    I've met this young man on several occasions and he's so blessed to have a grandmother like he does she's a beautiful amazing woman she's done a awesome job raising him I could see the hurt on her face when talking to her she shared things with me that made me teary eyed because I'm sure it's very hard raising a disabled child but she never skipped a beat because that's her baby's baby she's doing what she's got to do for her baby girl 🙏🏽🙏🏽

    Her 911 phone call was heartbreaking. She was not only hurt from the gunshots, but you can also hear how heartbroken she was to see the man she loved and trusted attempting to take her and her unborn child's life. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy! Unlimited prayers, and condolences to her family. I am so glad her mother got custody of her child! Outstanding job Granny!

What a shame for him to do what he did, instead of having a life with Cherica & his mini me he spend 18 yrs in jail and sadness & regret. Yes at least his son is happy and cared for despite losing his mother before birth. 😭😭 Imagine what could have been if Carruth had been a real man and his 'friends' had a told him to buck up & not risk it all to hurt gf. Ugh. Additional good years in NFL, teaching hus own son's the game, seeing them graduate, being a productive member of society instead of a murderer. He deserved the full murder charge.

    I'm a Retired Nurse now, But I was one of Many nurses that Was on Duty When this young pregnant lady was brought in. Because of Right to Privacy Won't give details. But there was never A Doctor or Nurse who didn't Weep each time We leave that Room. Her Mother was the Strongest Woman I have ever met
    Ray C. Is a Monster and no Woman is safe with him. God Bless this Child and his Beautiful Soul. Even today when I drive by here final resting place it makes me think about seeing her in that Condition. Tragic

    Flem deserves his own segment on prime time tv and or a series on any of the steaming platforms. (Netflix,Prime,HBO Max, Hulu, etc). His storytelling is second to none and really puts in the work researching/studying whatever subject or person he‘s making a video on.     As a panther fan I hate that Rae is in our franchise history, he ruined three lives and one before it even got started.     This story has always touched my heart. Rae is an evil person, the mother didn't deserve that and his son deserved a better chance at life, I'm glad he survived and the family are really great people.

    This story still gets me in my heart every time I hear it. It's so tragic, yet so avoidable! He tried to end his child's life before it even began, but look at him now. He's definitely a fighter and he's a survivor. I admire Cherica's mom for the strength she's displayed through the years. They're just amazing people.
    Thanks for being so mindful in how you presented this story. Although it's been over 20 years, that pain her family feels hasn't changed. I know for myself after losing a close family member to violence. It's easy to feel revictimized by the way someone presents their story to others. But you did an awesome job respecting her and her family in this video. Kudos! Don't shy away from the hard stories. They'll make you grow much better than the easy ones. ♥️♥️♥️

    The emotion in your voice at the end was completely warranted and it all built to that moment of despair. Expert storytelling and thank you for going outside of your comfort zone to tell a story that absolutely needed to be told.     Hearing her heartbreaking 911 call....realizing the it was Rae Carruth who she realized WAS the one who did this horrible, horrible thing to her AND her poor baby. I'm so proud of her for fighting to stay alive long enough to save her baby...and I believe she knew before she died, that he made it.     I’m from charlotte & This actually hits home. I’ve met chancellor a couple times at family gatherings. Cherica was my cousin’s best friend and I’m in a picture with her when I was about like 5-6 years old. Chance is definitely well loved and cared for 👏🏾

    I always leave the channel for a couple months at a time but I always return and binge what I’ve missed because Flem is the best storyteller on UA-cam. Excellent video as always.     The Charlotte Observer did an amazing job with their follow-up documentary. Thank you for covering this case, it's heartbreaking what happened to Cherica and Chancellor. Though they got some measure of justice, I think Rae should have been found guilty on all counts

    Another great job. I remember when this happened and it was one of the most shocking things done in NFL history by a player. I was so glad she had the strength to call 911 and tell who did it or they would’ve gotten away. If you don’t want kids use protection or don’t screw!!!

    Very sad and incredibly horrendous situation (gross understatement)! That being said, you did a great job with this very grim account of a strong mom (dying breath), powerful grandma and a son with will to live, who was handicapped by a pitiful individual. Despite some triumphs, like you said, "everybody lose".

    Saw a full story documentary on this. The way he ignored the clone / young man / son, was the worse part. The grandmother taking care of this young man is the hero. Myself, feel Rae can't get anything back from past. Should just acknowledge the wrong & make peace, just humble yourself .

    This story pissed me off and broke my heart. I remember watching it all unfold and I was absolutely mortified. I was the police at the time and all I wanted was to see Ray put UNDER the jail. And I STILL feel the same way. How could someone be so heartless?

    This case always intrigued me. How someone who can commit to a team, abhor committing to parenthood. Obviously he did nothing to prevent these kids… her 911 call is so sad. She knew, her intuition knew . She said those words while dying , she was sure. She just couldn’t fathom it but she knew.

    My aunt went to college with the young lady who was killed Cherica Adams and often told me stories about them being in college she even gave my aunt a gift that my aunt still has! She said she was the sweetest person I believe it
