- Hello everyone! Today I thought I'd discuss Jaime Lannister's journey over the most recent #asongoficeandfire novels and what's next for her in the Winds of Winter.
Be sure to subscribe if you enjoyed this video! What do you think? Is there anything I missed? What do you think of #houseofthedragon so far? More #asoiaf content is on the way!
Thank you all for watching! I'll be back with more theories on Sunday. Character art in this video is by TheMico!

A point that wasn't mentioned is that Jaime is one of only 3 characters that dream about fighting the dead, with the other 2 being Jon Snow and Dany, so I think that Jaime will indeed fight in the long night, and Brianne will be by his side like she was on the dream
I never made the connection between his dream and the others, BASED take my dude!
Quinn The GM single-handedly makes the wait for TWoW more bearable.
Him and David Lightbringer :')
@@GuitaristmalakianI love David's videos, he's such a great analyst
Thank you, Jaime is absolutely one of the greatest characters in Modern Day Fiction, he is the perfect deconstruction of the Prince Charming Archetype and has a beautiful story arc so far.
His Redemption Arc he’s going on is absolutely beautiful and his connection with Brienne is wonderful, I long to see him reunite a changed man with his daughter Myrcella.
If someone had told me after I'd first read AGOT way back when that Jaime Lannister would end up one of my favourite characters in ASOIAF, I'd have laughed in their face. But Geroge has written him to be so wonderfully conflicted, misunderstood, and human, with the human capacity to change and grow, that I can't help but loving him. And for all the show's flaws, the onscreen chemistry between Nikolai Coster Waldau and Gwendolyn Christie was perfect. I'm really looking forward to seeing Jaime and Brienne back together as knights from opposite ends of the spectrum of honour, meeting in the middle.
Bro is wasting no time using the burning mill image when talking about chaos in the Riverlands LMAO
Immediately useful
Definitely do Tyrion next because he is the only confirmed character whose story is finished in Winds
damn I had forgotten about that, I wonder what will happen to him in Winds? if GRRM has his whole arch in TWOW written and if he's his favorite character then that means Winds is mostly done.
@@JLchevzPure copium lmao
@@JLchevz I just know those Daenerys, Jon, and Bran chapters are breaking his brain 😂 they're the most magical characters and with the most important roles in the fight for the Long Night and what comes after, those chapters have to be perfect and prepared for A Dream of Spring to end smoothly
Agreed
I have my theories on Tyrion, some of which have been discussed and widely agreed upon in the fandom, but I don't want to spoil a future video for you.
You interrupting yourself to say Jaime realizes Cersei is "no longer the woman he had once - EW - loved" sent me
When is it I didn’t hear it the first time through

Jon Connington - “The Character too Good for Game of Thrones”
Second vote for this… Jon Con next.
@@bonedragon4166 Third...!
He’s a fruit
Seeing how they portrayed Euron we should be grateful they didn't introduce Jon Con to the show.
I agree 100% about Red Wedding 2.0, and then he goes to KL to kill the Mad Queen (Cersei Lannister).
Tommen will die at the beginning of the book from poison, Myrcella will be queen until the Dornish kill her too, the city will be under siege by Aegon Blackfyre's forces, when Myrcella dies Cersei will completely snap and order Qyburn to kill everyone in the city with wildfire, Jaime will kill Qyburn and then kill Cersei.
Jaime: it was a joke when i said "jaime Lannister sends his regards". How could you believe Bolton when he keeps lying to your face?
Stone heart:.......😮
Roose Bolton truly said that for the lolz
The threat he gives to Edmure about the trebuchet might be the coldest lines GRRM wrote in ASOIF.
And yet it still shows his warmer side because he chose diplomacy instead of actually doing it like what Tywin and Cersei (and even Tyrion) would have done.
Another one of the coldest lines in the series comes right before. “Hundreds will die, most of them your own. Your former bannermen will make up the first wave of attackers, so you'll start your day by killing the fathers and brothers of men who died for you at the Twins.”
@@HuhbroskiTywin actually had to do the Rains of Castamere first before playing that song would have an effect. He would use that song to intimidate and avoid bloodshed, yes. But not because he cared about saving lives. Wars are a headache 😅. Jaime didn't want to spill blood because he didn't want anyone to die.
