It is so fascinating to hear and see all the ways they communicate. Growling, honking, trumpeting, squeaking, trunk touching and smelling in various ways and places, ear flapping, body language, and probably many more that we can't detect.
They are so happy to be together, so gentle when they touch each other! It makes me smile to see these powerful creatures be so tender to their herd members!
This reunion is simply amazing. We have to understand how much they need to be together, how deep emotions and memory are with them. Their deep rumbling can be heard at quite a distance, right ? Wonder who news of the reunion was being sent to ? The tenderness between Erawan , Bua Jaan and the other elephant puts a lump in my throat. Thank you so very much for showing this to us !
