Haven't watched the video yet, but I think Tyrion, now that he just wants everything to burn; he could be the catalyst that drives Dany to descend into becoming the Mad Queen if Martin choses to go down that route.
The Manderlys had a very compelling backstory going for them in Dance. Their history with the Starks and Freys over recent events will make them pivotal in Winds.
Penny's relationship with Tyrion slowly pulls him from his villainous persona (and being a slave). He won't be wholly good in WoW but he will use Tywin's ruthlessness to do more good than bad
im really interested in what you think will happen with dany in winds- theres suchba distinct fanfiction vibe to how she recruits the dothraki in show canon, and im interested in what you think george is cooking for that storyline
I do think that Tyrion will be instrumental in taking Casterly Rock. Tyrion's Chekov's sewer maintenance has to lead some where, and we've already seen Dany taking one city using the sewers.
Tyrian is one of my top 5 characters, and I heard that GRRM has him surviving to the end - but I'd need one major thing cleared up before I could even begin to make predictions. The only other character with heterochromia (as far as I can remember) is a Targaryen - Allyson (?) Viserys's mother... Jaeherys's daughter. This fact lends a lot of credibility to the rumors that he may be a bastard son of the Mad King. It doesn't hurt that so many Targaryens were delivered stunted, twisted, misshapen... whatever... or that he has had dragon dreams (can't tell if any of them were prophetic at this point). I'd love to see him reunite with his original love - Tysha... and, if possible, mend all the wounds there - and then eventually be awarded a lordship somewhere - maybe Summerhall? or even Haranhal? and thaat we leave this epic in a way that he and his descendants could have a bright future. Seriously, though -he did hit rock bottom and dis some really horrible things... even unforgiveable one might say. I could see him taking the Black and being tied up there until the threat of the Others is dealt with... It really helps that he treated Sansa respectfully and built the beginning of what could be a life long friendship with Jon. So... I'm most looking forward to the rest of his story.
Next I'd like to see someone we haven't heard about in a long time, like Sam or Davos, who don't have preview chapters and haven't been heard from since Feast or the first half of Dance. Whoever it is, I hope it's not Dany or one of the Starks. While doing all of the Lannisters was a great way to start, I'd like you to spread out a bit now so we still have some "major" characters left halfway through, and we don't have to end the series on Areo Hotah...
Bran next, please. I've seen many discussions about his future but most seem "out of context" (for example, Bran sitting on the Iron Throne bc of the show). I really would like to hear what you have to say about his future in the books.
I think Tyrion is a well written character who has played important roles but I chimp out at how many chapters he gets. Like after fleeting to Essos and being on a boat he STILL gets chapters.
10:00 Tyrion’s story parallels Littlefinger’s story which happens at the same time as the parallel between Sansa and Dany. I think Tyrion will tell Dany that Faegon is trying to usurp her throne by invading Westeros before joining her, even reveal Faegon’s Blackfyre lineage to provoke her even more which will cause the 2nd Dance of the Dragons/6th Blackfyre rebellion. But once Tyrion learned of the whereabouts of Tysha and the Long Night is at the horizon, this will spark his redemption arc and try his hardest to clean up his own mess, even end up killing Dany in the process. Tyrion is a redemptive character, not a tragic one. Littlefinger, on the other hand, will go to the deep end without redemption in sight. After the Boltons are dealt with, he will poison Sansa’s mind to kill Jon (like using the same talking point as Catelyn about how Jon is like Daemon Blackfyre trying to usurp the throne from the Targaryens, which is ironic as Jon is a Targaryen, then use the evidence of Jon creating the new House Thenn or how he deserted the Night’s Watch to reclaim Winterfell as a back up point). Sansa will become paranoid and imprison Jon for desertion and order Jon to be executed, despite the protests of House Thenn (that Jon created), Ryswell and Dustin (that are not a big fan of Starks and are a huge sympathizer of the outcasts like Theon and Jon) but then Bran probably sends his vision of Littlefinger to Sansa via the godswood which will cause Sansa to become more suspicion of Littlefinger and investigate more to gather more incriminating evidence about him. Then we will go to trial with the evidence of Littlefinger’s treason (like contacting with Cersei/Faegon to subjugate Winterfell under the Lannisters/Blackfyres) then possibly a trial by combat or the combat won’t happen and we go to the execution right away. Like in the show but with a better execution. Sansa will not go to the deep end like Dany. Her executing Littlefinger and sparing Jon will complete her character arc of finally embracing the Northern identity after being stuck in the pits of Vipers in the south for so long and she will help Jon prepare for the Long Night and Northern independence.
