I'm so glad you showed us this! My mom used to get silk nails a long time ago, and since she stopped going to that salon I've never seen it done anywhere! I honestly thought I was crazy since I was so little when I was watching the nail tech. She had the sheets where she had to cut each individual nail out, but they always looked fabulous!
I did this for my prom nails around 5 years ago!! Everyone was amazed that I did the them myself 😊 I gave myself some French white tips and even added little gems too!
I absolutely love doing silk nails!! I did them for almost 15 years at the shop I worked in back home! I miss doing them!! Where I am now I do a bit of everything! I’m so glad you did this video! Maybe more people will get back into it!
I remember being little going with my mom to the nail shop watching her get her nails done like this...in the early to mid 90s. So different and timely.
Suzie is right, this is great for repairing and reinforcing natural nails. Since it doesn't add bulk like gel or acrylic, it looks much better with the rest of your natural nails. Thanks, Suzie, you rock.
Here in Brazil we use fiber glass in strings combined with gel and some professionals like to use the tips also... The adventage is that you can create a very beautifil and natural thin nail design. We Brazilian girls love more natural looks 😊😊 Thank you for the amazing job!!! ❤️

I absolutely love this woman. Your videos are so informative and helpful for me. I’m in cosmetology school and they don’t really teach you how to do acrylic just a basic manicure and pedicure which is a total bummer however we got a nail acrylic kit in our stuff which is very strange but I’m happy about it because I can learn on my own from you! So thank you again for all you do here on UA-cam.You speak very clearly and you have a very soothing voice you’re just overall very inviting and I feel very blessed that I have come across your channel. I have recommended you to several women in my class that have subscribed. I pray blessings over you and your family.
I’ve been using the precut silks for years to repair breaks in natural nails, especially since I started growing out my natural nails after acrylics. It gives me about a week of protection.
I've just found your videos after a nail horror story of my own today. I got my first manicure ever 3 months ago: gel nails which I've had refilled 3 times. I went in to have them removed and the tech PEELED THEM OFF using a metal instrument. It was so painful I had to stop them a few times. After that, they used a file on my nail then sent me packing. I am in so much pain right now and I have to say it is thanks to you that I realized the nail tech must have been untrained...You and the pain I'm in right now saved me from gping back. I'm not sure if you have, but please consider making a nail care video for those of us who are dealing with the aftercare for bad manicures--I've no idea what to do with these paper thin, aching, and bright red nails :I SUBBED
dontcallmefelicia whenever I remove an old manicure, I *IMMEDIATELY* go in with Julep beauty ‘s Oxygen nail treatment. As long as I keep up with it while the nail grows out, I never have a problem. But you may wanna get some bandaids and neosporin on those first!
I went to sallys and got resin and acrylic. For thin nails, pain resin onto nail. Quickly dip into clear or light pink acrylic. File with 100 grit to smooth. No spray needed. Buff
@@AshleyMcMahon Thank you I will look for this! I got OPI nail strengthener...just not sure how long to wait until putting it on as I assume I should give these nails some rest time.
i would recommend good oils over a strengthener unless you do a lot of labor, because most of the time a strengthener will make the nail TOO hard and it will SNAP instead of bend when there's pressure. @simplynailogical has a great video on how to grow long nails, but really it's great for taking care of nails in general. for a nail oil, mix jojoba oil and vitamin e, those two will do the most for nails specifically (though a good cuticle oil from a store is good too!) and in a pinch, you can use a good quality lip balm like this one www.ulta.com/smiths-rosebud-salve?productId=xlsImpprod12881005. this one www.ulta.com/superfruit-complex-shea-butter-lip-balm?productId=xlsImpprod15691717 is what i happened to have on hand when I was waiting for all of my acrylics to fall off because my last visit had been so bad I just refused to even risk anywhere else. It seems weird, but my nails were just ripping all over the pace they were so thin, and using this I could literally feel the strength coming back.
