Yes there can be issues with the Battery that is used to keep the camera going while the button is pressed. However not everyone will have such a condition because not everyone has the camera in same location, same heat issues and other factors. If you have a Dead unit that requires the camera to be taken apart then you could use a Hot Air setup. However unless you have a High Dollar unit with the right air to heat and sized tip for size of area being worked. I would just use a good quality soldering iron if you have one. Again with the right Tip and a little extra added solder the fuse will come right off.. Things needed, Solder iron, Solder 60/40 or 63/37, solder wick and some quality flux. It will be easy to remove and add back...

Sorry to hear that, What is going on? Maybe having some issues that I have had and can help with what I did to get around the issue. I will tell you that so far the camera has only lasted 2 months before the camera fails and I have to reset back to factory for it to work again for another couple of months.. No mater what little I change.

@gruchaz remove preset 1 and make sure not to use preset 1 then the camera will stay where you put it. If you setup preset 1 it will return there after 30sec

Thank you for the Comment. You are right I guess without knowing the context of the video it seems little miss leading. However when I made this video it was because I seen another video where they were promoting color cameras were better at night because you won't see the IR flashes like you will in B/W cameras at night *By the way only if IR is even turned on* the video was trying to say that Color night cameras were better because of the ability not to show flash, when really it was just a well lit place with out the Cameras LED turned on. I mean I have a Color Night camera that don't have any LED's of any type.. N45EF63. So I know what it looks like with them on or off and just IRKS me when people try to push lies that will just in the end upset someone when they don't get the same results out of the box.. I guess my video was also to show it isn't some type of special new tech. MY 10x TVI is from 2016 or 2017.

Hello and thank you for the comment. Personally it is an older Amcrest 20x PTZ camera and they have some better ones out today. However this camera is an Amcrest 850EB PTZ fulling listed as a IP2M-850EB. There are some newer ones that have same type lenses and same quality of picture. The IP2M-858W is a 2mp 25x zoom camera. The IP2M-853EW is a 12x time zoom PTZ camera. Then even the newer ones with better updated firmware the IP2M-863EW is a Ai camera with same image quality at 25x zoom. Now of you are trying to install this camera in an area that is close to other buildings without the need to see behind or you want it in a Fixed position Amcrest does offer some fixed dome and bullet style zoom cameras as well that are not as costly as a Full on PTZ camera.. There are many reasons that a PTZ can be a great camera in any area of a home or business..

excellent description! I already saw a new one on eBay, it doesn't cost more than 500 to 600 dollars. I think it will be my future option. But I live in a first floor place and I think I will get a 5 mp dual lens camera to see my forehead with that I do it for now because for now my face is for me. but good camera despite being old. Well to be honest it isn't the Skunks that I am trying feed, However they are wildlife that are on earth as I am. So if they happen by and take a little from the Birds feeding box then I have no issues with it. Even after one of the Skunks around sprayed one of my Pups I have no ill will towards any of them. The back yard has seen, Bear, Deer, Skunks, Racoons, Dogs, Cats, Squirrels, Rabbits, Opossum, Mice and the intended beautiful creatures (Birds) Even with seeing a cat catch one of my Doves (I say my because she was nice enough to have 2 filled nest of 4 on my second floor window sill) Even this year the male offering to a second mate that I posted this year using the site with her being snatched from the nest one night both years 2 clutches were brought to fledglings with him finding a surrogate female to finish the second clutch to fledglings I feel blessed to have shared the time and just enjoy seeing the wildlife. It does hurt that I have to hear him the rest of the season calling for a new mate. But honored he has picked this area. As of now in my area I have even in December 5 different bird types that are at the bird boxes and I keep feeding them where normally I would have stopped when most others have gone south. Even have Hawkes that come and take Snakes off the property. Don't really like the Cats killing the Rabbits or the bird or 2 they might catch but happy to see when they keep the Mice away for the most part. Seeing there is no way to keep cats out as they are Free Roam animal so I deal with them as such even if I don't like the fact that they may harm the wildlife I enjoy and my feelings if they do so. I don't promote them to come to my yard and do have audio cameras that I will try to shoo it away if they stay around to long when I know the birds want to come get food. Most times the cat just looks at the camera and ignores me. And sometimes they will move on to another space to try and catch birds. If they don't leave after an hour I will go out to the shed and it moves on until another day lol..

In short, The food is bird seed that has peanuts, corn sunflower with other types of seeds as well. I also add in extra in shell peanuts for the Blue Jays and Squirrels. Every once in a while I will add in the mix some in shell Almonds as well.