I agree with you on the Sansa-Littlefinger plot. But on the Dany-Tyrion one I don't hahaha. First, I see it almost impossible for Tyrion to kill Dany (neither Jon) because basically Dany's fate is sealed at the Battle for Dawn, because of her starring role along with Jon in the books (Jon-Ice, Dany-Fire: They're both Song of Ice and Fire). Second, Tyrion's arc is one that parallels his sister's, the two will descend into the deepest depths of madness and darkness. Third, Tyrion will be the worst of Dany's influences, to this will be added the bad image that the people will have of her because of the publicity that Faegon will make of his “aunt”, that is, he will make her look like a monster that comes to finish everyone. This is very important in Dany's character (the most tragic of the saga) because her goal is not power, but to find the lost home (it so happens that this home is the Iron Throne as a symbol, and that is why she wants to rule) which will provoke in her the deepest darkness, saying: “Have I been enslaved, mistreated, harassed by assassins, have I had no childhood or family like others, few people have loved me for who I am without having political interests, I have never slept under a safe roof, I have wandered the world, what I have wanted has vanished, I have risked my life, I have always used power to help others, to protect children, the weak, I have used fire as something purifying, to put an end to the corruption of the world so that now the people, the weak as I was, do not want me, do not love me? I have given everything of myself to be loved, I have used fire as something purifying wanting to find my place in the world and nobody loves me... well now you will see that fire can not only be purifying, it can also be destructive.” Fourth, (I think) the bad influences of Tyrion, Faegon, Euron, and other adverse circumstances like the death of (maybe) some of the characters around her will cause (as I just said) Daenerys to cause the destruction of King's Landing and its population -though not like in the series, because to do that you need at least one dragon but a very big one, so with some big but not so big dragons, that somehow with their fire that will set fire to many structures directly connected to the subway tunnels of KL and this fire will indirectly reach all the barrels full of wildfire of the Mad King and the real Mad Queen (Cersei) replenished in the saga-. Fifth and last, this unintentional/intentional destruction will make Dany have an inner journey in which she realizes that yes she is a dragon, yes she is a queen, but she is also a child, she is a protector, the Protector of the Seven Kingdoms (remember that at this point she will already be queen, as a Targaryen must sit on the Iron Throne to lead them all against Death) which is what she has been throughout the saga. She will realize that fire as a destroyer is not good, and she will begin her arc of redemption that will culminate in the Battle for the Dawn against the Others. From her multiple dreams, revelations by third parties such as Bran, Melisandre, the Three Eyed Raven, the candles, etc. and thanks to Quaithe she will get to know the nature of the Others (the true Ice, more than Jon) and, somehow and together with Jon, she will manage to end the Long Night, sacrificing herself (both of them or just her). This would mean everything for her arc: giving her own life so that the weak can live it.That is the character of Daenerys. To this you add that Dany's plot is cyclical: She has to be using her power to end corruption, at first with slavery, as the Good Masters enslave a large part of the population, the weak. This must be repeated to put an end to her character: the Others would be the Good Masters, since both enslave the weak (Good Masters-living people; the Others-dead people). Somehow the Others are the result of the corruption of the Weirwood Net caused by the Children of the Forest (or even by Azor Ahai) and the Good Masters are the result of the corruption caused by the Valyrians, the first slavers and the ancestors of Daenerys (the last purely Valyrian person alive) who created that productive system and who would be destroyed once and for all by a Valyrian. All this would make sense with George as a writer, who is a rather romantic person and who likes to see life as cyclical and poetic. To sum up, it is highly unlikely that Tyrion will end up killing her, let alone for her redemption! Tyrion is a main character, but he is not a protagonist (unless he is the third head of the Dragon). Tyrion will descend into the deepest darkness and perhaps return to the light, but not in that way. It wouldn't make plot sense for his character nor would it make plot sense for Dany's character. Daenerys is the most tragic character in the saga. Sorry, too much text XD