Now, what I will give Tywin ultimate props for is that his horrific actions gave his descendents an aura of monstrous and terrifying, so just a mention of intense violence would make a foe bend, giving Jaime the ability in the first place to construct that smart scheme.
@@nont18411 That _is_ Tywin's philosophy. Make a massive threat, and if they try to call your bluff, actually go through with it.
I can hear myself saying.."Jamie, just when I think you can't make things any worse....you go and .....TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!!!" Keep up the great work bruddah.
There was a thing I saw on Facebook a while ago, where someone rewrote a section of the battle of winterfell, and I loved it.
Final battle of humanity Vs the dead
Bran is warged into the past being protected by jaime and Brienne.
White Walker stabs Brienne with her own sword, she lays on the ground dying.
*Cut to young jaime kneeling before aerys targaryen* In the name of the warrior, I charge you to be brave…
Jaime kills the Walker, and after a brief moment of grief, draws the sword from Brienne, now aflame
*Cut to aerys* ‘Do you swear to defend the innocent and helpless in the name of the seven?’ ‘I swear it’
*Audio of jaime and Brienne parting ways as jaime looks around* ‘They say that the best swords have names. Any ideas?’
*Night king appears and stares at bran, his ultimate target*
‘Oathkeeper’
*Jaime steps inbetween them, laughing sombrely*
‘Do you know what they call me?’
*As Azor Ahai walks towards the Night King, all that can be heard is a cacophony of voices from past seasons cursing:*
‘Kingslayer! Kingslayer! KINGSLAYER!’
Gives me shivers
Can't wait for YOUNG GRIFF!!!!!!!
As long as Bloodraven is alive Young Griff is not safe Bittersteel.
@@thedread2597 would be funny as fuck if bloodraven didn't bring bran north for anything about the white walkers but rather to obilterate Young Griff.
We meet again, Ser Aegor.

@cokelover-nb1qz sounds like something he would do. Pretend it's for the greater good, but it's really for his revenge.
I love Sansa, so I’d love for her to get her winds of winter prediction if not next, relatively soon :)
10:00 I know that this kinda makes sense but I always hated this theory that they would die together, they always tend to think that while saying all the craziest shit about how they’re two halves of a whole and all that, which grrm clearly doesn’t agree with, I feel like having them die together would only affirm that and it wouldn’t make sense to do that, it would be much more interesting for one to die first ( Cersei I think) and the other having to reckon with the fact that they’re still alive, and all that stupid shit they did had no real justification
I've always loved the theory that Jaime's the valonqar, and he's the one who's going to kill Cersei. The irony there would be beautiful.
@@thing_under_the_stairs for sure
@@thing_under_the_stairs I think that is almost guaranteed. Given valonqar means little brother, Cersei obviously thinks it's Tyrion, but GRRM has deliberately written multiple times that Jaime is younger than Cersei by a few minutes. Not only is Tyrion too obvious a choice, Cersei thinks it's Tyrion and Tyrion always thinks about killing Cersei, so in my mind, that 100% means it's Jaime.
@@j-rey- And that's the *right* way to subvert expectations - using a long setup, and lots of supporting logic. The things that Dumb and Dumber just kind of forgot with the show. Jaime's got good reasons to kill her, and he just might save King's Landing from a mad ruler again by doing it!
Something I like to think is that during the whole saga we see on Tyrion's chapters admire or kinda envy how Jaime get out of problems with his sword
And also we can see how Jaime Admires or also kinda envy how Tyrions get out of problems using his mind and his tongue
We already had our moment of tyrion goin the Jaime's way so I kinda would love to see Jaime getting out this situation the "Tyrion's way"
And we can kinda see some hints of this goin to happen on Brienne chapters during Feast for crow
Specially when she talks with Thoros, hearing thoros questioning what are they doin as a brotherhood may be a key card for Jaimes defense during his upcoming "trial"
I always thought that it would have been really cool if Jaime learned that Jon was Rhaegars son. He deeply regrets not protecting Rhaegars other children and I can see Jaime feeling honor bound to protect and serve Jon
Oh man, I adore the style of your videos. It's just right! My only problem is that I couldn't finish the books so far and I have to avoid a lot of your videos to avoid spoilers about certain topics that I want to experience for the first time by reading it. Finally started A Storm of Swords today and I'm hyped for what's coming.
