    Hugo, great review! Please advise how do you clamp SMALLRIG Lightweight Matte Box to your 95mm diameter lens? In your video you kind of have direct clamp system from lens to the mattbox attaching it without any threaded 95-114 step up rings.

    • @HugoWill
      @HugoWill  2 роки тому +1

      Small rig matte box comes with all kinds of adapters for that. The are all threaded but you can find your size

    Hi Hugo, I didn't see a link for the bottom Tilta plate - the V-mount one. For the RS2 that you mentioned in the video, it caught my attention. It just be an oversight on my part.

    Hugo thank you for this video , how is the Vestax Rx and Tx latency for pulling focus ? Also doses it overheat as I read on some review? Thx

    • @HugoWill

      It’s possibly to pull focus, not ideal , but absolutely fine. And it didn’t overheat on me ever… didn’t know that’s a thing.. :-)

    Hugo, did you have any issues connecting the PortKeys to the RED Komodo while using a PL Mount lens? I recently purchased the PortKeys BM5 WR and I've tried connecting it wirelessly but don't get an image. I do get camera control but no image at all. Any insight would be helpful!

    • @HugoWill

      It doesn’t send image wirelessly. Only camera control

    Have you had problems with the vaxis?

  • @arturlialiuha5840
    @arturlialiuha5840 Рік тому +1

    Cool video.
    But how will you power your monitor and focus motor (tilta M or N) at the same time?
    Vaxis hasn't any free slots to power any devices.
    V-mount battery has only one free d-tap slot.
    So, is it impossible to power focus motor?

    • @HugoWill
      @HugoWill  Рік тому

      That’s a downside of the Vaxis but most of batteries have two d-tap so usually isn’t a problem at all

    • @arturlialiuha5840
      @arturlialiuha5840 Рік тому

      @@HugoWill I saw only one, Moman 99Wh.
      Or you power your monitor directly with NP-F batteries?
      Also, can you tell me lengths of your cables, you use on handheld and Ronin setup? 2pin-power to Dtap, SDI to SDI.
      Did you use SDI Isolator cables?

    Hi, thanks for the informative video. Do you have any experience with Variable ND for Komodo? I'm using Canon SB so no Revolva or Canona ND for me :-( but I still I need to have some convinient solution for 1-5 stops with no sharpness reduction, no x pattern, no or very minimal color cast (the less the better :-) ).

    • @HugoWill
      @HugoWill  2 роки тому +1

      For high performance nd I personally use a matte box with 4x5.6 firecrest IRND

    • @madmadboy
      @madmadboy 2 роки тому

      @@HugoWill Thanks, I will invest in classic IRND at some point but for now I need the variableND for jobs, where shuffling filters is not optimal. You never use vNDs?

    • @HugoWill
      @HugoWill  2 роки тому

      @@madmadboy I use VND when speed is key and color shifting and performance can be sacrificed.
      Polar pro VND have a very good performance