The tv show had SO much potential with Tyrion’s character after season 4 and Dinklage probably would’ve loved the ability to challenge his own acting. If Tyrion had done half of what he did in the books vs the show he would’ve made for a character the audience wouldn’t know if they should root for considering he was a major fan favorite when the series gained popularity. I wish they would’ve kept the Tysha storyline in the show and how Tyrion and Jaime actually left things when Jaime frees him in the books because it shows his entire sense of self destroyed by his family and his entire motivation is death and destruction while still pitying himself as the poor guy who’s the villain AND the victim. He doesn’t care and that reckless cunning would’ve made the “twist” of Dark Dany in season 6/8 more interesting because Tyrion is actively trying to bring Westeros down. (Mostly his family) It’s a shame they decided to make Tyrion a naive, slow and incompetent character who’s suddenly taking Cersei at her word instead of the vengeful and spiteful man he’s become.
Honestly baffling that they didn't do vengeful, villainous Tyrion in the show, considering that the trial confession scene was such a great moment.

I am really enjoying this Winds series, I don’t know what to suggest you as the next POV, as either have suggested you could either go with blocks of families or blocks of locations.
The Greyjoys would be a fun gourping of POV characters to check in on next
Haven't watched the video yet, but I think Tyrion, now that he just wants everything to burn; he could be the catalyst that drives Dany to descend into becoming the Mad Queen if Martin choses to go down that route.
Do Ned Stark next. His chapters have been perfect ever since book 1 ended
I’d love an episode on the sand snakes and Doren
Interesting points made here; now what about the two Stark girls?
The Manderlys had a very compelling backstory going for them in Dance. Their history with the Starks and Freys over recent events will make them pivotal in Winds.
I have a huge feeling they’ll announce Winds of Winter straight after the HOTD series finale, but we shall see!
Would love to see the North characters (characters in the north anyway) next. Jon, Bran, Davos, Theon, Asha, Melisandre.
You should do Joffrey next in this series. I want to see you talk about how Joffrey the Just will rise again as Azhor Ahai.
Would love to see Stannis next
I’d love to see this series cover more of the main cast of the series, like Dany or Jon
6:26 Yezzan zo Qaggaz mentioned 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Penny's relationship with Tyrion slowly pulls him from his villainous persona (and being a slave). He won't be wholly good in WoW but he will use Tywin's ruthlessness to do more good than bad
im really interested in what you think will happen with dany in winds- theres suchba distinct fanfiction vibe to how she recruits the dothraki in show canon, and im interested in what you think george is cooking for that storyline
I'd like to see Brienne recap next.
I’d suggest doing the Greyjoy family next!
Amazing video! Please do Theon Greyjoy.
Hearing everyone rip on the tyrion tv adaptation is what got me to read the books and I gotta say they did my boy dirty
Going westward to Essos? It's a bold strategy, Cotton.
If it worked for Alyssa Farman, it’ll work for Tyrion
Tyrion is the Mad Kings son and will fly the gold dragon.
Ah yes, a video on Ned Stark's role in the Winds of Winter 💀
I used his picture because he’s the one who usually says winter is coming lol
@QuinnTheGM ohhhh lmao. Absolutely love the videos you've made, cannot wait for the post-WoW release videos in the years to come
God yes, Tyrion and Victarion must have a few chapters together.
Regarding "who next" I guess the other "main characters" of Jon and Dany would be fine choices.
I do think that Tyrion will be instrumental in taking Casterly Rock. Tyrion's Chekov's sewer maintenance has to lead some where, and we've already seen Dany taking one city using the sewers.