Highly appreciate you catching us up!
Quinn I love how committed you are to being delulu about Winds coming out ever 😊
Imagine Jamie being the pov of Prologue of WoW 😱
I will cry so badly.
I disagree with your assessment that Jaimes story parallels Cersei, id actually argue that Jaimes story actually somewhat parallels Jon's story if anything. Which is why i believe, Jaime and Jon will both be Azor Ahai Reborn, and in a full circle moment, he will help the son of Rhaegar, and the grandson of the King he was meant to protect, defeat The White Walkers and there De-Facto leader (who i believe will be Euron Greyjoy, the crows eye, the Great Other reborn, and the Reincarnation of the Bloodstone Emperor). Where i believe he will die as well.
Could be BOTH
But the comparasion with Cersei is because of the prophecy, like he would kill Cersei before she drops Wild fire im the City, the same way he did with the Mad King
But obviously this just are theories . . .
I've often felt that a funny/ironic ending to Jaime's story, if Bran ends up king, is being the Lord Commander of his kingsguard.
The greatest day of Quinn’s life was seeing the aftermath of Burning Mill so he has more Riverland wreckage images
First, GET HYPE FOR ROOK'S REST. Anyway, Quinn thinks Jaime is a better character than Jon Connington confirmed. I love that his future is...uncertain? Like, we have good ideas about, say, JonCon's and Dany's and Cersei's and Arianne's etc., but Jaime is much more unknown. I think I agree, it will involve some riverlands shenanigans, than some Others shenanigans, then end with Cersei, but how? Pfff that's what I am excited about.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a video for Red Ronnet Connington for this series. I implore you good ser. This character definitely is being set up for future stuff (haunts Brienne's dreams; slapped by Jaime; cousin-nephew to JonCon; opens up the ADWD epilogue). On this note, Red Ronnet represents pre-hand loss Jaime Lannister; young, handsome, arrogant, skilled-at-arms, the type of person who would treat someone like Brienne like crap. Jaime slapping him with his Goldenhand is symbolic of Jaime embracing his injury for good. And now, Jaime is with Brienne, but Red Ronnet is in King's Landing...and likely to interact with Cersei. If Brienne and Jaime are the good Bear and the Maiden Fair, then Ronnet and Cersei are the evil Bear and the Maiden Fair.
I think Brienne will be the one to kill Stoneheart, being put in the impossible choice Jaime once was put in. A tragic irony her killing the woman she once swore an oath to with a sword called Oathkeeper
Jaime Lannister won’t die because the plot armor won’t allow him to die without reconciling with Bran first (and of course, reuniting with Tyrion, whether it will be friendly or hostile. Also, the valonqar thing).
Plus, what was the reason Catelyn was revived in the first place? Beric must had some Rhllor visions about her and what she could bring to the table in the grand scheme of things. That’s why he revived her. Either that or he’s super into the dead milf and hated the Freys so much that he kissed her to make her go on a revenge crusade, which I don’t think it’s a case for Beric.
Plus, she has Robb’s crown right now and she knew that Robb wanted to legitimize Jon and it’s too much of a coincidence that both Cat and Jon hated each other, while also fell into a very similar circumstance: getting betrayed and murdered by their own men, only to get revived again by a Rhllor follower. They also got scratches at their eyes around the same time too.
Cat shouldn’t die again without reuniting and have some mutual understanding with Jon first and this could help Jon realize something as well (even giving him Robb’s crown, which will legitimize him as king in the north). Ever since he’s revived, he had been fallen into constant rage and vengeance that he brutally murdered Roose, Ramsay and the rest of Bolton soldiers by burning as a result of his newly-unlocked Targaryen madness. If he kept going, he will become sad and angry like Catelyn, which will make him lose focus on the real threat: the white walkers. Zombie Catelyn is essential for Zombie Jon’s character development, at least in my opinion, and that would explain why Beric revived her as well: to guide Jon to the right path in unifying the realm in the incoming long night, which might end up be the first and only time ever that Cat acts like a mother to him.