I remember the doves! That story was so touching, I was glad you posted it. Sounds like you have quite a menagerie there, you should post more videos of the wee beasties. I love all animals, but have a special fondness for birds and cats - the irony of that isn't lost on me. I have a pair of Eurasian collared doves who build a nest in the bracket of the neighbor's satellite dish every year. I think I made a video of it. It's right outside my kitchen window and I spend hours watching them, time well spent I might add. We have several rookeries in the trees behind our walled garden and they are full of rooks and jackdaws - corvids are my favorite birds, such fun and they love to interact with people!

Please See the MORE for all info needed, Hello and sorry for the delay in reply. I personally don't understand why I didn't get a notice that I was even given a Comment. So to answer if you have not already figured it out. When you go to your app where your NVR is. When you click on the Dot next to the NVR yes it will open all installed cameras or in some cases all channels filled or not. Now I don't know what NVR 32 channel you have but the best way to do this and I can tell you that I have more then 32 devices between many different formats be it DVR/NVR or cameras. So for me When I load up AVP the Live view pops up with what I have last asked to view. So lets say I click on the 4216E-AI, Choose 12 of them channels, then I click on my AMDV8M16-H5 DVR that has 11 channels active but only want to view 9 of them so I click them channels, Then I have my 4116E-HS and only want to view 11 of them, Then I click on my 7108-AI DVR and have 4 I want to view and so on. Rather then click on the O for the whole device just click on the NVR and choose the cameras you want to view. Please check out this post on the Amcrest Forum I just made to show you a picture of me having more then 40 cameras loaded on my AVP. Hope this helps. @@revo2maxx thank you so much for this and so one of the ways or I think potentially the easiest ways for me to handle this has been to Simply set and save favorite views so instead of having an accident where myself or my wife when we're not even at the house accidentally hit zero Channel or 01 Channel and then it messes everything up and we have to reset the graphical user interface locally with the proper grid again and it's on stupid 17 through 32 Channel locally on all the monitors and the fact that you just want to view certain set of cameras or just actually all the slots that are filled with an actual device you have to do it one by one it's pretty easy to mess up and of course if you load the default which is everything including the zero and 01 Channel it's just a mess so there's a kind of failsafe to be more precautious we just are being very diligent and only using preset favorite views and not actually going in to anything else if we're not local. I do certainly agree if you're just closing out and then opening back up of course I have the setting on last View and that does work the problem is when I come back in and I want to change something or look at a different View or different set of cameras or change the NVR location that I'm looking at and then later change back, hence fav views only when remote is a solution I think is a good one.

Thank you for the Comment & Questions, So I am not sure what or why things are going as you are talking about in your question. I can only make a guess at what might be going on. So I made a fast video on that and have uploaded it, set it as Unlisted so you can get to the Video with this LINK..ua-cam.com/video/gPXGqeo0-OY/v-deo.html So it is 3am when I made this video and might not be as clear as I could have been. So What I think might be happening is that someone on what ever device they are using has hit the Zero Channel and that is bringing up all the channels in the NVR if you have 2 of them like Zerochannel0 and Zerochannel1 it could be how it is messing up the GUI and then would need to load the GUI back to the Grid view you want locally. However if lets say as you mention 20 channels or all 32 channels are loading then it has to be clicked on the NVR 0 in your AVP app. You will want to uncheck that box and click the NVR's name and then click each of the cameras you want to list like I show in the Video. I click on the 4116E 0 in my listing. Then I again click it and it unchecks them all, Then I went back in and only clicked on the 3 channels I wanted to view at this time in my app.. When I close out of the app and bring it back up the AVP will load what I had checked when I closed it.

@@revo2maxx THANK YOU !! man you know what that's the thing that has to be what's happening the thing I do understand which drives me nuts is that in my opinion truly if there's only 16 cameras there should only be 16 channels so that it shouldn't even be possible in the first place for this silly channel zero and channel one that don't even exist to actually get checked or selected plus it doesn't make sense to be able to select channel 17 through 32 men on this particular NPR I only have 16 cameras so there's only 16 channels.... It would be great if there was some way to only actually have just the number of channels that there were cameras and nothing else but that way also you could just literally click the entire device and have it select all the available cameras and channels and then you would never even be able to have an issue nor would you have to sit there and click each individual camera 16 or 20 times or however many times you have cameras and accidentally...cuz this darn issue which still I cannot believe even with remote access and everything that I've tried on the local area network or off the network I cannot get back to change the view on all of our TV feeds around the property without actually someone physically being at the NVR directly connected to it with a mouse.... However I do you have to admit what you said is the thing that is causing it that was quick easy verification and you were totally OnPoint there and now I can start as how do I actually stopped it and make it not possible or if it ever does happen is there actually a way to fix it without physically being directly connected standing in front of the unit..??

Thanks for the Comment. No she was on the nest every night besides the 4th. I was little upset that she left them on the 4th with all that going on. But they were great and didn't have any issues on the nest. The night of the 5th and 6th she was there and all the other nights since her first night. First few nights she looked very scared. I was for her wondering if what took the momma was going to come back for another round I am glad no other issues. I am so happy they made it and has Fledged. Sorry about the Audio. I tried a different MIC to cut down on the back ground noise. I should have used some monitor headphones. Crazy thing is testing the MIC in Audacity it worked great.

