Great info Nat, makes fishing for a dummy like me easier. I appreciate you.
Thanks so much for your support! I really appreciate it.

Another great video! Like others are saying, winter is a perfect time to learn some new knots!
Definitely!
Great video Nat! Enjoyed watching this. Some good info buddy that will help folks!
Thanks!
Knot what I expected! Excellent video
Haha thanks!
That’s Incredibly Awesome! Have a great weekend! Cheers!
Thanks for the comment 🙂
man! i had to install additional tv in my tackle store for this informative video
Haha that's great to hear!
Maybe a knot video for us sight challenged people? That’s my biggest struggle at times.
Are you referring a knot demonstration video with thick line (easy to see), or a video about knots that are easy to tie despite poor vision?
@@FishingwithNat demonstration video of recommended knots that perform well and are easy to tie despite poor vision.
I tend to tie a Palomar knot a lot on hooks and a non-slip loop knot with tag end towards lure on crank baits. Knowing some others may be helpful.
And your videos are excellent, to the point and no BS!
@@philproebsting6526 Thanks for the clarification and the feedback!
I should probably practice these during the winter
Winter is a perfect time to practice knots
Great tips!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for the feedback.
Btw you should make a video comparing various different soft plastics, they are some of the most versatile and largest category of lures.
Absolutely. And fairly inexpensive too. What are you thinking for the comparison? Underwater action performance? Fish-catching performance? Price?
Hi Nat, do you have plans to make videos about rigs? For example, tutorial about Carolina Rig, Texas Rig, and Drop Shot rig. I'm sure it would be great!
Yes, probably all of those this summer
awesome! looking forward to the videos!@@FishingwithNat
@@Justin-zw1hx Thanks for the suggestions
Love your videos Nat. Are you into fly fishing by any chance? Would love to see you make videos on fly fishing
I've done it a couple of times but not in a long time. Would like to get back into it someday.
@@FishingwithNat That's awesome to hear! If you do get back into it one day, I would love to see you make videos on it. Your style of video is just so refreshing, I absolutely love your content.
Much love from Canada!
@@coldhands00 Maybe I'll give it another go some time. I got to fly-fish the Yellowstone River in Yellowstone National Park - that was very cool. Even caught my first cutthroat that day!
FG knot is damn near impossible with 12lb braid to 2lb mono for an ultralight set up. I use the 6 loop surgeon knot for that. Easy and simple.
Thanks for the feedback
@@FishingwithNat Yessir, didn't mean no hate or shade, just saying what worked for me. I think it's just cause the 2lb mono is really hard for the braid to catch and coil on, haven't been able to get that first coil to set properly or the rest to continue the right direction. Anywho keep pumping out the content. The recent snap and swivel video helped a ton. Fish on my guy 🤙🏾
@@ivorykimble None taken - I appreciate the discussion. 2lb leader is super thin!
Good advice here. IMO guys put too much emphasis on a knot's strength, when a much easier knot to tie may be 5% weaker? I'll tie that easy knot every time!
Convenience is a big factor for sure. Sometimes I just want to get my gloves back on ASAP and I'll go for a faster knot because that's the most important thing at the moment!
Alberto knot for my leaders and fisherman’s knot for everything else hasn’t let me down yet
Sounds good. I like the fisherman's knot but not so much for thick lines, as mentioned in the video. I'll pick another one for those cases.
Hey Nat, I’m using 45lbs braid 3.0 and 40lbs fluoro leader, which knot should I use for tying leader and braid?
Also what knot should I use for connecting to lures, I usually do Triline but they kind of doesnt really tighten down, that good.
For heavy line like that, I'd go with a Uni knot or San Diego jam knot to your lure and a Double uni or blood knot to connect your lines together. Try them all out and see which ones you like best.
@@FishingwithNat You mean the modified uni or the normal uni knot
Also I used to use FG knot on leader and braid connection, it’s still fine right?
Maybe you can try making a test, using 10lbs braid and 10lbs leader and tie all of the braid and leader connection knot and see which is the best. And then switch to 40 lbs braid 40 lbs leader do the same thing and see
@@trongvo9762 with 45lb braid, you should be fine with either a standard Uni or a modified Uni. The modified Uni would be better. The FG is a great knot. The alberto knot is faster and easier in my opinion, but both are great knots. I like your idea for a test - I'll jot that down on my list.
@@FishingwithNat thanks for helping Nat
@@trongvo9762 Happy to help!
What’s the best lures for bass fishing right now ?
Generally, you're going to have the best luck with slower, smaller baits in cold water. Suspending jerkbaits, small jigs, dropshot rigs, Ned rigs, and Neko rigs would be good choices. Work them slow so the bass don't have to work too hard.
@@FishingwithNat thanks means a lot
What are some lures you'd recomend for bluegill at this time?
That depends where you're located. In my area, we'd be talking about drilling a hole in the ice for bluegills and using tiny tungsten jigs, but that's not the case everywhere.
Well over here there's no ice and the water temp is around 5-10 C
@@jurassictiger4397 In that case, I'd recommend good old worms for smaller bluegills. For the big ones, a small hair jig or a jig with a small plastic mayfly or minnow gets the job done well. Ultralight crankbaits can be very effective too but that's more when the water is warmer.
Thanks for the advice , can't wait to try them
@@jurassictiger4397 Good luck!
What is a leader or litter you keep referring to?

@@jayinla228 Thank you
I have a question what is best lures for bass ⁉️
That's a surprisingly complicated question. The answer changes depending on season, weather conditions, forage, and even your experience level. Bass are generalist predators so they will strike a wide variety of baits, but the best bait for a particular day can change a ton depending on the things I mentioned above.
@@FishingwithNat I really appreciate it for answering my question thank you