She could even be the Nissa Nissa for Jon’s Azor Ahai.
I never thought that Catelyn could be Nissa Nissa. Super interesting
Winds will come this winter! Is something I say every summer!
Never has a summer been so long, and so hated XDXD
Jaime is going to reveal to Tommen that he is his father after Cersei's golem beats Lancel and "proves her innocence" in the eyes of gods and men in the matter of incest, causing Tommen's death.
Sorry if this is what happened in the show, i didn't bother watching it
But yeah, with him dead, and likely myrcella's early death being told to her, she'll snap and try to detonate wildfire... Which is the thing he literally gave up his reputation and everyone's perception of his honor to stop from happening... You know, to protect the innocent... He'll finish the job, either by choking her as she's obviously set up to be given the hand of the king position by the church, or cutting her throat and getting the blood on his golden hand "red and gold"
Round out the trilogy of Lannister children and go with Tyrion
@12:52 We also take the woods witch's assertion that The Prince Who Was Promised would be born from the line of descent of Aerys and Rhaella with a grain of salt. We as readers meet someone who might be this same person in the books - The Ghost of High Heart, and when she describes the prophetic things she sees in her dreams, they are all figurative/metaphorical and nonliteral, in keeping with GRRM's usual depiction of prophecies:
---A shadow with a burning heart butchering a golden stag - Stannis having Renly assassinated
---“A man without a face, waiting on a bridge that swayed and swung. On his shoulder perched a drowned crow with seaweed hanging from his wings” - Euron hiring a Faceless Man to kill Balon
---“A roaring river and a woman that was a fish. Dead she drifted, with red tears on her cheeks, but when her eyes did open, oh, I woke from terror” - Catelyn’s death, her body being thrown into the river, and her resurrection
---A wolf howling in the rain, but no one heard his grief - Greywind during the Red Wedding
---"I dreamt such a clangor I thought my head might burst, drums and horns and pipes and screams, but the saddest sound was the little bells"' - the musicians at the Red Wedding and Jinglebell
---A maid at a feast with purple serpents in her hair, venom dripping from their fangs - Sansa and the Purple Wedding
---“And later I dreamt that maid again, slaying a savage giant in a castle built of snow” - Sansa destroying Sweetrobin’s doll after he had it (as a giant) wreck her Winterfell snowcastle
So it is very likely her vision of The Prince Who Was Promised was similarly not-straightforward, which increases the risk that she misinterpreted the vision by a lot
I’ve read the series twice and watching this video reminded me how much I enjoyed his chapters. Well done.
As for the next video my vote is for Arya or Daenerys. I’m also super curious about Davos as his storyline is one of the biggest cliffhangers. Excited to see what’s next!
Stannis. We want to know what’s going to happen after the Battle of Ice
Jaimes going to get a trial from stoneheart, and brienne is going to be his champion, fulfilling the dream he had. There's so much resonance with jaimes demons, and gendry noting how cool it was that the brotherhood gave sandor a trial and abided by the outcome.
Jaime never got the chance to defend himself at trial after killing aerys, and as a result he lived under a cloud of shame for the rest of his life. Cat kicking the bucket of shit at him was one of the inciting incidents on his path to redemption.
I really hope this is how it will go down. It sounds perfect!
OOOOH I knew Jaime would be the next video, love it
For a next Character, Stannis the Mannis would be my pick or Bran
Nice video, since AltShift nailed some of the characters in W of W. You should make a video about Arya or the Sand Snakes or even Stannis the Mannis
Love this series :) can’t wait for more
I think it would be cool to keep doing characters that are connected to each other in some way. Like you could go from Cersei to Jaime to Brienne to Sansa to Arya etc.
In the vicious post-apocalyptic landscape of Westeros after the Long Night has ended, a one-armed swordsman wanders the Seven Kingdoms, sworn protector of Robb Stark's heir.
I think next should be Set Pounce!!! 😼 And if not him then Tyrion.
