*Special Thanks to ESPN as they were an invaluable source for this video. They did an amazing job of investigative journalism and this video wouldn't be possible in its current form without them. I strongly recommend checking out their full article here es.pn/2VdUu3r to learn more about Bryan Pata's story, the police work behind it, and much more as some details were not included in this video, in the interest of time.

Yes Espn did there thing these past few years. They played a huge roll in bringing Bryan's case to light. Along with the new team at Miami dade police that's on Bryan's case. Thank you ESPN for bringing Bryan's case back to light and thanks to the new detectives that communicated with the family. Because for 15 years we heard NOTHING. Once again thank this channel. You did a great job as well.

Oh wow, I go to UM, I heard of this story but not to this extent. This video was so beautifully put together and edited. I learned more about this story here than I have my 2 years on campus. I'm also Haitian and the school's Haitian association also talks about how 1st gen students like Bryan have tough times adjusting to the States, something I feel completely being an immigrant myself. I'm so happy this video was able to portray Bryan's immigrant struggles while also reporting the murder case and showcasing the seriousness of the violence that took place on campus at the time. It literally touches upon all aspects of what went wrong in Bryan's life, whether it be due to Bryan's family or environment.

    • @cind4846
      @cind4846 3 роки тому +9

Bryan is not a Haitian immigrant, hun. He was born and raised in Miami . There was no need for him to adjust to anything since it's his birthplace. His mother and older siblings are from Haiti; which makes Bryan of Haitian descent. Did you watch the beginning of the video? 🤦🏾‍♀️

A lil late to the party, however I had the pleasure of meeting Bryan following his sophomore year at Miami while I was in Miami for an NCAA Alumni Ass. Meeting( I too Played D1 college football though not at The U). He was a gentleman and very affable, articulate and extremely comfortable around older NCAA/business executives. Of the dozen or so Players that I met, some from Florida State, Bryan stood out with his personality. His mother did an amazing job and it's heartbreaking that she basically had her heart ripped out with his murder.
Also, your comments regarding what seems important today will not even be relevant in 5 years, 3 years or even 1 year is so incredibly important and it is THE key point of three that I tried to impress on the athletes that I spoke to. You should repeat that every chance you get cuz it's soooooo true and hopefully, if just one of your viewers take your words to heart, or one of your viewers repeats your words to someone in their life who is thinking about committing a massive negative life altering and potentially permanent mistake based on senseless impulsive TEMPORARY feelings, then you will have really built an incredible legacy beyond your superb sports content!!
    Continued Success Brotha👊

@LTNetjak This is why players are paid for their Name, Image and Likeness.
That is not a salary... this is the market determining what a player's value is...
      That is called free-enterprise...
The NCAA bound player's to contracts which made them slaves... they even owned their images and likeness.
For example... how many ppl bought a #23 jersey over the past 30 years???
Now the players can make their own jerseys and compete against their own school. Once again... Free Enterprise...

Irony is often said but the person that was the ironic never understood the meaning of irony.
BLM IS THE MOST MISUNDERSTOOD MESSAGE BUT A GREAT MARKETING TERM. GOD DANG IT I COULD REALLY EXPAND ON THIS BUT I ALREADY DIGRESSED TO MUCH.
ANY WAY I REALLY LIKE TO LISTEN TO YOUR STORIES OF HUMAN LIFE AND THE TRAGIC SITUATIONS. GIVES PERSPECTIVE THANK YOU

26:47 im not too sure what the 27 means but i notice A LOT of 2’s and 7’s here. 2.2 miles, 7 minutes away. 7 PM, November 7th. 77 ave. 7200 at 87 at 7:40 at 6781 72 and 72 backwards is even 27. just random but it made me think

Some 27’s I can up with. Miami played the next game after Bryan’s death and they lost 14-13. April 27th was the day before the ‘07 NFL draft which is the one Bryan would’ve been taken in

theres no coincidences .. in numerology the words "ritual=27" & "miami=27"
also from his birth-date til his death date is a span of 22 years, 2 months, and *27* days
      8/12/1984-11/7/2006
      simplify the date 11-7 (11> {1+1=2}) another 2-7
he wore #95 and his birth-date adds up to 95 (8+1+2+84=95)
his last name Pata = 38/11/70
      the words "death=38" and "murder=38"
and the numbers 11/70 correlate with his death date being 11/7
not to mention the alleged killer wore #38
