I was thinking "Where's your gear dickhead?", but also that I'd be getting straight back on and chasing that Aurion driver down that left the scene of an accident.
Squids squids. Amazes me that they even think about getting on their bikes without full protective gear. People get seriously hurt while riding electric scooters these days. Bikes are much more risky than scooters.
The cyclist one was typical: flying into the crossing thinking a car has to stop no matter what. That driver had no chance of seeing him, especially dressed all in black like that!
Similar experience. At roundabout, bike runs into me and says "why did you do that?". I asked him "why did you think that it was okay for you to fly through the "Give Way" at the Roaundabout? His response - "I'm on a bike, I shouldn't have to give way".
Yeah not a great idea undertaking a car turning left.... Green bike lanes are different, the car driver has to check their left mirror before turning across.
Do me a solid and check the lane position of the camera car. It looked to be at least partially crossing lanes. If the cyclist was turning in the middle of the left lane he would have been hit anyway
Edward Seychelles from memory it was the parents of family members who were following the white car that got hit bad and they ran to them thinking they were really hurt. No one wants to see another family member in an accident
The driver of the vehicle that was got hit did a good job of controlling their vehicle in my opinion. It could have been so much worse if they had jerked to the left in an attempt to avoid the collision.
The car opposite was blocking their view and so they probably felt safer to wait, and from what happened to the 2nd overtaking car they were right to wait. The only thing I would maybe do different is to move in to the intersection a bit.

The phone saved him from a nasty case of road rash, as only his backside and later his head actually hit anything. Soooo many people running red lights - I didn’t thing the concept was that hard?
Plus people coming out of side streets without looking both ways.

What I like, is that these are all the same problems I see all over the world. I just watched America's Crash compilation and they are identical... except for the opposite side of the road thing. Running red lights, failing to yield, fail to use turn signal, fail to open their freakin' eyes or turn their head, fail to stay awake... horrible.

Yup. It's not uncommon for people to see the first one, pull out after them, and then get rammed another one following just behind...