Yes he returned however long he stays I think it will be for nothing because the eggs didn't have momma sitting to long. You can see he is sitting and he is calling for her and has been since his return. It was just days maybe 5 before the eggs would have hatched

In the past I did have some trip wires that I also ran for use with a PTZ and even with them setup and in area that would let more detection area the result was about the same at the Night time. In day time the Dahua and my TVI 2mp 10x zoom cameras have no issue picking up the cars and people as expected. The first 24 hour test there was only 18 missed in the DVR and only 1 missed in the Dahua in that same 24 hours. Right now my Dove that uses the nest behind my TVI camera has returned for her next Clutch so I can't check anymore I had to remove the new Amcrest camera so she can lay her eggs, So I removed my camera and will go to the area that I intend to use it.. Thought I would have a little more time, but seems like she is ready. Again thank you for the Comment.

Sorry I didn't get the message sooner. I am not sure why. I normally get all my comments from youtube but seems I am missing some of them. About the Battery. I am not sure. There is another person right now that has the Amcrest version of the doorbell with the same issue. They bought a new battery but will have to do some mods to make it work. So yes there is a battery very small 3.7v 200ma battery. How the system works normally is that you setup a Chime and that turns on the battery. If you don't turn on the use with a Indoor Chime then the battery isn't turned on and would die on button press. Also might be an issue with Wiring. Like if it detects a short in the system on button presses it might shut down as a way to protect it self. I am not 100% sure. Did you ever figure this out seeing you posted this question 3 months ago. Again sorry I just got it.

If you have the tools and the Ability to replace the fuse then yes the fuse can be replaced. However it is very small form factor and off the shelf soldering iron might do more harm then good. Using a Good Weller, Hakko or JBC soldering station with the right tip will get through anything. I have fixed a good few of these now and the more you take them apart the faster you get it done. First time I was able to take it apart and look over circuit to find the fault within 30min. Hardest part was taking it all apart seeing you have to remove all the PCB's from the case.

Hello, I am not sure if your using Droid or iOS? If the issue is with iOS it might be the device. If the issue is with Droid then there would be very little issue normally unless your trying to connect to a Remote NVR over IP. In that case you will want to make sure to use P2P for access connection. Also please note that sometimes depending on the Amcrest Device if you happen to put in the wrong password it is best to remove the device from the app and try again making sure to use right info. Also please note that if your trying to connect P2P and it isn't working you will want to look in your NVR's network under P2P and make sure that it shows it is Enabled. (Online)

@@revo2maxx okay so i plug in the ethernet to the data port on the nvr then power on and the hdd light and power light or lit but the net isn’t even though ethernet is plug in? am i doing something wrong?

@@dub_1k528 Ok, Sorry to hear that. I will admit that I personally own a Amcrest NVR from long ago that has been working well until this last summer when the Network side of the NVR stopped working now only the POE ports are working. So here are some things to look at, Start NVR. Once on, right click, main menu, then network, and double check that your network side isn't setup for a IP range that isn't in your current network range. LIke for mine it is 10.0.0.x so if like some of my NVR's when they come up started at 192.168.x.x and that will not connect to a network that isn't in that range. You could Click DHCP box and save. Let the IP come up and then uncheck and set to the ip you want by changing only the last number. So in my case my router would hand out like 10.0.0.24 and I changed to 10.0.0.218 seeing I don't use that IP anymore for a IP camera that is now on my NVR poe port..

@@dub_1k528 Also what is odd is that even though doing a search from the NVR GUI for cameras I can find them. when I try to connect to them that port don't work as I said only the POE ports. Also trying to connect to the NVR I can't make a connection to the WebUI. That brings me to the next thing. Try to connect to the IP of your NVR in your browser after you start your NVR. If you know the ip address bring up IE or Edge in IE tab and or Chrome depending on the type of computer your using. Put in a IP address for your NVR and if that IP address works then you know it is connected to your network. If your using P2P as I said you will want to make sure it is showing online. If not, try to put in the DNS as 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for the google ones that is what works for mine anyway if your out of the USA maybe try 1.1.1.1 for DNS that can be found in networking TCP/IP area of the NVR..