*Ser
We all know Ser Pounce is *THE* most important character in the entire series. He's the Pounce That Was Promised!
this series is going to be so good both now and to look back on in retrospect
GRRM has hinted their would be a second Dance of the Dragons coming in the last two books, so if his history has any recurring themes, maybe he will step up as Hand of the King like Cristen Cole, but trying to be more honorable and reconcile both sides to fight the Second War for the Dawn instead of leading the Lannister faction against Young Griff or Dany's forces.
This is a great resource for all the fanfic writers working on Winds and Dream
Bad boys figuring out how to be good are a lot more interesting than goodies breaking bad - hence the fan interest in Goldenhand.
And if you're looking for a character connected to Jaime to do next, do Sansa. She's Martin's most effective detective and Dance suffered, I think, from the lack of her input.
I am so tired of people hopping into the comments of asoiaf videos just to vomit out the same 'it's never gunna happen' over and over.
A few thoughts- One, I'm glad to see that rather than delete the entire plot point, George merely transitioned it to Little Walder (ie murdering his entire family to ascend the line of succession. Two, children are safer in the Hound's care than they are in Jaime's; we know this for a fact; and you'll never convince me Jaime didn't kill Mycah the butcher's boy. Three, given that my favorite video you've ever done is your previous one on Brienne, I vote for her as the next character in this series. Nice video.
I think the two things that are needed for Jaime's character to come full circle is to A.) kill Cersei and the side of him that she represents, and B.) Die during the Long Night, serving as the current King/Queen's Kings/Queensguard, dying an honorable death while fighting for the side of the living. I think Brienne filling in his deeds in the White Book may carry over into a Dream of Spring from the show.
You should definitely do Theon next, I’m really interested in what will happen to him after his preview chapter in Winds.
If you’re doing Jaime I think it’d make sense for Brienne next because their winds stories coincide a bit
Subjectively, the regular Bracken arms _might_ be better than the Blackwood one, but Bloodraven's personal arms **is** better than Bittersteel's...
Can’t wait or the next one!
Go Tyrion next though, follows the births of the lannisters!
Yes Q I love his one Dance chapter Also can GRRM just force Jaime and Genna into more scenes plz?!
do brienne next! I am loving these
7:38 I think Jaime is going to have to fight Brienne or atleast that will be on the table. Brienne as Stonehearts champ and Jaime as his own.
You should definitely do Tyrion or Jon next.
Go Tyrion next 🦁
I think you should keep the bannister train going with tyrion
I too agree that the story of Jaime won’t end in the Riverlands, some way or another he’ll survive Lady Stonehearth. I also think that Jaime will be involved in the Long Night, but I think he’ll need a Widow’s Wail to fight against the other as foreshadowed in the weirdwood dream where he and Brienne yeld flaming blue swords.
“As he raised the sword a finger of pale flame flickered at the point and crept up along the edge, stopping a hand's breath from the hilt. The fire took on the color of the steel itself so it burned with a silvery-blue light, and the gloom pulled back.”
“Brienne's sword took flame as well, burning silvery blue. The darkness retreated a little more.”
The scenario I believe the most at this moment is that Jaime will have to interact with Cersei again and take Widow’s Wail and then after the Long Night he goes back to her at Casterly Rock and we’ll have the valonqar moment (the motivations behind his return I can’t speculate).
So after whatever happens with Brienne and Lady Stonehearth I think he’ll go back to Kings Landing.
“Once he found the Blackfish, he would be free to return to King's Landing, where he belonged. My place is with my king. With my son.”
But I don’t think he makes it in time for Tommen, after Cersei’s trial and the reveal of Robert’s Strong the Sand Snakes won’t let that kid leave long, however I think Jaime could make it in time for his daughter Myrcella. The news of the death of Tommen may even push him to return faster and save his daughter.
Also, but that maybe it’s because I am too attached to this theory, I think that Tommen’s and Myrcella’s deaths were swapped in the series, so Myrcella will commit suicide and one of the contributing factors will be that Jaime will tell her she’s fruit of incest.
“Would Tommen want to know that? The truth could cost the boy his throne. Would you sooner have a father or a chair, lad? Jaime wished he knew the answer. He does like stamping papers with his seal. The boy might not even believe him, to be sure. Cersei would say it was a lie.”