I use to use this method in the early 80’s but I used acrylic Dip powder on top of the glue to give it strength and a smooth finish. This video brought back so many memories for me in my early years of doing nails! Thank you Susie!!!!❤️💅 Your the best.

Brings me back like 20 years. My old roomie took manicurist classes, and taught me how to do this on top of tips. It was time consuming. This is nice to see that I was doing it right 😉 thanks
Suzie I love your videos! I gave myself a poly gel sculpted full set the other day based off just watching your videos and have gotten so many compliments!!
Yeah, back in the 80's, when I was in manicuring school, we used silk on tips and then applied the acrylic. Thank you so much for doing this video on wraps and mentioning the many ways you can use it. Never thought of building a nail with it . All good to know. Your the best!
I think fiberglass and silk works great for natural nails to give strength or as a temporary set. But unless it’s done with a builder gel I feel the glue/ resin breaks down and cracks too soon.
This video took me back to the 80’s when I was 7yrs old and I would go to the nail salon with my big sister and watch her get silk wrap nails:) thanks for sharing:)
My first set of fake nails were fiberglass in 1992. They didn’t survive a week at band camp. Once I got back home, I started going to a friend’s mom who was newly licensed and got acrylic sculptured nails. (I also got a nice discount for being her son’s Uber for band stuff.) She got me hooked on OPI Nail Lacquer. She passed away a few years ago, but I sent my friend a pic of all of my OPI that I have now thanks to his mom. (Currently at 56 bottles.)
I work at a sally's here in texas and i love watching your videos to learn more but especially when you use products we sell! being able to recommend products i know about and expert videos on how to use them is amazing for the employee and the customer!! Love you Suzie! 💗💗💗💗
Great repair method. I started doing silk and fibreglass in 1997. The secret to doing a beautiful natural looking silk nail is get it close to the edges but not touching and fibreglass will hold with it away from the cuticle. Use a tip and only one layer of either glass or silk, it works like rebar, very strong. Creats beautiful natural thin nails. You need to use resin with the activated which is the smelly stuff and avoid breathing it in; don't lean nover it. It's toxic to the lining in sinuses with continued use. My partner experienced this. She did silk and glass for decades. I love your programs, so hard to find a tech who doesn't cut corners these days and I need one here in northern Canada. I'm retired now with worn out hands :-)
I love acrylics but can't keep up with the fills 😔.. and my natural nails keep chipping! Just need that little bit of extra strength that nail Polish can't provide.
I've been watching Suzie's videos for a few years now and I have to say I am really loving the aesthetic of the videos lately, with the little pop-up comments and the time stamps and everything.
OMG SAME!!!!! I had them ALL the time before I got married and after we married and moved, I can not find anyone here that does fiberglass or silk! They never damage the nails and I LOVE how my nails look with them! Plus so many ppl would compliment on my nails and I tell them, get a silk or fiberglass wrap! They are so so worth it! Now that I have naturally long nails, I’m gonna do this at home!
I used Backscratcher's in the late 80's and a nail tech friend taught me how to cap my natural nails myself. I was thrilled to find it on Amazon and just did my nails this evening. The product (liquid) that's being used in this video looks really thin compared to what I use. It's pretty easy to do yourself.
Hello Susie, when I first started in school for nails in 1989/90 i was taught to do Fiberglass nails & acrylic the Fiberglass was a strengthener with nail tips because of how thin the nails are with just the fiberglass. I love watching your videos. Keep them coming.
Lady Stardust the ones I used the resin was thicker almost like a thin builder gel. It was problematic if it ran to the side!! It was wet until the activator was sprayed and it burned terribly if you were too close or sprayed too heavily.
@@justinallenlindley9796 LOL! Yep, everyone in the '90s who were calling kids of the 70's 'ancient' are now 'ancient' to kids of the 2000s! Amazing how time goes by so quickly...