Yes most of my cameras that I connect to my POE NVR's are Amcrest in Flavor or Dahua. I do have some LTS and Hikvision that I use as well on my NVR's however they have to be connected using the normal network over ONVIF. So for Amcrest/Dahua cameras they can go on the POE ports. So can it be Connected yes. Is it as easy as connecting a Dahua or Amcrest no.. On my LTS that I want to connect to my POE NVR from Amcrest here is the steps I have to do. First setup your camera on your normal network, Then keep the camera setup for DHCP, Then using the NVR do a Search, You will find the camera and then connect to it. Then you will see it in your line up. However now you need to take the camera from the normal connection method on your local network and move to the POE port you had it connected to over the front. ( like on my 4116E-HS it has 8 ports 16ch. So I connect my LTS on Ch5, Then I move the connection to port 5 on the back of the NVR) I get a message that it is already in use do I want to still connect I say yes, I then get a message that the password is wrong because POE is trying to use admin admin, I am using the NVR's password, So I now click on NVR's main menu, then camera, then edit Ch5 password, after entering the password for the camera the camera loads using the POE port of the NVR.. IF you don't have a POE or POE+ Switch you can use 12v power at the camera to setup and get ready..

So I posted a fast picture of my 4116E-HS. you can see in it that on Port5 there is no SN or name like all my other Amcrest devices are listed. I also have my 1046EW-AI camera on this NVR in PORT 2 to show you also what it looks like when a Amcrest POE is connected. For instance I don’t know if I need a POE switch because the swan system I replaced was one piece with 8 ports for my six camera setup. I’ll try to follow your I structures to see if I can get video. @@gentlegiantfims Well something to keep in mind as well. Swan is a Infinova type system and might only work with their type systems. Also that can be said for the Hikvision and OEM systems as well. Like I have one from 2012 to 2015 and it only works on same Hikvision type products. Even logging into the cameras WebUI and setting up for different connection type from Digest to Basic still won't let me connect to my Amcrest device even over my Local Area network connection. Something to keep in mind with POE cameras, I would at least have a POE Injector or a small 5 or 8 port POE switch so that you can connect your camera to your local area network for trouble shooting and updates. Why? Well most times people don't have 12v or 24v power at the camera location and is why people use POE IP cameras. Then if something goes wrong, or want to install updates like for your LTS, then you can just pull the Connection from your NVR and plug into your Switch. Wait a minute and then you can access it with your computer over WebUI. Now Amcrest NVR's have most times built in Virtual Host and you can access a camera from the NVR's WebUI and the NVR will setup a IP with port number to access connected cameras however again a connection to local network is good for testing and updates just in case there is an issue using the Virtual host connections.

Hello and Thanks for watching and your Question. This was from the WebUI software built into the Amcrest IP cameras. This is from a AI camera using IE. Now as of June 2022 IE is no longer supported by Windows and will soon fall away form Win10 and other software that used it in the years past. The only devices by amcrest that won't have a WebUI like this would be the Smart Home Products. They are SH app only or NVR/RTSP use so one could use Blue-Iris or some other Onvif type software to access it and also Amcrest has ASP that can be DL from Amcrest website. It is a App for Desktops. So best results would be to setup Edge to work in IE mode for devices that still work in IE and use the WebUI that is built into the cameras. That is going to have the best use area in both Live View and Playback of footage. IT does work in Chrome and edge without using IE mode however there are some parts missing from the screens when doing so..

Thank you for your Comment. I am using a Dahua DVR in this video. I have both Amcrest and Dahua DVR/NVR's and have some with AI and with out. Personally I did try BI once I didn't like the idea that you pay and for the first year you get updates and then after that you have to keep paying if you want updates and I am not a very Trusting when it comes to 3rd party software. When you have to give them 3rd part software the SN, and password to the cameras for them to work and or even the IP and password the software updates with the SN either way there is just to much of a risk for me to have my systems setup like that.. In truth for me DVR's is best and most secure when it comes to 1 password for all connected cameras. Taking a non POE camera connection off the network someone now has access to the network. POE camera they take off they have access to all connected devices with same password if they didn't update them (Most people don't update connected POE) first thing I do when I make the connections is I go back and change all the password to one I want so someone would have to know what that is to gain access..

Interesting really that you bring this up. I did just have an issue that I thought was related to something that might have been wrong with my Device. I reset the unit, I then setup the system as normal. I went though and DL all my Logs to all the way back to the start. I know for the next few days the logs were there. I was looking over some things to setup another system to replace one of my older ones. After a couple of days I thought OK lets do another Reset, I have the system setup the way I want (Camera wise) so I Reset the system again. Setup all the cameras again and when I got to 15 and 16 I couldn't remember what one it was on Went to look and all the logs were now gone. Only thing I had done was another Reset and changed the info for date and time to reflect the new location of where I was sending the device. I know it wasn't just the reset because I have Reset it a good few times and all the logs were there for years. Also keep in mind if there is a issue with you clock battery (Some have to be Solder on) it can put your system back to 2000 and you won't be able to find your footage. Also Some don't go back to 2000 yet they will go to 2032... But yes with Dahua and Dahua OEM devices I have found some issues with DTS NTP and November things get all crazy. Less then a year old WD Purple I had to have WD replace this last Nov because of what I think is a DTS flaw from one of my Dahua IVS camera from 2020. Lucky the card has a 3 year warranty.