I think you should do one on dany and then jon and the starks next
I can't wait for Danny and Cersei to meet ❤️
Areo Hotah next!! (Or Sansa or Asha)
New POV recommendation would be, Sam 😅
Next I'd like to see someone we haven't heard about in a long time, like Sam or Davos, who don't have preview chapters and haven't been heard from since Feast or the first half of Dance. Whoever it is, I hope it's not Dany or one of the Starks. While doing all of the Lannisters was a great way to start, I'd like you to spread out a bit now so we still have some "major" characters left halfway through, and we don't have to end the series on Areo Hotah...
I'd like to see some videos on the Starks next. I know Sansa's storyline will be especially different than her show counterpart.
I would like to see Sansa/Alayne next, and if no Ashford Tourney theory is mentioned I'll be sad.
I hesitate to read the TWOW sample chapters, since GRRM tends to go back & rewrite multiple times before he completes the final book.
Bran next, please. I've seen many discussions about his future but most seem "out of context" (for example, Bran sitting on the Iron Throne bc of the show). I really would like to hear what you have to say about his future in the books.
Do Ned Stark next. Can’t wait to see what he gets up to in Winds.
Next all the starks kids :D
Sansa or Brienne next would be nice
Can’t wait for the Winds of Winter comes for Ned Stark!
Her executing Littlefinger and sparing Jon will complete her character arc of finally embracing the Northern identity after being stuck in the pits of Vipers in the south for so long and she will help Jon prepare for the Long Night and Northern independence.
i dont think tyrion knows that aegon is a blackfyre
@@craig7405 He will, eventually
I have given everything of myself to be loved, I have used fire as something purifying wanting to find my place in the world and nobody loves me... well now you will see that fire can not only be purifying, it can also be destructive.”
Fourth, (I think) the bad influences of Tyrion, Faegon, Euron, and other adverse circumstances like the death of (maybe) some of the characters around her will cause (as I just said) Daenerys to cause the destruction of King's Landing and its population -though not like in the series, because to do that you need at least one dragon but a very big one, so with some big but not so big dragons, that somehow with their fire that will set fire to many structures directly connected to the subway tunnels of KL and this fire will indirectly reach all the barrels full of wildfire of the Mad King and the real Mad Queen (Cersei) replenished in the saga-.
Great video as always! I’d love to see Sansa Stark next.
Also theory: the mountain had Ned’s head sown onto his body to make up for his lack of a head
Ned's head was rotting on the walls and had no chance of being used
@@richarddecredico6098 ahh but the mountains visor is described as filled with black blood in a vision and wasn’t eddards head covered with tar
I mean it’s still completely ridiculous, but funny
It should have been Robb’s head.
“Robert (Robb) Strong (Stark)”
JON SNOW! CORN! KING! SNOW!
the king who bent
Winds of Winter drops the week before Christmas 2024. You heard it here first! (Yes, I am delusional.)
Yeah nah George says no
No sorry
actually heard that from lots of people previously
@@richarddecredico6098 And they are all delusional. Must be something in the water.
Sansa is the one I'm waiting to see next 👍🏼✨
I want Theon next
Do Ser Pounce next!
The winds of winter are coming for no one
Having recently read Dune for the first time, were Yezzan Zo Qaggaz and Nurse a reference to Baron Harkonnen and Piter De Vries?
Do one for the dire wolfs we all want it we want to know what happened to those good boys
I'll believe when I read it.
At this rate, the sun will swallow the planet before we get "Winds of Winter".
Please cover Daenerys next!!
For a second, I thought I was watching RedTeamReview. Yall sound so much alike.
I want Daenerys next
I love S4 and see it as the best season, but WHY IN THE HELL WOULD THEY CUT OUT THE TYSHA ADMISSION!!!!
Aeron or another Greyjoy next! 😊
UA-cam has gotten rid of free audiobooks of asoiaf. I can only think why
Some free audiobooks
(Mostly his family)
It’s a shame they decided to make Tyrion a naive, slow and incompetent character who’s suddenly taking Cersei at her word instead of the vengeful and spiteful man he’s become.
