I'm using builder gel on natural nails and have no forms but I searched for alternatives and found you. I don't believe in "waiting" until I get forms. I work to consistently protect nails and keep a great daily nail care. You are an angel!

Oh my you might start a new trend of custom nail forms!! If it starts remember you saw it here first!! Imagine you could have the underside a different shape..like leave the fold sharp..hmmm I'm thinking the backing from the forms woukd work good too.. I use them as paint pallets

Just a quick question,if you had used the oil instead of scotch paper wouldn't it interfere with the extension? I mean the whole process before we build is getting rid of any kind of moisture so what would have happend when the acrylic touched the oil ?
steli kazakova I'm guessing it wouldn't have bonded to where it touched the oil. We remove oil from the nail plate so that the product adheres properly

I specifically looked for a clip that shows how to make your own tape port acrylic nails and I found you...again. Love it! This ultimately seals the deal for me, you’re the top expert out of all the videos of seen of these. I searched this up because I don’t want to do my nails as I did before where I had to use the dremel underneath the nails. I spent two whole days doing that and I hated it. This gave me hope 🙏🏻 I got this! I appreciate you taking the time to show this for us, I appreciate you, you’re amazing.

Not sure if anyone else asked this.....could you do this with gel? Would it be harder? Would it stick to the tape more? Just wondering if curing it would make a difference.
I did this with gel. It was quite difficult to remove from underneath the nail. I found it stuck quite a bit, but I did eventually manage to get it off. It actually worked pretty well otherwise. I think photo paper might work well with gel.
I love ALL of your videos. As soon as a new one pops up in my notifications, I play it right wear I'm at. You give me inspiration to start doing nails again. I just have to purchase my equipment and supplies all over again.

I was in the middle of doing my nails when I had ran out of forms and here where I live it's hard to get your hands on forms , you have to order them online to get them most of the time and I was in the middle of doing my nails so I couldn't order and wait like 4 -5 days to get them , so i remember previously watching this so I searched it up and made my own form! And it turned out great! Thanks so much,love your videos by the way I learned completely based of the videos you post :)

I came to this JUST IN TIME!!!!!! It would have took me all day to think of this without coming to YT but I googled a substitute for nail forms and you were the very First to come up. I'm so ready to try this. I'm using paper from the printer and putting the tape on where the acrylic goes hopefully that works too.

Really useful trick in general. I feel like it gives a clearer idea of how to bend the forms and the importance of the c-curve.