Wondering have you setup and or use Email for events? If you do are they still in 2022 sending start and end emails for 1 event? I mean I have a Dahua system that I normally just was using as a Set it and forget it. It has been working as expected for 2 years. However I thought ok Lets put Email on. One of the reason I stop was because of start and end events. Same, So I updated to 2021 FW for the device and still get 2 I mean is that just them being lazy. It was that way years ago with my OEM's as well however they have since like 2018 or 19 stop doing the 2 per event. It isn't cool going and looking at my email server to look over events and have to dig though 2000 emails for 1000 alerts lol. Then the ones that don't get image I think are just End yet some of them were start without images that is really main issue with so many emails. It is almost like they are trying to keep people from gets email alerts.. Also having to turn on HTTPS or some CERT dL I mean really lol..

So now if you say there is an issue maybe its worth posting such a video. I will do some tests on my side but it will take weeks before i can get this done so i am glad you were able to reply! @@revo2maxx i dont use the email alerts. Okay so double emailing is annoying. In South Africa there is a company that makes alarms and they have a mechanism to link the camera (Dahua) to their alarm and then when there is an event picked up by a sensor, not the camera though, the app pushes a notice to the user. This is more useful than emails imo. So most people use alarm systems here and then the app is more efficient in showing triggers. When the trigger happens it automatically stores the data (short video) of the event when the alarm sensor was triggered so you get to see the notice, the zone of your alarm where it occurred and then the video of the event.

@@ecologicaltime Understand Thanks for the Reply. Yeah well with Amcrest I get 1 email so that it good. Now normally I don't use email because I don't like to have footage stored on servers that I don't control, Like Cloud, Email or View websites that store footage from your events. (I like Push is faster also) However I do over time setup email for backup when I am in need of restoring my FTP server storage. So I thought well Amcrest don't get 2 emails anymore Dahua had to have fixed it by now too. 2 systems one with 2020 FW one with 2021 FW both still send 2 emails per alarm (Event) and what is odd one of them I have setup as Intrusion event and I get 2 alerts per event even though I have it setup for Enter (Enter and Exit I could understand) so I setup for Enter only and about every 20 alerts I get 10 that are double even same time stamp lol So while I was setting up I got a call had to run. I left it and went on my day. The next day I went to look and I had over 2000 emails lol.. At least with Push I get the Alert faster then email and setup is much easier then setting up email service..

You would need to find a Camera that offers Real SMD access. And or use of another AI camera if your able to use trip wire or intrusion. Then you would want to setup for the Area. Like in my case Person there is no Vehicle back there and not really easy to get one back there either even a Riding mower or ATV would bring up Person However if it has some other options then the other might work along with Person. Withing a Night Color and Night IR camera the other way to keep the Bugs from tripping the cameras motion is using a IR Blaster or White Light that is some distance away from your cameras lens and is pointing into the FOV of the cameras ROI.(Region Of Interest) and FOV= Feild of View...

Ok so there is alot there. Are you trying to use the 4216 with the 1046 and the 8mp AI camera and AD110 with the 4216 AI onboard at the same time as trying to use the Face Detection/Recognition system? One of the sad things about these systems is they are one kind of format at a time.. So if you want Face then you have to use that, If you want IVS then you have to use that. Now don't get me wrong I have been able to use them both at the same time once or twice however it was not very stable and the system gets all bent out of shape after about a month. So my NVR is a 4216E-AI, I have right now a 8mp V2 that has built in Tripwire, and Intrusion, I have Ad410 that I use with Human detection that gives a IVS rule, I have 2 Dahua Trip and Intr cameras and a 8mp dahua AI camera with all kinds of junk that I never use, I again have stayed with the IVS format. The 1046EW-AI and my 8mp Dahua are most advanced cameras. Out of 16ch I have a total of 4 that are not IVS. That is using the IVS 4 channels offered by the NVR and the rest are cameras with IVS. My Ch3 is from my 7108-AI DVR that I am using SMD feature, Only issue with me is that my Ch3 while I do get Push (When working) with images the NVR won't record any images for that channel because the 7108 is using SMD and not normal motion so it fails to capture and save images on the 4216. I do use my NVR in AI layout for Display. (Meaning that I have a bar on the right that displays my IVS) I can playback from there and I can playback from doing IVS search in playback. I will have to setup my 1046EW-AI camera again in the front, I did move from front to back because it bothered someone but loads of things changed since then and they don't mind the cameras so much now. Oddly there was no face detection yesterday even though I was back there mowing the lawn and do have motion events just no face.. Right now I have it Stand alone setup for face, recording full time on a none AI NVR my 4116E-HS.