Myrcella suicide would also parallel the suicide of Queen Helaena, with people speculating if it was murder or not.
I can see Myrcella dying while still in Kings Landing, or maybe she survives enough for Jaime to convince Cersei to retreat together to Catserly Rock and save Myrcella’s life from Aegon’s forces.
In any case after the death of his children Jaime will have no reason to stay at Cersei’s side anymore and he’ll go back to Brienne and have a part in the Long Night.
I think Brienne will survive the series.
Cause again in the weirdwood dream we hear this: "The flames will burn so long as you live," he heardCersei call. "When they die, so must you."
And it’s only Jaime’s sword that goes dark while Brienne’s keeps burning.
For the next video I would suggest Tyrion so you conclude the arc for all the three Lannister siblings.
I really really hate the idea of him having to die with Cersei. Not necessarily because I don’t want him to die (I don’t) but because thematically that only really works as part of Cersei’s story and the whole valonqar thing. The problem is that apart from a handful of comments regarding them being twins, Jaime’s story and themes don’t actually have that much to do with Cersei. His story is all about oaths, honour and self-actualisation. Him dying to kill Cersei (which seems to be the most popular take) doesn’t deal with any of that. Jaime never swore an oath to Cersei, she has little to do with his kingslayer drama, and him killing her (a woman and his kin) is not honourable by Westeros standards, not to mention how him going back to die with her feels like such a setback when a big part of his story up to this point has been about him breaking away from her manipulative grasp. Jaime and Cersei’s relationship is very much defined by narcissism, so in a way she represents the old him that he is trying to leave behind. And sure, you could interpret that as him killing his older self or something, but how is dying bound to your past a satisfying conclusion to a redemption/self-actualisation story? In Cersei’s chapters she keeps bringing up how similar they are (usually to boost her own ego), meanwhile Jaime is out there realising their differences while slowly developing a bond with Brienne (who is the complete opposite of Cersei in every way). I know that the valonqar theory is popular, but as it stands it doesn’t make any sense for Jaime’s story and kinda breaks his character values, plus Cersei doesn’t really have the means and power to be considered a major threat like she was in the show (I don’t think a “mad queen Cersei” arc is very likely in the books considering Euron, Young Griff, Dorne and the white walkers all being kind of a big deal) so in what scenario would straight up killing her be his best/only option?
Him throwing her letter in the fire is such a strong moment for his character development and I would rather see him dying far removed from her, fighting for something he believes in. To me Jaime’s story is about him living up to his ideals as a knight and not letting your past define who you are…..and I fail to see how dying with Cersei is part of that.
That was long. I’m sorry. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
I think it would be cool to pivot to one of the Starks; my personal favorite is Bran
Great video and options for one of my favourites as well ❤️🩹
Definitly do tyrion next, to complete the lannister siblings videos. After that, please do the starks
I say stay on Westeros and discuss Tyrion when you go over to the Characters in Essos, and do Brienne next. This was a nice Video thanks for sharing it.
Brienne please... followed by Cersei, Tyrion & Tywin - i like the idea of some central characters taken from the original outline and then covering their most related characters - both in the books so far and GoT.
Have you heard Joe Magician's theory about the Tattered prince, Cago corpsekiller, and pretty Merris being stand-ins for where Jamie Lannister, the Hound, and Brienne's stories would have gone with the 5 year gap? Its a great video and theory.
This would make the Jamie's story again the one that changed the most during the writing process.
I think you're right, after this encounter with Stoneheart and Brienne is wrapped up Jamie will flounder about, abandon Cersei again, head north, and eventually die with and by Cersei
Good vid
I’d love to see brienne next
I'm going to be honest, I don't think the winds of winter is coming for anyone, at all
Sadly I'm thinking the same
GEORGE CANT FINISH IT BECAUSE HE DOESNT HVE WHAT IT TAKES TO FINISH IT. He realized hes full of poopy poop. Thats what he gets for being an edgelord meme queen in hus writing
I don’t think you understand the story George R.R Martin has built. This is the most complex and most anticipated story ever. There is so much going on. You can imagine the intertwining each character has with each other. He is a genius.
