This is one of THE BEST instructionss I have seen on fishing knots. I wish I had seen this one year ago when I was starting out. This should be the first and probably only video anyone new to fishing should see. Music was not my usual taste, but somehow actually added to the learning experience... helped focus. THANK YOU SO MUCH
The improved clinch knot is only one I learnt as a kid, but now I'm older and fishing alot. I've lost 3 big fish in a week from the swivel up. Poor fish now swimming with hooks. Rigging up today and trying new knots I notice the clinch knot above the swivel was loose. I don't know what's happening but time for some new knots. Thanks for the video!
I just started fishing again after 3 years and your videos show very clearly how to tie these knots. Also, I really appreciate the video with knots for eyeless hooks. It was the only one I found online that shows all these variations. All I knew before was the Uni knot and the Blood knot. I could get by with those but knowing more is always good. Really nice work.
This is by far the best video I have seen, We use this video in our fishing club classes each year, Love the music very relaxing makes teaching much much easier.
I appreciate this. Using that type of string, the lighting and the slow pace made it easy to follow. I’ve looked at tons of videos for help, but you were spot on. Thanks so much.
It is very clear and easy, but I wonder which one is strongest .Something fishing line was cuted on hook eye when I got fishing, I always doubted knot or line quality, please recommend one , thank you
Improved clinch is good for thinner lines like 10lbs and below while a regular clinch knot never failed me. I like the palomar knot too its easy and quick to tie.
Great job on the video sir! You can master one and use it for everything the rest of your life and maybe pass down to a beginner kiddo fisherman. I personally think the Palomar (my all time favorite) and Trilene Knot are the better ones because they run the line through the hook or whatever you want to tie it to TWICE, which makes it stronger. You'll bust the line before you bust the knot. Cheers!
Sub and notification bell from me Blueparay. Everything you show is so clear. Most videos that I have watched on knots seem to lose focus or go out of the camera shot right at the critical point of bringing it all together. I also like how you focus on the other fingers on your hands and how they help keep control of the line when making these knots. That small bit of information is a game changer for me.
Got any recommendations for knots that will "bite" on itself and break easily? Just curious for fishing in rocky areas, just looking for a lazier method than using a lower test line on the weight.
Wish i found this video years ago been struggling with these knots from other videos now i've learnt 2 knots in 5 minutes well happy didnt even get to the end of the vid lol
Very nice video. Well laid out, clear and easy to follow and good quality. My only tip is that I do not think your San Diego Jam is quite right, other than that great video thanks for sharing!
For the San Diego Jam, the tag end needs to go between the two lines at the bottom on the last turn. Very minor alteration from your video, but it makes a big difference in the strength of the knot!
The palomar is great. But you need a backup knot for big lures with treble hooks or tying on anything large (like a pre-made rig), as it is too difficult to pass the tag loop over everything to finish the knot. Another issue is that with certain braid, the palomar knot can slip under high tension. It is best to use the double-double palomar knot for braid. It's just like the palomar, but you originally pass the tag loop through the eye of the hook twice instead of once, AND, you use a double overhand knot instead of a single overhand knot. This variation has shown in tests to beat out all other variations of the palomar knot. I recommend knowing the palomar and the Berkley Braid Knot. The Berkley Braid Knot is very strong and cinches down easily not causing any excess heat on the line due to friction. Imagine the San Diego Jam Knot in this video, but the line is doubled up. Tie it the same way, but at the end you pass the tag end (loop in this case) through the loop that is on the eye of the hook, instead of going through the loop farthest away from the hook. Although the Berkley Braid Knot calls for the line to be doubled, you can also use a single version of this knot on monofilament and fluorocarbon. I've been using it for many years (along with the palomar) and it works excellently. The Palomar and BBK knots are EXTREMELY STRONG and easy to tie. But you need to have a way to tie braid to fluorocarbon leader. I use the modified Albright knot known as the Alberto knot. The FG knot is slightly stronger, but the Alberto knot is much easier for me to tie in the field. Lastly, you want to have a knot to tie your line back together if it breaks or you have to cut out a big tangle and don't want to throw a bunch of line away. In this case were the line diameters are equal, I would recommend a uni to uni or blood knot. Those 4 knots will serve all your needs. But remember the double double palomar and try the single version of the BBK on monofilament or fluorocarbon. Happy fishing.
Michael H trust me. It’s quick and easy. I use it on braid, mono, flouro. HAS NOT failed me once. The easiest way I do it is, pull tag end through lure, create the first loop with Index finger and thumb (I use my left hand) then using the weight of the lure give slight momentum to either side ( I go counter clockwise )similar to a pendulum swinging on a rope and with my left hand I hold tag end and create the wraps that way. Going around the lure while it spins. 4-5 wraps around and then pull through the first loop you created. Boom. Done. I hope that makes sense.
This is great! How do you determine what know to use? So they all have different applications and different strengths? Thanks for any info you can provide...
Palomar is about 95-97 % in mono line. Uni knot is second. I only use those on lures and hooks. I use the Clinch knot (not the Improved Clinch) for fly fishing.
If using braided line, which is more prone to slipping, use the Double Palomar knot. It develops more friction and might even be slightly stronger. Simply double the loops for the overhand knot section. Always lubricate your knots before pulling hard on the line.

