This is one of the BEST VIDEOS I've come across, since getting into surveillance for my home!!!! I've had other DVR's with similar setups, but the manual was non-existent or poorly written. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!! I just purchased my DVR and doorbell for my home..
Thanks for making this video, I found it very helpful, helped me to set my motion detector zones, since selling it I haven’t gotten any false alarms on my outside cameras, except for when it went from color to night vision, that seemed to set off an alarm, which I think it shouldn’t but one false alarms not bad. . Thanks again will have to do a little work on the inside camera. Thanks

The software is massively different to what's shown here. Nothing correlates.
Any plan for update on the pro software?? All my devices the app is buggy or just closes
Wish this software would get updated. If the camera gets locked to the same channel it will not work in the NVR. Only 1 camera will record on the same channel and there is no way to change the channel. So if one or more of your cameras are not recording. Head into the device tab and see if your channels are the same. If so you are in the same boat as me.
Any plans to add an option to increase the font size for use on a 4k television monitor? At the moment, the font is too small for me to use it on my 55" 4k TV.
Does anyone know if it's possible to delete the recordings from the micro-SD card in the camera via the playback UI?
Considering the recent supply chain software build compromises, it is no longer acceptable for a software publisher to release unsigned installers or apps. If it is supposed to have anything to do with security, digital keys must be secured, the build process must be audited and the resultant code must be digitally signed.
In all honesty this isn't really a "concern" for situations like this because there are numerous other applications that end users are capable of utilizing other than Amcrest's proprietary software. Furthermore any respectable engineer isn't going to allow remote access to sensitive camera locations outside of LAN or explicitly controlled zones utilizing hardware keys in order to gain access anyway.
I'm sure you knew that though.
Of course the provenance and integrity of any software provided by a supplier is always a concern and it is a fundamental responsibility to ensure that integrity by code signing. This issue is not mitigated by firewalls since the software will be installed by a privileged user. Also, this is not about access to cameras or use of any third-party utilities.

I am a developer for Apple. The new "Catalina OS" will not allow this software to run.
an alternative to this? web ui plugin does not work either
The software installer window won't max to view so radio buttons and selection buttons don't appear, in Windows 10. Unable to complete the software installation. Any solutions?

Broken on Mojave 10.14.5. Cannot add groups, cameras don't show up under default group, App icon missing, App won't open half the time saying "Application has runned!", Installer says unidentified developer. Ironically, Dahua's Smart PSS works in every way.

I CANT FIND HOW TO RAISE THE VOLUME ON MY CAMERA. ITS TOO QUITE WHEN I SPEAK INTO IT. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.
Not sure, but check the web-interface on the camera to adjust those things maybe some Mic gain can help.
Can't get install to start. Says this every time..."Amcrest surveillance pro or pc-nvr is running now. Please stop it first."

Cant drag cam into live view. Absolutely nothing happens. The cam is there in the default group. It has a ? and a red crossed out circle on it. Baffling software that offers no help. EDIT: triple checked login creds and still not working. I guess we're on our own.
don't buy amcrest cameras. the company doesn't update their software, and not longer works on my mac. bad company
So far, terrible customer experience. Your software and interface design needs help. And i'm not a simpleton.