It is one or the other feature same with IVS, won't work if you turn on SMD, face one or the other for all features. IVS however does have Vehicle and Human rules so if it was in an area that it was needed you could turn on the detection for one or the other and even both.

@@revo2maxx hi Revo2Maxx i can confirm that the password reset is the same on my Dahua 4216 and also a security breach. The second issue you demonstrated is probably also like yours, but i have to get access to the unit which i can do and test that as well. (I log in remotely to another location so i am not physically near the machines). I suggest you make your video public and with your permission i can also put a video showing this on my channel. I think in your video the QR code was shown at 11:10 which has your serial number. When you do post your video, i would remove this clip (you can do it using UA-cam tools so you dont have reupload)

About the SN, the QR code does have a bunch of data but I like to know who might have cracked it because when I look at the data it just a bunch of numbers and letters that don't look much like anything to me. I don't know how to remove anything out of a video and don't have edit software yet to blur out things like I see others do in their videos. Things on my todo list. This camera is a White light camera only. This camera offers no ir if it was in B/W mode at night. This camera also has no IR Cut filter so in B/W with a IR blaster it wouldn't help give light to see. Yes it has white lights it isn't something used to light a path its really just enough for camera to see. At a distance you only see the light won't know its coming from a camera. By the time you know the camera can see you perfectly. Cameras should be seen anyway. Rather detour a threat then make a report for loss or damages. Think like this, seeing a camera in plain sight before someone enters your property gives them time to turn away. Once on your property and let's say 10' to your bike or planter they see the camera by then it's to late they are committed to the crime they started.

@@revo2maxx fair enough, I was just curious. For what it's worth most IR LEDs on cameras are of a visible wavelength as well, they are easily seen from a few feet. Wouldn't be as obvious as white light though. I was thinking in the context of having one of these near the front door of a residence .. it may not be the look people are going for. @@karanahal No Problem. Understand about the looks of IR and White Lights. Just some people have this idea that keeping the camera hidden is best when in Reality having the camera seen has proven many times over the best. Even with IR. When there was Car Prowlers in my Neighborhood I noticed them a block away when my PTZ camera picked up motion and Pop up on my Screen. I looked and at first thought oh someone looking to see if they left something in their car however when I then seen someone with a flashlight walk by I knew something was up. Zoomed in and sure enough 3 people going through cars. Took them only 5 min to get on my street and at the Front of my Driveway when you can clearly see them change mind make huge turn and keep going up the street. I have another camera facing where they turned and the one that noticed pointed out what he seen to the others and why they didn't come down mine. Another time someone in middle of the day drove past I didn't think anything about it however driving past 60' to then back up to right in front of my Driveway I thought was odd. They Hop out of the Drivers seat and 2 step it to the back of the car, Clearly see them look at the camera. Odd thing was he started across street to my drive when started pacing wondering if it was a good idea or not Then jumps back in his car tries to back in persons drive across street to turn around couldn't because it has wall so they backed into mine where my LPR camera captured his plate lol. They can only see 3 of the 5 cameras on my Driveway from the road. 1 does faces and other is for Plates.

@@revo2maxx trust me I share your pov... I have a SD59225U ( along with two non- ptz cams) autotracking away on the front of my house, it's impossible to miss lol. My question was related to a residential installation I'm completing for a customer, I find a lot of folks still want their residential cams to be out of clear view, which I don't agree with from an efficacy perspective. It's hard even convincing people to mount front door cameras at no higher than 7 ft, they all seem to prefer them mounted under the soffits, which to me is lacking , as most footage from those cams will be the top of people's heads.

@@karanahal Well the good news for Door Cameras today is the invent of the Doorbell cameras. Even though they have been out much longer then people really know. However very few ever had them until the Ring came out. I waited and got different one. Then for testing I did have the Ring Pro for 6 months gave it away and upgraded to a 5mp one that I use now. Also works well with my AI NVR. Very nice SD camera. I do have 2 20x 2mp. Most of my other PTZ are older 960h or before even with 37x picture quality isn't as nice as yours. Sad thing is most people don't pay attention to things like DORI and even care about the quality of picture. Put it up and if it can see something that is all they care about. Trying to make sure someone has the Right Camera is the Best Idea from the Start. I think most people won't be happy and keep buying to find the right camera for the needs in time to come.

Hello, So remote view on the Phone app or on the system like IVMS? Either way my guess would be you may need to look at your Docs for your NVR and see what the Max playback is or what the Bandwidth is. Also on the phone app it could be an issue with Network speed either on your local network or off the internet.. also I hate to say it but there could also be issues with the cables that are being used. Ones from the camera to the NVR/SWITCH/ROUTER/OR all of them. For normal network 10 to 100 CCA is still bad idea, So all cables need to be Real good Copper cables non of that JUNK CCA. Really it is hard to say what or why something is acting up. I would look at the Specs as I was saying make sure your system can playback more. Just because you have a 16ch NVR dont mean that it will playback 16ch.. also some systems will playback 16ch of 1080P but then if you happen to have a lets say 4k machine and have 2 4k cameras if the system will only playback 1 then that is all you will get. A system like that someone should use the 8mp as a stand alone with a MSD and use the Recorder for all other cameras so it will playback as one wants..

