    If "trust your gut", "trust your intuition", "God's voice" is a trigger for you, then listen along!

    This is great stufff, especially in Christian circles, there’s this tendency for people to look for “signs” and “confirmation” that the person they’re dating is the “one”, not to mention many in the church believe when it’s the right one there’s complete peace

    What is your opinion on the narcissistic abuse side of UA-cam? The advice is all about trusting your gut and recognizing red flags. Sometimes my ROCD now has something else to worry about "is this a red flag? is she a narcissist? Is my anxiety a sign that I'm in an unhealthy relationship?"

    this was so helpful. I always get the feeling that it’s my intuition. But considering i’ve been having obsessive thoughts for so long, the random intrusive thoughts i get about leaving him CANT be my intuition. it’s too in line with my anxiety. this made me so happy i’m so thankful

    So I don’t know if I’ve jinxed myself or something (somewhat joking) but my rocd has suddenly been very challenging and triggering the past several days. I notice rocd will actually seep into relationships with other people too such as friends, not just my partner. I have several forms of ocd, not just rocd, so I’ve been having a rough time lately and this is really helping me to center a bit. Healing is such a journey...

    This is an amazing video thanks for the information. However I have a question- I am suffering from OCD for many years now and in spirituality I have always learnt that "Your thoughts create your reality" or "whatever you think about and speak into existence happens". So I have this terrible fear and anxiety surrounding that whatever I think about is true, all of it, or it will manifest into reality. It messes up my intutition and makes me question my sanity, my existence. Any advice on what I should do?

    I know religion has played a part in OCD for me cause its been a form of OCD and anxiety now within itself, and especially with rOCD its difficult. I'm just hoping to learn how to approach it in a non fearful way. Me and my partner dont necessarily agree on the topic of religion but I dont want that to worsen OCD and rOCD as we have a good stable relationship.

    Have you ever heard of people who were into tarot readings that use card readings to deal with the compulsion to “know”

      Tarot cards are the absolute worst… it’s a compulsion that feeds into the ocd cycle

    Hello 😘 i have a question: is it normal to doubt that the thoughts come from OCD? I have other types of harm OCD too but I can view these thoughts differently.

    • @hallebcg
      @hallebcg 5 років тому

      Lica Leu yes! Ocd is often called the “doubting disease” because of that! And it usually stems from anxiety, like a branch sort of (considering it is an anxiety disorder) and anxiety alone makes you doubt literally everything lol

    So I suffer from ROCD..Just realized a few weeks ago after 7 years in the same relationship...I felt even though in my head I knew he was the one and we were meant to be together I didn't feel it in my feelings always...I used this belief to in fact stay and not leave...that my heart would eventually catch up to my head...is this spiritual bypass in the opposite sense? Bc I always knew god sent him to me and that helped me to stay and fight...what do you think?

    What's rough is when there are legitimate potential incompatibility differences and you also probably have ROCD ;0 😭

    Is taking a relationship "break" a bad idea with ROCD? On one end I think it could help clear my head with the constant anxiety I have around my girlfriend. And on the other end, im worried my ROCD and fears will take over.....
    I feel so lost in what im supposed to do or what is best. Tired of putting no girlfriend through these emotional roller coasters 😔

      Do not take a break.. I did it in the past and it did not help me at all it's always there it's been 8 years now
