Actually, The Titans were not part of the OG Timeline, and were one of the anomalies of the New Timeline caused by Midway Dark Raiden reeboting the timeline sooooooooooo there are alot of things that are wrong here.

Fo real! Ive been out since shaolin monks, but just got mk11 and im fukn loving it. Im not a huge fan of the new baddie, but i like the additional lore it opens up.
Been here since 1992 but can't afford a ps5 so for now Mortal Kombat is on pause... Mk11 just feels like a free Google game nothing special about them anymore but the story is cool.. I just wish they'd go back to what made the first one so exciting, now it's just become the one thing it hated... It became the Mortal kombat movie from 1995
From the start to present the final battle is Liu Kang vs Shang Shung I love where game Developers care to their old games like bringing it to conclusions of the story
I love the original 2 mk games just because it was the original games I played and I just enjoyed the story. After the 4th game I just lost track of the story. This video did a good job on helping understanding the story. Especially since after the 4th one the story kind of went all over the place.

Wow! Fantastic work. I was a wee boy when MK1 came out, playing it in the arcades and various other establishments. Finding an Mk1-Mk3 arcade cabinet somewhere was like finding el Dorado...lol...It was hard to keep up with the MK story while traversing life, but watching this put everything together and the depth not only in the story, but your hard work compiling it all is astonishing. Much respect to one of my favorite compositions in human entertainment, Mortal Kombat!

Prince Goro. When I was little my dad had the first 3 for Sega and a few throught the series. Me and my older brother use to play it religiously. He was always scorpion and I was always goro. Two brothers locked in eternal combat as a four armed hulk and a hell ninja.
So basically Liu Kang went full circle by going back in time to “his new era” to the train the new champion “The Great Kung Lao”, that was basically the monk that inspired a young Liu Kang in the first ever Mortal Kombat. So he’s living his own time paradox.
And i didn't know Armageddon continued on as mk 9 from Raiden sending visions to his past self to prevent Armageddon. I learned a lot from this video. Thanks The Leaderboard! Now I know why Raiden says "I must let Shao Kahn merge the realms to prevent Armageddon",from happening again.

The Elder Gods never teamed up with the Titans to take down the One Being in either timeline, they did it on their own. The titans weren't introduced til MK 11.
That's what pissed me off. Of course they had to have someone on top of the Elder Gods. I was pissed of because it was a cheap way to continue the story mentioning someone we never had any information about

The One Being is supposed to be more powerful than everyone else the EGs and thr Titans but the titans are too new to say how powerful they are. NRS claims they're higher than the Elder Gods yet one of the Kronika got beat by Raiden and Liu Kang so I would question this. The Elder Gods feats and power wise seem more powerful than the titans and definitely more powerful than the One Being since eons ago the One Being tried feeding off their power but the EGs defeated the One Being then shattered its body and created the realms from it while trapping its power essence within the Kamidogus.
Among fighting games, MK probably has one of the most interesting storylines ever. As a fan of the series since MK3 back in the day, I loved this video. I still remember how much I was pissed when I bought Deadly Alliance and the first thing they showed me is that Shang Tsung and Quan Chi killed Liu Kang :D
my favorite character is smoke. I almost deleted the game when he died, but his revenant counterpart is an interesting move. id rather him be good, but at least hes not completely gone. I was pretty upset to see him not show up in mk11 though. I hope he shows up in the new era!
Only problem is the lack of spin-offs mentioned, and smaller details like how B’han was Noob Saibot and characters getting introduced before being playable
When I finished Moral Kombat 11(spoilers) It was crazy how Liu Kang went back to his ancestor to stop him from even starting any of what the Moral Kombat contests became. Rewrote history itself. I just want to see how they will now expand the storyline because they kinda ended it with the ending of the DLC.

Except that what you described was just one possible ending for MK11 Aftermath. Another ending was that Shang Tsung defeats Fire God Liu Kang and basically makes himself god king of all time making the most powerful of Mortal Kombat Kharacters his servants to carry out his bidding

The entire MCU continuity was edited and put together during the height of the pandemic. It is unintentionally-ironically posted under the title "MK18." While the graphics and special effects would be all over the place, it would be cool to see the full length Mortal Kombat saga you break down here. It would likely also be much more confusing. Shao Kahn did not kill Blaze. You could almost say MK9 started where Shao Kahn won Armageddon creating its own timeline as we only see this in MK9 so it's different from the true one which ended at Armageddon where we don't know who won. Then it basically got reboot to the point where Armageddon doesn't matter. I'm starting to see why The4thSnake sees MK9 and up as wasted plotential.
@@tonyrockton It absolutely is. In Mortal Kombat (2011) it was established that the Sindel in this timeline was good but corrupted due to Quan Chi's sorcery when he revived her. MK 11 spits in the face of the original plot and her character. Edit: Also the timeline changes during the events of the first Mortal Kombat game. Meaning the events that took place *before* the first game are unchanged. This was a retcon.

Only nitpick: Sub-Zero himself made it clear that the Lin Kuei were ASSASSINS, while the Shirai Ryu were the ninja clan.
Kung Lao is my favorite, and here's to looking at more MK games in the future!

MK got complexed for no reason and people lost interest.. I started karate lessons when i was young kid just because i liked Sonya not elder Gods or something.. this is what is missing todat.. They should make series out of the 90's MK content..

The entire MCU continuity was edited and put together during the height of the pandemic. It is unintentionally-ironically posted under the title "MK18." While the graphics and special effects would be all over the place, it would be cool to see the full length Mortal Kombat saga you break down here. It would likely also be much more confusing. Excellent job breaking it all down here.

And u guys noticed this? Elder gods are immortal, raiden says this many times and we know there is no any kind of a mention about someone named titans in any other mk story in any timeline. But at the mk11, suddenly someone appears, and she says she is a titan.... and unkillable and immortal elder gods are dead. Aint it wierd?

Shao Kahn did not kill Blaze. You could almost say MK9 started where Shao Kahn won Armageddon creating its own timeline as we only see this in MK9 so it's different from the true one which ended at Armageddon where we don't know who won. Then it basically got reboot to the point where Armageddon doesn't matter. I'm starting to see why The4thSnake sees MK9 and up as wasted plotential.

@@tonyrockton It absolutely is. In Mortal Kombat (2011) it was established that the Sindel in this timeline was good but corrupted due to Quan Chi's sorcery when he revived her. MK 11 spits in the face of the original plot and her character.
Edit: Also the timeline changes during the events of the first Mortal Kombat game. Meaning the events that took place *before* the first game are unchanged. This was a retcon.