It’s easy to say it not coming out. It’s low hanging fruit. Come up with something different. Have some genuine input to the conversation. I bet you are maybe an adult in mind and body. Most people realize what it takes to get this story done correctly.
It will come, too much of the book had already been written. Word on the street is it could already be done.
We will get Winds of Winter.
We will not get Dream of Spring.
I just gotta say, between Qyburn and Tyrion, how has no one come up with the idea of making Jamie a Pata-type sword prosthetic for his missing hand with a Parrying dagger in his hand, or. A haladie or gou-rang attachment for his prosthetic with a Bravosi-type blade in his hand, either way a guy who was one of the best swordsmen of all-time could be formidable again with a little adaptation. I know that's not his arch, but still, there's been no attempt.. like what the hell is a hollow gold hand good for..
It probably won’t happen, but I think Jaime would make a great character to survive everything. The dishonorable knight being the one to carry things on has a poignant beauty to me. Obv it’s heavily foreshadowed that Jaime and Cersei will die together, but thats what Cersei wants, not Jaime, and even though he is likely to die in some heroic sacrifice a la him killing Aerys, I like the idea of him not just getting to die and be redeemed. Growth and redemption don’t just happen with grand gestures, they take a lifetime. Self sacrifice can paradoxically be a selfish (or rather, self serving) act sometimes, as it acts as a free redemption without all those pesky extra steps. Him having to carry on and rebuild and carry the torch of those who he knows were more honorable than he ever was would teach him what honor really is: not being some gallant knight sacrificing themselves to be worthy of song, but humility, hard work, and selflessness.
If I had to guess, Jaimie will die and Brienne will carry his legacy as the commander of Abram’s kings guard, but hey, a man can dream…about spring perhaps?
Sooo any news on winds and Dream?
Him and cersei being a targareyn is such a good theory. That would mean the only son Tywin had was tyrion, the one he hated.
Got you with the like and comment 👍
Arya putting down her zombie mother was dark man lol butt perfect!
I always felt that by the end of Dream the world will have effectively reset to the status quo of where the books started; same houses in the same seats, same plots, same rivalries, etc. no actual change.
I think the core message of the whole series is:
"The common people pray for rain*, healthy children, and a summer that never ends," Ser Jorah told her. "It is no matter to them if the high lords play their game of thrones, so long as they are left in peace." He gave a shrug. "They never are."
The story will end exactly where it began, where the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must, and nobody will have learned anything.
I'm absolutely all in on Jaime + Cersei secret Targaryen theory, so as far as I'm concerned hes bulletproof until hes Unalived Cersei and is one of the three heads of the dragon in the long night.
Think his next steps will be north with the BWB, before the chaos about to erupt in Kings Landing slowly tempts him backwards
Tyrion next please
Winds of winter is a dream of spring
Winter is coming for House Lannister
@@Huhbroski We don’t know how much Jon is going to be changed however, he may want a genocide of the House who caused all the pain to House Stark from the beginning.
Who would be able to tell him no?
@@Huhbroski It would be interesting to see, but I suspect that in a twist of irony they will be deleted as they famously did to the Reins. Hopefully not by a pile of rocks like the show 🤣🤣🤣…
I'm pretty sure it'll happen, but my vote is for Jamie to take the black and eventually become the 1000th Lord Commander during the fight for the dawn. David Lightbringer has this theory/analogy that the White Cloaks are kind of Other figures and they share symbolism, so for the Kingslayer to be at the wall in black would be very fitting.
How about a 15 HR long video about the world renowned kings guard ser ballon swan
Do Bran and the Jojen paste result!😊
I think jamie and cercei being targaryens has been staring us in the eyes from the start
Although she’s not a pov character in the book series, I’d I’ve to know where you see Queen Margaery going forward in TWOW.
Would Robb’s possible heir even have a kingsguard? Far as I know, the kingsguard is an organization which is based in the faith of the seven, something the Starks do not hold to.
