We've got a shit ton of roadworks going on all around Perth atm and it fucking astounds me how many people ignore the changed speed limits. I was behind cops the other night going through roadworks and they certainly weren't leading by example...ignored the 60k signs by sitting on 80. Anyways, these videos are also good for training your forethought, looking ahead and thinking "Is this car going to pull out in front of me?" For example, I had a green arrow left and a Victorian green P plater did a U-turn into the lane I was turning into. I live on the NSW/VIC border, you cannot do a U-turn at NSW traffic lights, but most traffic lights in VIC allow for a U-turn. So I'm staring at this person and their car, and I knew they were going to U-turn because the second they started turning they were turning too hard for a right turn.

Agreed… We drive pretty erratically sometimes with lights and sirens, I won’t lie. At the end of the day, it’s everyone’s safety first. If we approach an intersection, slow down, check all traffic is stopped, then proceed through - paramedic student btw. We can’t save lives if we’re flipped over at an intersection.
Thankyou Mr Dash Cam Owner Australia for another great compilation, appreciate the time and effort that would go into editting and selecting these vids...especially during the pandemic and floods
Was in the car with my cousin as a teen. Didn't realise she was coming down from speed and was stoned. Being a passenger with a car running a red light was terrifying. Never got in a car with her again. And now I drive like everyone else on the road is on drugs.
This has taken me almost 30min to watch as I rewind almost every video, there was a a couple of almost captured double crashes as well, as well as a 3rd person view and a 1st person view of an accident.
11:26 whilst “pull over and make sure they are alright” is a good sentiment and attitude to have.. Considering how long the 4WD was going before moving left, “making sure the victim is alright” would be secondary to “make sure that person who caused it doesn’t drive away/make sure to get a good look at their car on camera for cops to track them down”
I loved watching these, and I got in my first car accident a few days ago. It really puts a new perspective on these videos knowing how surreal it is to be the people in some of those situations.
More than a few of these come down to poor visibility from a car. 7:07 is a prime example. That was a potential life and death situation for the rider. The reason it happened was the large and sloping A-pillar in that Landrover. The visual equation of a car should form part of the ANCAP rating. So many cars out there that are a danger to other road users because of this.
What is with people... I swear every single crash in this video was completely avoidable and caused by some incredibly unintelligent people. Honestly, I have never felt this frustrated watching a dashcam video before.
Sure, a lot of them were caused by morons, but a lot of these crashes are probably also caused by perfectly reasonable, intelligent human beings. The problem is that even a second of not paying attention in the right place can cause these accidents. The more you think about road travel and the incredible amount of things that can go wrong every minute, the scarier it gets. I wonder sometimes how I don't get into a car crash either by my or someone else's doing every single time I drive. But driving is a necessity for most Australians as it's the way the cities are built, so it's unavoidable. Best strap in and hope for the best.
@@timothy__tt i hope that’s not true, but if you’re right, then at least, even if you fail to avoid the accident through anticipating the other persons mistake, at least you can mitigate the severity of it… Also, as I’ve aged I’ve come to realise that intelligence comes in many different forms. For example, some people are academically smart but socially stupid… maybe these “reasonable, intelligent human beings” shouldn’t be driving when public transport is available
At least a handful of these would be caused by mobile phone use. The prevalence of this in the current day astounds me. I was driving down a main road last week and was behind a young girl in a car that I could see from her rear view mirror was looking at her mobile about 4/5 of the time. Every couple of seconds maybe she’d look up for a spilt second. I was behind her for 15 minutes and she did this the entire time. I’m a little older so I can go more the 60 seconds without involuntarily staring at my phone screen, but for people under 30 it’s a real problem. So much so they don’t even realise they’re doing anything wrong. Until they kill somebody that is…
@@harmlesscreationsofthegree1248 yeah, that’s exactly why nearly all these accidents could be avoided. Take out the rule breaking element, and most of these accidents never would have happened. It's pretty damn obvious that I'm not the only one who had to keep replaying clips (I slowed them to .25 speed) because I couldn't believe the number of people who drive like they're the only one on the road.
The front driver had to slow because there was no gap until the semi passed. He/she was then a little delayed in taking off after the semi - so, not so good. But, in the end, the cars behind were following too closely and not looking ahead.