So looking up your device, It is a 80Mbps outgoing and 160 incoming with 1ch 8mp 4ch 1080p in Encoding and playback It it will Sync 8ch's in a dual 4ch split from what the Docs say

Interesting. Well my 4116e-HS has a Reset button but trying to follow the manual or any DOC on the reset don't work. The Email that was setup with the NVR some 2 years ago is no longer active and now I can't get access to it anymore. Funny thing is I have as I said in the past a 2116-HS non POE as well. This one back some time ago I could not get the button to work. Come to find out the Docs for doing a reset was wrong. I found it was 15 seconds hold off while holding and keep holding for 15 seconds then power back on 1 second over or under have to do it again lol. Anyway I thought ok lets test the 2116-HS and see if I can reset it and sure enough as I said above it had no issue doing a reset. So now I have to figure out how to Reset my 4116.. I did test the button, When the system is running it has 3v I am guessing from the battery then when button is pressed it goes to 0 so it does work. Also checked at the Cap and it also has the same results. Issue is on the other side it leads to the bottom of the MB and well I am not ready to take it that far apart lol

Understood about theft. Good thing about these it would be easy to track down someone that would use it stolen. But outside of that just like anything with reset button could be stolen and used. These having SN and most times history of use by logs and other forms someone reporting these stolen like mine with 6tb hdd would make cost high enough to track down the clown that has it in use or someone that bought it from that clown. I remember one of my devices think from Hikvision where you can turn off reset button use even on that one I was like no better not lol

LOL counterfeits? Really? Sounds like your upset about something with Amcrest. The truth is Amcrest along with many other companies is a USA company that has Dahua Manufacture the products for Amcrest. IF you do a Mac address search for the Products that are Sold by Amcrest since 2016 they are Amcrest Mac Addresses.. 1 Step in the Direction of being better then some other companies. Take Annke for instance. If you ask them if Hikvision makes their products (They do by the way) Annke will say no they are their own company and make their own cameras and that is PURELY BS. Do a Mac Search for any product sold by Annke and it will come up to being owned by Hikvision.. Does that make them any lessor of a company no what does is the Lack Of Support, FW is what is released and you want something new buy something NEW and that is Purely BS... Amcrest supports most of the current line of Cameras and DVR/NVR's with Updated FW. I mean one of my NVR's a 2116-HS is older but still got the 2020 4.0 Firmware that took it to a new Level. Sure some of the JS FW has some issues but oh well. Just something we have to get used to. Amcrest has been way better then many other CCTV camera business I have bought from. There are some on the Hikvision side that won't even support Home users. Infact they try not to support anyone and seeing only sale to contractors they tell you to deal with them and that is something Amcrest has never done. Even if the product is no longer under warranty or even giving new FW they will still (Amcrest) will still offer support for as long as they are in Business.. I have some cameras that are newer then some of my Amcrest cameras from Annke and my some of my recorders ALL jUNK and ask for support and they just say oh well they no longer support the product buy something newer.. Kind of Sad. Again Amcrest has never acted that way. Sure they say 3rd party support is lower or not supported when I have an issue with one of my Non Amcrest camera on the Amcrest DVR.. But they still offer support as much as they can...

So it will depend on the Model you are using, Somethings to note, When you setup your FTP, you will also need to make sure that you make changes to other areas of the NVR. So like in one area if your Trying to do Snap shot you need to make sure that you enable them under the Camera, Encode snapshot area. Also trying to make it the Best Quality might not be a good setting either. I mean if your NVR is connected to a Fast Switch and your FTP is connected close to a fast switch then it could be ok. However if say your NVR is 150 from your Switch and your FTP server is 60 to 90 feet away it might be an issue if your network has a lot of Traffic on it. So keeping them under 30 feet away or less works well for me. I do have some that are much farther away and use a different FTP server that is closer. Also need to make sure that your Camera has Snap shots enabled if it is on newer FW. 2019 and up. Older didn't mater much either way on most of my cameras. Some were still a PITA.. One of the biggest mistakes is making a change say on a Friday, You see the change happened and think all is good However a few days later you go to look over your footage to find only Friday is working in the settings need to make sure to keep an eye on Day Of Week, as it will come up for the day your on you have to make drop down for all even if you had it setup for all last time it will only change the day your on if you don't make that change again to all..

Also need to make sure you work on a All channel or per channel bases. I can't seem to just pick 1 4 5 8 10 14 and make the setup for these channels I have to do them 1 at a time, or choose to do all channels like days. So that is another common area where mistakes can be made.