I love watching her videos. I dont do my nails or get my nails done whatsoever but she has such a calming voice, that suzie is my equivalent to an amsr channel and helps me fall asleep and I alot learn alot at the same time haha
I also started hair and nails in the late '80s. Fiberglass had just come out and I had been using silk and acrylic for a couple of years before that. Doing silk extensions were super easy if you use a light sprinkle of nail powder between layers of silk and glue. The same with fiberglass. I found that of the wrap systems, silk was my favorite. I was the first and only gel nail tech on Long Island in the late '90s when it first came out. That became my product of choice but I still used whatever medium my clients preferred. I retired from salon work in 2001 but have always kept up my license and continuing education. Thanks for your videos. I really enjoy them!
Back in the 90’s, I had fiberglass nails applied. I have thin, soft nails. The first appt, she applied tips and then built with fiberglass. She actually used strips rather than full nail shapes. Once my nails grew out, the fills were just the strips. I loved them! I prefer the natural look, and these were lovely every time. I’ve never had acrylic nails, but now I do my own nails with gel builders. Thanks to NCE, they are looking better every time😊
@@juliefroehlich2897 Yeah it is. But I watched a couple videos about it. It's incredibly fiddly and possibly even dangerous. Fiberglass is actually fibers made from glass. I can't imagine that filing that and having it get in your lungs could be good. Also? You can get SPLINTERS from it. Not for me. No thanks.
I love this tutorial! I used to get these in the 90’s. The most fake natural nail ever! I would love the links to what you purchased so I can try at home❤
I use to wear the silk wraps all the time back in the 80’s! Lots of layers of glue but they lasted forever! Usually we would do the silk wraps over tips and than coat with glue.
Hey there! loved seeing this! I am an old school tech from 1993 ;-) I started in acrylics then did most of my clients in fiberglass. I did start out with this activator system but then hacked my own "system" with gels and silk to make really strong, thin nails! Back in those days we wore screw in nail jewelry! I took a 15 year hiatus, now there is acrygel! Whee! I do intend on revisiting to old methods with todays products. Love you lovely, kind spirit! barbee
In the very early 2000's I was working at a beauty college and was taught that the wraps were to be used to strengthen (or repair) natural nails, to "wrap" an existing nail. Always seemed a bit fussy to me. Interesting video.

Deena Hocks if they’re very strong why should they not extend beyond the free edge without a tip? Is it mostly for getting the right shape? To stop the flare out?
@@helloiamem it's because it's nearly impossible to get a "nail shape" in wet fabric. If you notice in the video, it was wonky until she filed it very short. Also, you only need one strip down center 1/16-1/8" from edges and one small cross strip across the free edge. Then two layers of resin, buff smooth them one final layer of resin. Finish with smooth buffer. And .viola

hi suzie. i’m shay and i have a very important question to ask you... my prom is next saturday April 13th and i want my nails done. a little background about my nails... my natural nails are really long, strong and super pretty...but a couple days ago my thumb nail broke in half and i had to cut all my nails to the same length now they are really short and i want my nails long for prom cause this is my senior year..so what i’m trying to ask is what should i do for my nails to be long and pretty for prom but still keep my nails healthy so that i can wear my natural nails. everyone, can you please like this for me so that suzie can see it and answer. thank you. p.s. if any of you all have advice for me about what to do with my nails.. that would be really helpful.
Go get acrylics or gel from a reputable salon. If you wanna DIY, try the Kiss Dip Kit. It’s easy and lasts a good while, but may take a few hours to apply for beginners. You could do press or glue-ons, but long lengths are harder to find and you risk popping them off. Glue-ons are painful and damage your nail when they get knocked off too.