@@Sonshine70s Let's lay that one to rest. Before you start building the correctly sloped "embankment" you lay pipes down every 90 degrees of the circle. The thing to consider though is.... Is the driver just leaving their indicator on . Is the driver just a sloppy driver (so many are) Meanwhile you are getting closer and closer. If you start braking then 10:1 the car behind you who is distracted will run you over. It's a tough call at times. If you flinch every time a blinker comes on or every time someone moves a little due to distraction you'll become a mental wreck. I do think he could have noticed the danger 0.5 seconds earlier though but I wouldn't be passing any fault for that. One thing to note is that he was in a turn (see the bike leaning over to the right) . When you are riding a bike you tend to be looking at where you are going to and not to the left. Riders will understand this. With cars you are upright, you have the wheel turned and you can be busy looking to the left, looking at your phone and so on. Car was still 100% in the wrong. Saying that, I'd like to think that I would have spotted that potential hazard . Scanning potential side street hazards is important as well.

Too many accidents caused by Red light runners. Should be an instant loss of licence. Hope all the bikers are ok, particularly the one at 1.03
They should be flogged on TV.
This should be mandatory viewing for everyone.
That pretty much sums up what I was going to say. It’s infuriating
They know trucks going just a bit too fast fall over and crush other motorists.
The designers just haven't been taken to Court and asked why they deliberately design killer roundabouts...yet.
@@Sonshine70s
Let's lay that one to rest.
Before you start building the correctly sloped "embankment" you lay pipes down every 90 degrees of the circle.
You place a drain grate above the inner end of the pipe.
Water runs down the embankment through the quality high drainage seal (not the average shit stuff) to the grate then by gravity and good design....out the pipes under the "embankment" and into the ditches/pipes you would have needed in any case for an off-camber roundabout.
Degree of difficulty,...very little.
Though if you live in a freezing and ice plus salted roads environment...it may preclude this shape of roundabout....as the blockage of grates and pipes in freezing weather might be a problem...
More like crushed tomatoes but yes.

The thing to consider though is.... Is the driver just leaving their indicator on . Is the driver just a sloppy driver (so many are)
Meanwhile you are getting closer and closer.
With cars you are upright, you have the wheel turned and you can be busy looking to the left, looking at your phone and so on.

was thinking the same thing.
Didn't look stolen to me. Driver wasn't running.
@@jimmyb1451 100% stolen

There, fixed it for you.....
“You guys alright?”
🏃🏼🏃♂️🏃🏼
Yeah, no probs, there'll be another car in this side street.....
@@sergeant5848 No care for the driver have they? Hope the little shits got caught and all 3 got charged.
11:01 mate needed the powerlines to travel back in time.
You know, I think they should make running red lights illegal.
It's very dangerous.
Its warmly satisfying seeing people running red being cleaned up. Just a shame an innocent motorist is involved.
6:07 How can someone navigate a turn into a stationary object? Do they run into door frames, poles and trees while walking?
As someone who has seen things like that multiple times, the most common reason that people hit a stationary object is they were focusing on another thing that they don't want to hit.
Sometimes they focus on the thing they are trying to avoid, and they head straight for it, instead of focusing on where they want to go.
Old mate in the first vid was fair cooking!
4:36 It’s so satisfying the way the bumper just pops off
9:24 can we take a moment to appreciate this mans commentary!!!!!!
Steve Irwin if his fascination was with car crashes and not crocs
2:30 12 Seconds the DC car was visible and appeared to of stop/going slowly and they didn't even notice. Doesn't even appear any brakes were applied. Person should lose their license
Yeah but notice how the dashcam car is for much of the time moving forward slowly? So no brake lights showing. In situations like this I've always made it a habit to tap the brake pedal a few times to possibly alert an inattentive driver behind
I ran it frame by frame, looks like the driver was looking down right up until the airbags went off, hope that text was worth it.
The, "way to go" sign on the back of the truck is just pure gold 😂
Can someone please explain how the majority of the drivers at fault seem to have no knowledge of any roads rules and why so many can't figure out what red lights mean?
I love these videos for remembering how quickly things go bad, helps me try to be more aware. Leave more space in front.
I want to show my kids before they drive. Perhaps muted.
Started watching this and thought to myself "it's pretty risky driving a car out there, let alone riding a motobike". Get to half way through and receive a callout for an idiot motocyclist who cut himself in two on a stobie pole speeding and running a red. Attend that, halfway back to the SES station come across another collision caused by a senior losing control in a school zone minutes before pickup time. This stuff is real and happens all the time!
