Well if you leave out of the equation the divas like Callas and Sutherland (good sopranos in their own right but not the best), France was always a veriable powerhouse for sopranos.. Mado Robin, Mady Mesple, Natalie Dessay, Sabine Devieilhe.. I can't think of any soprano out there, dead or alive, as vocally gifted as these ladies.

Quite a few singers can reach these high notes. Not many can hit them with power, and it’s often just momentary or a kind of brief whistle. Even fewer can sing them with true musicality. Sabine can do all of this, which for me makes her the most spectacular soprano singing today. Accuracy, power, grace, control, emotion. Beautiful, beautiful music.

I’ve been to this video and her other Olympia Aria video multiple times, simply because I do believe that she, and Luciana Serra, are the most polished singers of this Aria ever.
Natalie Dessay is amazing too, so she is definitely up there with Luciana and Sabine

The cadenza ending on 0:30 reveals her Talent plus Master of technique. Most of the sopranos prefer ending with low pitches where she went through high pitches as a result of her compatibility. Great performance!

No Ab here. You have to go to Maria Aleida's version. She holds the Ab the longest.
English speakers insist that one cannot sing the uvula r sound. This is a perfect example of how untrue that is.

And not only is she French, but typically the uvular "r" is not used in many of these types of works because it affects the purity of the sound.
One could argue that it'd sound better without it though. Not that it isnt possible.