Thank you so much Suzie for your lovely and informative videos!! You’ve inspired me to build my first ever set of nails a few days ago (which are holding up so nicely!) You’ve awaken my passion for nails and now I have future clients lined up for when I open up my private acrylic nail extension salon. My city has a serious lack of quality nail techs and I can’t wait to build up my skills enough to make a career out of my passion. I’m forever great full to you ❤️
I love your nail videos they're super informative, but your voice is so lovely and soothing I often put your videos on to help me fall asleep, so I have to watch the longer ones that really interest me multiple times to get the whole way through hahaha
mmmcookie23 omg I’m 16 and get acrylics done all the time. Always wanted to try something else but can’t find nail techs that don’t exclusively do acrylics
As someone who has worked with repairing boats and used all kinds of fibreglasses and resins... this really surprises me that you are putting this kind of stuff on your nails! The "Activator" is likely a catalyst for a polyester-type resin (and considering that these things can easily break down in water also suggests polyester over epoxy) and those can easily make you go blind so I am even more surprised that it is in a spray bottle!! The resin "Glue" is also not great. Those fumes are bad too Suzie. It's a neat idea, but I would never recommend this kind of a system to go on your nails or touch any part of your skin directly. I know some may argue here that it's been around for ages and that it wouldn't be used for nails if it wasn't safe, but all kinds of companies make products that are harmful and still get away with it. The resins used for fibreglassing can sensitize your skin to it and after repeated exposure will lead to your skin reacting as if it has a chemical burn. Suzie is right about not filing the fibres though, because then you create fine silica threads and dust that can easily float into your lungs and cause serious damage. If you're going to use this sort of nail system, it is even more important that your work area is well vented and has access to fresh air from outside (not just cycled air via a fan in your home). Not trying to hate, just want people to know that if they want to do this or get this done to do it safely and not often. Love you Suzie! I had no idea this was a thing!
The glue is literally nail glue and the activator is to harden the nail glue quicker. It's not exactly industrial strength glues/resins like the bottle says. If you read what nail glue is vs what is in the bottle she is using of 'glue resin'...it's just brush on nail glue. As far as the fiberglass/silk... It's not the same as fiberglass you use in homes or to mold card attachments.
@@unohoo9637 Wow forgot about this comment! It's still a cyanoacrylate based glue, so like krazy glue and some polyester resins, but this is clearly a two-part system. Its likely polyester resin, just called "glue" for this particular industry as, technically, polyester resin is a glue. Fiberglass is fiberglass, and isn't the biggest concern here in my opinion, but if you file it/sand it down in any way, you're still going to end up with silica fibers becoming aerosolized. Edit to add that the SDS sheets for these 'glues' literally says it will burn you and to keep off skin and rinse eyes and call a physician immediately if it gets in your eyes. Second Edit because not all resins have cyanoacrylate, but this one does say so on the bottle in the video, so it's still bad but may not be a resin now that I look at it. Just wanted to clarify. Always read your bottles haha
Tina W I would love to see that video, but if you need some advice now this is what I do! Cut a small piece of a tea bag (the paper not the leaves lol) Place a dot of nail glue around the break Place the piece of paper on the glue Add a little more glue to make sure the paper doesn’t lift Once dry I buff till smooth as it can be a bit rough!
This is one of the original systems are we going back to them? I personally think back scratchers were the best and grow out nicer than all these new ones..appreciate they are more time consuming.
I was gifted a manicure for my 8th grade graduation and the woman who did my nails used this over a tip and then acrylic I never knew what it was thought she did it because it looked cool lmao

I rarely comment on videos, but i have to express to you my appreciation of your educational videos you are so informative and artistic whenever i have questions I directly come to your videos because you’re the only one i trust you’re also the reason I grew passion and interest in nail craft
OMG I had someone come in and they glued the TEA LEAVES 🍁 instead of a piece of the bag to their nails to fix a crack. 🙄
oh this is hilarious
Omg 😂

Suzie I love your videos!!! I'm a cosmetology student and YOU are my favorite nail teacher. Thank you for your dedication and time 😘
Suzie is right, this is great for repairing and reinforcing natural nails. Since it doesn't add bulk like gel or acrylic, it looks much better with the rest of your natural nails.
Thanks, Suzie, you rock.
