Amcrest 1046EW-AI Setting up Face Detection

This is setting up Face Detection in a Amcrest AI Camera. I wanted to show some info that I think some people might be overlooking when they are setting up the camera to Detect faces. The issue might not be as bad with just the camera however if you connect the camera to a AI NVR like my 4216E-AI, Setup the camera using the NVR's setup page you will miss this what I feel is important setup step to get good Detection without capturing Trees or even a house and have it give you details of the person when there isn't one.. So you would need to setup the camera on the Camera and then install it in the NVR to get the right Detection..

Is it possible to stop insects triggering the Camera?

You would need to find a Camera that offers Real SMD access. And or use of another AI camera if your able to use trip wire or intrusion. Then you would want to setup for the Area. Like in my case Person there is no Vehicle back there and not really easy to get one back there either even a Riding mower or ATV would bring up Person However if it has some other options then the other might work along with Person. Withing a Night Color and Night IR camera the other way to keep the Bugs from tripping the cameras motion is using a IR Blaster or White Light that is some distance away from your cameras lens and is pointing into the FOV of the cameras ROI.(Region Of Interest) and FOV= Feild of View...

I can get the face detection working fine in some aspects. I get logs of face detections and push notifications as well. I can even use the face recognition smart search with a small database of pics and it will return video clips that match. HOWEVER if I try to do a smart search for the face detection events it says there are none and it doesn't have any faces with attributes while searching that way. In the alarm log the face detection events don't allow playback even though ive got face detection events set to record the channel that flags the event. Ive got snapshots enabled on face detection and normal motion events as well. Im using a 4216 AI nvr with one of the 8mp AI cameras and the ad110 doorbell camera. Both are using the nvr for ai, I've tried using tbe cameras AI on tbe 8mp ai camera. Any ideas of what I may have missed ?

Ok so there is alot there. Are you trying to use the 4216 with the 1046 and the 8mp AI camera and AD110 with the 4216 AI onboard at the same time as trying to use the Face Detection/Recognition system? One of the sad things about these systems is they are one kind of format at a time.. So if you want Face then you have to use that, If you want IVS then you have to use that. Now don't get me wrong I have been able to use them both at the same time once or twice however it was not very stable and the system gets all bent out of shape after about a month. So my NVR is a 4216E-AI, I have right now a 8mp V2 that has built in Tripwire, and Intrusion, I have Ad410 that I use with Human detection that gives a IVS rule, I have 2 Dahua Trip and Intr cameras and a 8mp dahua AI camera with all kinds of junk that I never use, I again have stayed with the IVS format. The 1046EW-AI and my 8mp Dahua are most advanced cameras. Out of 16ch I have a total of 4 that are not IVS. That is using the IVS 4 channels offered by the NVR and the rest are cameras with IVS. My Ch3 is from my 7108-AI DVR that I am using SMD feature, Only issue with me is that my Ch3 while I do get Push (When working) with images the NVR won't record any images for that channel because the 7108 is using SMD and not normal motion so it fails to capture and save images on the 4216. I do use my NVR in AI layout for Display. (Meaning that I have a bar on the right that displays my IVS) I can playback from there and I can playback from doing IVS search in playback. I will have to setup my 1046EW-AI camera again in the front, I did move from front to back because it bothered someone but loads of things changed since then and they don't mind the cameras so much now. Oddly there was no face detection yesterday even though I was back there mowing the lawn and do have motion events just no face.. Right now I have it Stand alone setup for face, recording full time on a none AI NVR my 4116E-HS.