The knot selection are on point. Anyone can do either of those knots with out thinking about the complexity. Thanks
This is by far the best video I have seen, We use this video in our fishing club classes each year, Love the music very relaxing makes teaching much much easier.
Nice that he does slow version and normal “real time” speed
I actually found the music to be a great compliment to a relaxing video. Thanks for the help🤙🤙
your knot tying is very clear and instructive! background music is soft and relaxing! thanks
This isi Dayak traditional music
This is the best video on how to tie knot, and I find uni knot is best for braid line 👍
One of the best tutorials on YT.....MUST SEE !!!
Thank You.
Thanks for sharing, ignore the people that complaining about the music, they don’t know how to be thankful.

Awesome video as always! I like your knot tying videos better than all others. Thank you!
thanks 😁👍
Thanks for keeping your video uploaded, I appreciate this 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for taking the time to make this vlog ..... appreciate it . Lost a few expensive lures due to crap knots I tied beforehand 10/10
Came for the knots, stayed for the tune. Awesome vid.... straight up art.
thanks for a great video. I have struggled endlessly trying to join 2 lines. I watched you doing it and got it right first time. Thanks again.
It's funny how all good knots just seem like inversions of themselves. Lol great video!!👍🔥
Beautifull knott👍 one hobby from Indonesia 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🙏🤝🤝🤝🤝

The best knot video ever!!! Thanks, Fish On!
Great video man. These 5 are all you need. Like the music.

Thanks for Nice n Easy Knots.

I already knew a couple of the knots but I thank you for learning the others sir
excellent! Loved the color coding and the zoom-in video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 👍
Kereeen bgt bro.. Sambil dengerin lagunya 👍👍👍👍
Nice video but what about fluorocarbon/monofilament lines? Which knots should we use ?
I've been following sea vee for a while. to see one in action was absolutely awesome
Thanks you so much sir I like your channel good iam happy
Good Idea guy I support your channel.
Got any recommendations for knots that will "bite" on itself and break easily? Just curious for fishing in rocky areas, just looking for a lazier method than using a lower test line on the weight.
Thank you for the video, I've never figured out how to connect two lines together properly. I've got them to hold but not that pretty.
Your knot tying expertise is exceptional..Where can we buy pliers like yours? TU
Those pliers are fire
Buy a boomerang cutter they're really nice $12 I think you will like it. 👍
Is the San Diego Jam Knot the same thing as a Yucatan Knot? Looks very much alike !!
IMHO the best video for these knots by far
請問這綁法就不會脱鈎嗎,因為我常一半鈎子跟料全部送去大海裹
เงื่อนสวยทนรับแรงปลาได้ดีไหมคับ
My dad taught me the Uni Knot more than 50 years ago. I didn't know there were any other fishing knots.
The Palomar knot is stronger than the Uni. 97% efficiency!
I love ur background song, it's like Iban traditional song ☺️
i never knew there was so many type of different knots. also this person could be a hand model too lol
Wish i found this video years ago been struggling with these knots from other videos now i've learnt 2 knots in 5 minutes well happy didnt even get to the end of the vid lol
Im pretty new to fishing. This video was nice and Clear. Thank you so much 🤙

Great video!!! I can finally tie some solid knots! Thank you again for the video!!
OMG, all my life I have been doing a palomar knot!!!, I just make a big eye!!! then I use the formed loop to tie the swiels or jigs!!, ultra fast!!
Thanks for this. Some really useful knots to know. Now if I can just REMEMBER them when I go fishing......
If you can only remember one, remember the Palomar. Good knot and you can tie it in the middle of a line, without a tag end. Can come in handy.
@@matthbva OK. Thanks.

If I could only have two I'd probably go UNI and LOOP but the Palomar is crazy strong.
Again Thanks
Very Nice Vedio n Knots
Good tutorial would add that lubing knot as you tighten helps .
Fantastic knots but where to get those pliers/ scissiors/ crimp tool??

Sure, no problen
Paling jos pokokke, gambare resik mantap
Cool way to show the knots...
Сам пользуюсь третьим, а больше всех понравился первый!
Great video and illustration! Thanks bradha!
Gotta have a loop knot if you're fishing. Palomar, UNI, and loop knot and you're good to go. IMHO of course.
Nice video! Thanks.
Very easy to follow - thanks
Brilliant Video
So what is the strongest one to use out of these??
Thanks bro, saya suka dengan alunan musiknya bikin adem pikiran, btw itu musik apa?
Fantatic.
All you need to add is the figure of 8 loop knot.
Nice video.
Great video, very plain and easy to watch. Just subbed you.
what is the name of song? sir. I love this clip
Good way of demonstration thanks
I will try the SanDiego Jam Knot for something different, thanks a lot for the video.

Do not use this one..He forgat to use buttom loop..but as normaly its so good and easy knot with palomar with almost % 96 strenght as lines itself..
Great video and very clear guides.
thanks
Good demo. What song is this?
Awesome vid and great tunes! What is the song name?
thanks for a great video,
Great Job👍
This is great! How do you determine what know to use? So they all have different applications and different strengths? Thanks for any info you can provide...
uni on braid, and everything els on monofilliment
Simple but hard, very good !!!

Thank you! Do you know which knot is the strongest, in order?

@@jamescooper2618 Thanks, I also use the Palomar, I fish for GT's,. Usually 100# test leader to swivel and split ring to lure.
If using braided line, which is more prone to slipping, use the Double Palomar knot. It develops more friction and might even be slightly stronger. Simply double the loops for the overhand knot section.
Always lubricate your knots before pulling hard on the line.