I had very long natural nails in the 80/90's and used fibre/silk wraps all the time to repair those disastrous breaks!
Here in Brazil we use fiber glass in strings combined with gel and some professionals like to use the tips also... The adventage is that you can create a very beautifil and natural thin nail design. We Brazilian girls love more natural looks 😊😊
Thank you for the amazing job!!! ❤️
Bianca Iglesias I’ve seen those all over Instagram and love it! I want to find somewhere to order it but I can’t understand some of the listings to do so. They look so beautiful
Buff
U can also do silk wrap like in this video
Does anyone else love how she shows us all these new products, how to use them and different techniques? It almost makes it more than a tutorial
I absolutely love watching Suzie's videos her set design is so super feminine and pretty. Her voice is just so angelic and her music choice is also well thought out and relaxing. Suzie always looks so beautifully put together... I just love her and I wish for the best God bless her and all her endeavors and thanks for making all of us smile😇💅😇💅😇💅
I was having an anxiety attack and I tried to distract myself by watching youtube. Suzie your voice made me feel so calm an focused
I honestly respect people that do this! I don’t have the time nor the patience to do all the steps and wait! Props to you, though, for being so meticulous and thorough!!❤️👍🏼🇨🇦🇨🇦
Thank you!!! FYI - you can use nail forms to help with shaping
Also - using gel resin instead of glue is a much thicker, stronger bond
Suzie’s voice is so relaxing & the music section lol is amazing , aside from the exquisite nail work
I love that you used multiple layers of fiberglass/silk. The other DIY videos just demonstrated using one layer. I love your method
I feel so comforted when watching your videos. You're a saint Suzie
They look incredibly natural, Kudos for that! Loving it
Maybe you should try using the fiberglass with tips. It looks really good with tips
I was thinking this would be an easier method for tips instead of using then with acrylic. Seems fool proof
That’s the way I’ve done them for 30 years!
I think fiberglass and silk works great for natural nails to give strength or as a temporary set. But unless it’s done with a builder gel I feel the glue/ resin breaks down and cracks too soon.
i tried but it doesnt give enough structure and the tips pop off quickly
@@MakaylasLifee thats maybe because you didnt prep your nail correctly or you applied the tip wrong?
Brazilians love fiberglass nails and the manicures that does the right job on this technique charge more than acrylic or regular gel nails
I’ve never had my nails professionally done before, but I admire the artistry and skill involved. 🙂
I would love to try these on myself!!! Thanks Suzie for another awesome and informative video!!!!
Revena Ashkebee with the same wraps that she's using here. I currently have 3 cracked natural nails all repaired with wraps
I miss silk wraps. I used to get them all the time, but then it got hard to find a tech that offered the service.
Same!! I had one nail tech that would make my nails Soo fly! I need nail tech to expand
As a nail technician, I LOVE doing silk wrap overlays. Sadly, there is not much request for it here in my area.
I'm in Balitmore. pm me
Hello Susie, when I first started in school for nails in 1989/90 i was taught to do Fiberglass nails & acrylic the Fiberglass was a strengthener with nail tips because of how thin the nails are with just the fiberglass. I love watching your videos. Keep them coming.
Sooo, it would take like 12 years to finish all 10 nails? xD
Ugly Bag of Mostly Water bahahahaha 😂😂
Ugly Bag of Mostly Water she’s talking a lot at the same time and showing/ telling how to do it
Ugly Bag of Mostly Water tutorials are always a lot slower than actually doing it unless you don’t know what ur doing
Basically... YES. 😅
A lot of her video I have to skip through bc her long drawn out fluff is cumbersome
You explain things very well. I've been trying to figure out the process of it. And with your calming voice... it's just peace. Thanks Suzie! 😊
Suzie, are these like the old school silk wraps that my mom had back in the 90s?
Exactly like them!