Also my 1051 and 841v3 are on a different Router and have a different IP address to my FTP server and I am still able to send the files to the FTP server so don't let anyone tell you at a Camera level FTP that you can't send past your Local Network because I am and have been doing it for over a year without an issue.

Thanks for watching, Funny thing is I have Chrome and can use Edge I just don't like Edge.. I should have said I prefer Chrome. Only issue is most of my Devices even ones that work with Chrome after a FW update are missing out of things I use when I use IE. Worse yet, I have a Annke DVR that is Chrome setup but the DVR won't let me View cameras on it even though Annke says it should. So last I heard and I hope it isn't any different. IE was going to end in 2025 with no more updates as of new. If that is how it goes I am good. I just hope Amcrest and Dahua fixes any of the missing things in Chrome. I mean like my indoor 841's with the new 2020 or 2019 FW, The camera will no longer 2 way Audio if you use on Chrome, However I can using IE..

Thought I would make a Fast Video of one of the Main Reasons I like IE over Chrome. ON my 1046EW-AI camera I can't see my Rules on the page in Chrome but I can in IE. So somewhere to look is log into the WebUI for the System, Then click on Configuration, Network, advanced, then in the top it could be under PT Cloud, or maybe Platform Access, In there you will want to make sure it is setup and it will have it with ONLINE if your Network settings are right.. Look in the Network settings for TCP/IP, and make sure that your system has a good DNS, Don't just use your routers Gateway you want to use something like in the USA 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. OR if in UK, 1.1.1.1 maybe.. Another things is some systems require you to install a View Key so you will want to make sure if yours does that you turn on the Key and access it to make sure that you don't forget the Key. If you do you can change it in the system either from NVR GUI or again using the WebUI..

@@valerydiffo9887 I am sorry but I have to ask. Do you have your Network Services turned on? Are you able to access the WebUI of the NVR by going to the NVR's local IP address? Sorry not sure if your at the site or if your working on things before you install at the site, If the later then there could be some issues later.. Anyway Make sure that your Network Services are turned on. In some devices it might be confused with HTTPS because they are not marked correctly. However HTTPS would be second option and HTTP Services is the first option most cases with Hikvision products. It is almost 3am my time, SO I am going to be going to bed. I will go to my Cabin and pick up 3 more machines that I have there. One is in use but I am using a different method of connection by Remote. I don't prefer it but because of the Service offered that was how I have it connected using a DDNS with NO-IP service was only option. I will bring it back and setup the 3 systems and sign up for the one I don't want to just see if I can get it to come online and see if there is anything that I needed.. My other 2 here, I have had them both online for a year without fail so I might have done something that I just don't remember. The other 3 that I will get tomorrow, I can do more testing with without worrying about messing up my current system lol

@@valerydiffo9887 So it is hard to say why your system is failing to connect. I know that The Product can be little Stingy when it comes to connections. So I Went and picked up my devices today and out of the 3 I did get 2 of them to connect. What is odd for me anyway is that on the Hik-Connect app one of my Devices said it needed Permission to access it. However It is NEW and there is no connection before mine, I even looked in another app that I can use with it and it wasn't in there. So I unbound it, Reset the device, and Set the system back up again. This time after making the change in the DNS I was able to get both systems on. About my 3rd Device, I tried to get around setting up an account and that device is from 2016 and just won't connect without going to a P2P Website that it is connected with and setting up an account. I will admit I did that back in 16 when I bought the device, I didn't like the feeling it gave me and I removed the P2P Option so there is still no access to that one and that is from a Hik OEM provider. In other words it is a HIk product that they put their name on. Looking at all Config and things like that it is coded with MAC by Hik and 90% all coding is from Hik Product platform setting.. Won't say their name but it is same idea behind my LTS Products that I OEM. They are also Hik OEM Provider. Not to happy with them either but I still use their products. I have many Brands I have bought and not many better then Samsung pre 2016, and since 2016 bought mostly Dahua and Amcrest only with a few upgraded in TVI seeing that wasn't offered at the time in Amcrest however now it is and wish I would have waited a year and just stayed with Amcrest for my TVI needs.. Annke is a OEM of HIK they Deny it but they are and don't even have their Mac addressed to Annke name all devices are still Hikvision when searched. So again with my Device today, I was able to add them to Hik Connect using the Serial and View code that I setup for each device. Tried even to setup without 8.8.8.8 and it didn't connect until I had a good DNS.. I would double check that your ISP hasn't Blocked any of your PORTS. I do pay for a Static IP and all ports are active and able to be used.

@@revo2maxx Thank you very much for your availability, I may have forgotten to tell you, the hotel is connected to a microtik router of which they have configured each port. that may be the problem (since it is on this same router that I connected the nvr)
