i first discovered sabine when i was listening to different versions of the queen of night arias. my first thought "oh, finally a german one".
well done sabine, your pronounciation is so spot on and flawless, that i as a german native speaker thought you'd sing/talk in your mothertongue.

Moi je travaillais ma voix sous la douche mais j'ai arrêté car à chaque fois ma pauvre mère éclatait en sanglots, mon chien hurlait à la mort et ma soeur faisait une crise d'épilepsie. Maintenant je me suis mise à la peinture et j'ai regagné la sympathie de mes voisins.
Tout ca c'est la faute de Sabine Devieilhe. Après l'avoir entendue chanter "ah vous dirais-je maman ?" j'étais persuadée que je pourrais en faire autant. Quelle erreur !

J ai découvert cette talentueuse chanteuse en cherchant les différentes interprétations du duo des fleurs de LAKME de LEO DELIBES et la ouahhh je suis restée émerveillée par la tessiture de sa voix et la puissance des émotions qu elle dégage. ....difficile de ne pas l écouter tous les jours. ..

J'aime sa gestuelle: on dirait qu'elle tient la note entre ses doigts, qu'elle la pose là, devant le public, ou en face d'elle.
Quel talent, humilité et naturel. J'aime ces dames sans fard, au figuré comme au propre, ces ongles courts sans vernis et très peu de maquillage. Le talent et la beauté au naturel.

Bravo à vous Sabine Devieilhe, pour les merveilleuses interprétations que vous nous faites partager, tout ce que vous chantez est extraordinaire. juste un point où je ne suis pas tout à fait d’accord avec vous: il n'est ni facile, ni naturel de chanter. personnellement j'étais disphonique, j'ai mis 20 ans à me soigner avant de commencer à fredonner des airs. J'étais incapable de chanter en chorale, et même la voie parlée était désastreuse. Après toute cette ré-éducation, j'entends mieux les voix, celles des chanteurs en particulier, mais plus génétalement autour de moi: certains ont des facilités, mais beaucoup ont des mauvaises habitudes vocales, certains même parfois pathologiques, et ils font avec. Ce serait bien que des chanteurs professionnels interviennent dès la maternelle.

A' l'évidence, vous avez tout compris du chant. Vous pourriez postuler pour un poste au CNSM de Paris; voire dans quelques prestigieuse maison telle que La Scala de Milan ou Vienne, Berlin, New York. Vous auriez les plus grandes stars de l'opéra à vos pieds.

Sabine DEVIEILHE n'as plus besoin de présentation y compris au niveau international. Elle est incontestablement une des plus remarquables chanteuses lyriques de notre époque.
Cela étant dit, réduire l'Art du chant - et tout ce que cela implique même à un bon niveau amateur - aux seuls "cordes vocales" comme elle affirme, est tout simplement FAUX et ne peut qu'induire en erreur le public profane mais néanmoins passionné ( comme en témoigne certains commentaires ci-dessous).
En France, il reste encore beaucoup à faire du coté de l'éducation et de la divulgation musicale de base celle qui devrait être à la portée de tout le monde. Je sais de quoi je parle; on entend parfois dire n'importe quoi en la matière.

You certainly are not fooling anyone with anything, petal. Sit down and keep quiet.
She is describing the traits of that particular soprano vocal part/range. There are different types of soprano voices. Dramatic, light, airy, heavy, very high, etc. She is trying to educate people who do not know and those who need to know more.
She is, quite possibly, the worst "singer" i have ever heard of (plus that Patibone)! A vocal disaster!
She has a condition of TOTAL unsupported airy voice, with rock hard tension, a parkour jaw that moves in every direction and a tounge that shakes like an earthquake on richter 8!
An itsy bitsy tiny soubrette lost in repertoar that is far too big and far to challenging for her!
I am so happy that at least one soul hears it. This shows there are still people out there, who know what singing is.

I had to go to the end of the list to find this negative comment. I agree 100% with the initiator of this comment and Marie-Antoinette. This kind of singing may seem pleasant and nice BUT it is not at all proper operatic singing. The voice is grossly underdeveloped, squeaky, airy, unsupported and dull. Even a coloratura soprano has to have core and chest quality in the voice. Unfortunately, this is the best the Paris conservatoire can produce these days. This is actually very sad because these artists have good voices and good interpretation skills but they were never trained properly by a good teacher that knows voice training and bel canto technique. A big tradition that was completely lost in the last 50 years. What a shame!