"Old school", "90's". Thanks kid, I needed to feel ancient. XD
Lady Stardust the ones I used the resin was thicker almost like a thin builder gel. It was problematic if it ran to the side!! It was wet until the activator was sprayed and it burned terribly if you were too close or sprayed too heavily.
Yep. It was big in the 80's and 90's to do silk wrapped nails.
You make me want to buy all these products just to do them on myself even though I have no nail tech experience whatsoever 😂.
Rebeca Garcia I would fail hardcore💀💀
Omg...me, too! I want it all!
And buy the whole kit TOGETHER versus part and parcel......makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE. Not all product systems are compatible with others.
I naturally have long nails and the tea bag or silk fabric repair really helped me when I accidentally broke or cracked a nail 😅
Thanks to NCE, they are looking better every time😊
Have you seen the strands that people cut off then build on? I’ve seen them on instagram, they actually come up quite often.
Yeah me too!
I thought that was what she was going to do! I saw Nailcou had that on her instagram. I bet she has a youtube video about it.
@@jenthulhu me too! I'm pretty sure those are also fibrrgalss, but idk
Not for me. No thanks.
@@jenthulhu ouch! I hope everyone wears a mask then
I love your channel, your discourse and the fact that you're so thorough and responsive to my questions 😍👀 keep 'em comin' !
My nail instructor would have a fit seeing you use the silk as a duster lol she treated it like gold
Resin is a stronger glue
Hey there! loved seeing this!
I’m big into ASMR and I LOVE your videos.... I first watch with the volume on and then again without the volume and it’s totally eye candy! Love your channel doll, you also do fabulous work! I watch you so often I felt like we’re besties lol Have a great week! xo
I love how she just broke into an English accent and went right back. Glad to know I'm not the only one that does this 😂😂😂
i'm so glad you made this video. I was looking forward to it because i remember i saw this trend pop up on instagram and i thought "Suzie needs to do this"
3:35 she got possessed by a British person for few seconds lol
Tricia’s World 😂☠️
She does it alot💝 love it.
I love Learning frm Suzy. She's always on point when it come to nail career.
I had some top coat years ago by sally Hansen called “hard as wraps” and never understood what wraps were. Now I know!
I enjoy watching your lessons on Nails in general. I have not seen them all as of yet. I'll get there. Great information
I was wondering how do you take that stuff off, would love to see a video on that 😊
With just that? Lol i thought it was much more complicated than that
Nutshell8772 Acetone eats away at everything except glass (and everything in that category), certain plastics, and metal.
Wash dishes
Patricia O 😂😂😂
@@Nutshell8772 Yeah just like w/ acrylics and soak off gels it will come right off with an acetone soak. Check out the Nail'd It channel. She still does silk and fiberglass for clients.
I used to get full fiberglass nails with tips when I was in my 20's. That was around, 19-21 years old. They were my favorite nails. I do Gel nails for myself now, dieing to bring fiberglass back!! Thanks for the nod hun!!
Fiberglass should not extend past free edge without a tip under it. I exclusively did fiberglass nails for about 3 years. They're Very Strong
And .viola
I was thinking that was probably the case. I appreciate your comment!
@EmpressBeauty What? Of course you can extend acrylic passed the free edge without a tip. What are you talking about???
EmpressBeauty you can extend acrylic without a nail tip ...................
ok there's something in your voice and the way you speak that's so relaxing, and you do this in a totally natural way... you have a gift. (suggesting opening an asmr nail education... just.. it)
I do one tea bag layer, cut longer if I want to extend the natural nail, then do acrylic dip powder over the whole thing. 😉 Works great!
I love watching your videos I've been watching for years now
You're like the aunt I always wanted💕
hi suzie. i’m shay and i have a very important question to ask you... my prom is next saturday April 13th and i want my nails done. a little background about my nails... my natural nails are really long, strong and super pretty...but a couple days ago my thumb nail broke in half and i had to cut all my nails to the same length now they are really short and i want my nails long for prom cause this is my senior year..so what i’m trying to ask is what should i do for my nails to be long and pretty for prom but still keep my nails healthy so that i can wear my natural nails.
everyone, can you please like this for me so that suzie can see it and answer. thank you.
p.s. if any of you all have advice for me about what to do with my nails.. that would be really helpful.
