I grew up in the mid North of South Australia and cute little fellas like that are expected company in old and new cars

I first started my mechanic journey in Las Cruses NM and if a car sat for a month or longer and you feel a web 90% of the time it was a black widow.
Ugh! I always wonder what I’ll find in these old trucks I bring home!

FWIU most young healthy adults rarely die from Black widow bites unless you happen to be more allergic to their venom and cause more problems than just the venom itself would do.

For your information, I did exactly what he's telling you NOT to do and got my arm stung 4 times by a black widow. While obviously I didn't die, I was sick for two weeks and my arm and shoulder were very red and swollen. Not fun.
Can confirm being a person that has been bitten twice by a black widow. Brown recluse bite had a worst reaction

DUDE, why do black widows love under fenders!? Its everytime for me. Especially if the car sat for a long time.

Ours don’t seem to be phased by humans. The y just stand their ground.
Im confused as to why you called it a black widow because the black widow is a similar looking American spider but it doesn't have the red marking, so you must be in Australia
Not sure where you live at, but everywhere on the east coast, Black widows have that red hourglass all day long
@@southernebikingyup even the male spiders do and they are brown but how deadly they are is a myth 😂😂😂 only between 4-8 deaths per year out of roughly 2500 bites per year 😊
@WithSherm Here in the southeastern united states, they are typically black with a red, hour glass. You are correct to most people they are not deadly. Typically, if someone is allergic to bee stings, That person could have some trouble, but a healthy adult without allergies are normally all right
The widows look scary, but the brown recluse around here are much worse!
