Blows my f'n mind.
They are double thinkers. They already know they are fake but they would rather pretend they might not be. Proving they are fake ruins their fun.
I’m sure deep down 99% of these people know full well they are being scammed. They continue as it’s almost like a type of therapy, they are lonely and prepared to pay for someone to talk too, someone to make their lives more interesting, someone to provide an image of love. It’s sad but intentional.
They'd be better hiring a companion in person tbh.
It's sort of therapy after a nightmare marriage with a narcissist who destroyed her self-esteem. Unresolved childhood trauma in the background.
The scammer boosts their ego's. The guy is a 7, she a 4. Him being interested in her, she can believe she's a 7. Boom. The bad thing about women, they aren't honest with each other - guys will tell each other they're below average, fat etc. etc. but women will tell each other they're gorgeous even when they're 350 lbs gargoyles.
I'm lonely and I would NEVER fall for this crap, lol
@@ChrisAndCats they are better going to an animal rescue for a dog or cat. It is also a possibility that they will meet a kindred spirit when out dog walking.
For someone who was treated so awfully by her ex, she seemed so trusting of someone she’d never met. How will she repay people and regain her life?
"treated so awfully by her ex"
according to someone who threw $50,000 at an implausible scammer.
After four years she did pay for a service..texting and communicating every day is a lot of time the other person spent talking to her. She was paying for companionship…