I think Brianne is the one who's going to kill Lady stoneheart. Just as you say, Jamie's story is paralleling Brianne's, Brianne's is also tied to Jamie's. Brianne is so straightforward about her thoughts on honor and oaths, which is a foil to Jamie and his earlier quote about how having too many oaths means they contradict each other. I think Brianne's story will culminate mirroring Jamie killing the mad King by Brianne killing Lady stoneheart after realizing that you shouldnt be bound by oaths to evil people, and instead should make moral decisions on your own
I think he will die and be resurrected, probably by a more merciful Thoros (that will desert from the Brotherhood with the rest of their moderate faction). Same as Victarion after he was resurrected by Moqorro, if he has a wound (his lack of right hand) his skin will burn, and the flesh from his arm will be hot as hell, almost on fire. Because of this, his prosthetic gold hand will be molten so... he'll be able to move it, recovering his former and letal hability with the sword, a valyrian steel sword (Oathkeeper), and as a fire wight he will have super strenght, super speed and tolerance to physical pain, but he'll follow an heroic journey. Maybe, Sansa will decide to change LF's plan to recover Winterfell, and conquer the Riverlands, her birthright, and Jaime will be there, because she is also Casterly Rock's lady and the daughter of people he hurt in the past (Ned and Cat). Then, they´ll probably fall in love (i know it's very fan fiction shit but Sansa has always been on handosome, brave and honorable knights and Jaime would be a more mature vertion of this fantasy, also Jaime doesn't love Cersei and he was offered to marry Margaery, he rejected her because he wasn't willing to marry the widow of his son, so i think is a foreshadowing of him falling in love with Joffrey's former fiancée). They'll conquer the West, imposing a new and more benevolent regime, and then they will go to Kingslanding, where Jaime will kill Cersei for her atrocities (let´s remember she answered to Maggy´s profecy about the younger more beautiful queen with "i´ll tell my brother to kill her", and the maegi told her that her would take everything that is preciated to Cersei, so it would be ironic that Sansa gets Jaime at the end.
Sorry x my english, not my first language xD
Do Brienne next pretty please! She’s straight forward, but still so fascinating!
Can’t wait for bran and aria
Do Quentyn next. There is so much he can contribute to the Winds narrative.
I think Jaime’s first chapter in WoW will be at the Twins. He said in Feast that Arthur Dayne defeated the laughing knight by winning the small folk and local lords. I think Jaime will claim the Freys remaining RW hostages in Tommen’s name and will send them home undermining Lady Stonehearts support among the riverlords when he does go to see the hound he will recognize that Lem is not actually the hound. I think Jaime will be given a trial by combat because of all his actions in the riverlands but he will have to fight Brienne. Jaime kills Brienne using his gold hand then Thoros sacrifices himself to bring Brienne back. Half the brotherhood goes north with Brienne and Jaime for Arya & the other half stays to torment the Freyd with Lady SH
I'd love to hear Daenerys!
You should tackle cercei or Bran's arc next. Fortune favors the bold.
Already did Cersei!
Could widows wail become the new legendary sword of the dawn as it could be used to kill nissa nissa becoming a widows wail?
You mention Brienne was able to save Pod and Ser Hyle. In her last chapter in Feast she says something like "she screamed a word" while they were all hanging. As far as I know, we don't know that Pod or Ser Hyle are alive. My guess is Hyle is dead and Pod is a maybe, but probably dead too.
from kingslayer to kingmaker ? jaime executes robb’s will
Lady Stoneheart maybe? Any of the non-TV characters (like Euron Greyjoy) bevause we can sort of guess at the TV characters.
Would love to see a breakdown of where you think Sansa Stark’s story is going for the next book!
Yo GM I have an idea for a new series, given that these novels are full of character arcs going in both directions. Why don’t you make a series of videos highlighting the pivotal moment that ignited the start of each characters arc. Eg. Jaime’s oath to Cat. Theons need to prove he’s a Greyjoy
Like in the show, Cersei is going to try and blow up the Great Sept of Baelor or King's Landing itself with wildfire. Jamie wants and stopp her from doing that - as he did with the Mad King. He will kill Cersei in her attempt but this time he will be too late...
The Maggy the frog prophecy comes true. Also they came into the world together and they leave together as they always wished.