Get press ons for that day only easy
Go get acrylics or gel from a reputable salon. If you wanna DIY, try the Kiss Dip Kit. It’s easy and lasts a good while, but may take a few hours to apply for beginners. You could do press or glue-ons, but long lengths are harder to find and you risk popping them off. Glue-ons are painful and damage your nail when they get knocked off too.
Dipping powder is what might be healthier for your nails just because the removal is easier and less damaging to your nails
U can do dip nails for that day
UA-cam dip nails u don't new those expensive kits either
Thank you so much Suzie for your lovely and informative videos!! You’ve inspired me to build my first ever set of nails a few days ago (which are holding up so nicely!) You’ve awaken my passion for nails and now I have future clients lined up for when I open up my private acrylic nail extension salon. My city has a serious lack of quality nail techs and I can’t wait to build up my skills enough to make a career out of my passion. I’m forever great full to you ❤️
I love this stork scissors.I used to work at Sally's and wanted those, but expensive
U can get them on wish for a couple of dollars. They r good quality as well. I collect them
I love your nail videos they're super informative, but your voice is so lovely and soothing I often put your videos on to help me fall asleep, so I have to watch the longer ones that really interest me multiple times to get the whole way through hahaha
The first time ever getting my nails done when I was 16 was silk wrap nails. My mother did not want me to get acrylics. She thought I was too young.
mmmcookie23 omg I’m 16 and get acrylics done all the time. Always wanted to try something else but can’t find nail techs that don’t exclusively do acrylics
Her voice is so calming and soothing
Suzie - Could you do a video that shows us how you do your right hand? I'd love tips for using my non-dominant hand! Thank you so much for all you do!
I find this sooo relaxing to watch. I love that you dont skip ahead, but show us the entire process.
Not a nail question... but which hair spray do you use? Love your hair! 💁♀️
I love watching your videos! Always so informative and the way you talk Lordy! So peaceful!!
You look like Valerie Bertinelli. Your georgous. Your videos are so calming and informative. Love watching.
Could you please show us how to mend a split natural nail? Thanx.
Tina W I would love to see that video, but if you need some advice now this is what I do!
Cut a small piece of a tea bag (the paper not the leaves lol)
Place a dot of nail glue around the break
Place the piece of paper on the glue
Add a little more glue to make sure the paper doesn’t lift
Once dry I buff till smooth as it can be a bit rough!
@@calamitynatalie8590 yes! I do it the same way! There are some powders specifically created for cracked nails ,Orly has this stuff! :)
I just bend the crack alitte bit and put super glue
Once dry file it
Then put clear coat over it
If you use led cures gel polishes at home, Ten Little Canvases has a great repair video.
Thank you all for your tips. I will try them. You guys are awesome!
O wow! You’ve been a nail technician since the ’80s! Wow! You’re the OG! 🤩✨✨✨✨😍😍😍😍
This is one of the original systems are we going back to them? I personally think back scratchers were the best and grow out nicer than all these new ones..appreciate they are more time consuming.
beautifully thin at the cuticle if applied correctly - doesn't need wasted minutes buffing, etc.
I work at Sally's...and IDK why but it makes me so happy to know that Suzie shops there!
I was gifted a manicure for my 8th grade graduation and the woman who did my nails used this over a tip and then acrylic I never knew what it was thought she did it because it looked cool lmao
I think it is a lot more custom!
I used to use silk to reinforce my natural nails and it works great. I had forgotten I did this for years and this reminded me of it.
Greetings from Russia! Like!
This was the first vid I watched of yours
Susie ur one of the best nail technicians I've ever had the pleasure to look at, thank you for teaching us ❤❤❤
