Albino Baby, Khanyisa’s First Night in the Elephant Homestead! 🐘☀️

- The moment you’ve been waiting for! Khanyisa returns from the bush with the herd and it’s straight to four lined-up milk bottles that she heads, along with sweet potato chunks and grass! The other elephants enjoy their snacks under the canopy, as we supplement their feed with extra green grass, bana grass and Lucerne.
There is some commotion as the team carry Khanyisa’s bucket of food closer to the canopy - something the herd is very unfamiliar with and Tokwe gets a fright! There is trumpeting and an immediate huddling as the elephants encircle Khanyisa, who gets scared by the activity and heads toward the orphanage.
Tigere suggests the humans get out and leave it to the elephants to manage, as they know best and are now in charge of raising Khanyisa. Tokwe has accepted other orphans before, such as Jabulani, Timisa and Kumbura, and knows what’s best. But it’s still a shock and slightly nerve wracking to hand Khanyisa over to them.
It’s a big moment for us and the elephants show they have Khanyisa’s best interests at heart as they keep her safe just as they do in the bush. They escort her to the canopy area to feed with them. A heartwarming moment for us!
The sun starts to set as the herd settle down with their newest member for the evening ahead!
So amazing to see the group lead Khanyisa to the canopy.
Yes, good luck K, well done thanks to all who worked so hard to help this little angel. Bless you all.
It took almost three years for a dedicated team of people who worked so long & hard, put in so much time & effort to get Khanyisa where she is today. She’s happy, healthy & so full of life. You gave her that chance. All of the wonderful people at HERD, you are the heroes of these sixteen beautiful Elephants! ❤️
well said and agreed!!
100% agree
I agree
I totally agree👍
Just so wonderful and amazing!
These elephants get premium care. When they get back from a day of browsing and swimming, they have fresh bana grass and Lucerne to nosh on until morning when they will go back out. They have a nice dry area to go to if it rains and a nice big pile of dirt to lean against if they choose to lie down. Elephants generally sleep standing up because lying down can be problematic. So, a large pile of earth to lie against is a perfect in-between solution for resting for them. Clean water, medical care, and lots of love go towards giving these ellies a great quality of life! Bravo to everyone working and supporting this rescue/sanctuary!💟🐘💟
Such an emotional time for you all. The way the herd enveloped her and took her to the canopy was so powerful - thought my heart would burst (cried a little too)! She truly has her family and you all made that happen. You should be so proud of yourselves. 💙💙💙
Same here , 💕💕💕💕💕💕😘
Isn't that the truth! I was so not ready for this but as soon as the herd brought her in with them and she went naturally...you just can't deny it. It is where she is meant to be.
What a great, blessed, bunch of carers. In the back ground, you make it all happen. Thank you.
And then hear Adine say in the background " al least we now know they wont hurt her" , the worry in her voice, the concernd mama.
I know how it feels, to let a little one ( child) go.

So beautiful what nurturers
We can learn a lot from these magnificent animals. 💖
Khanyisa really was ready for this momentous time, and so were the herd - it was seamless for them - they are a complete family now - its beautiful. 💜💜
I didn't realize that any slight change, or a bucket, could alarm the herd like that. But then the herd escorted Khanyisa back to the canopy as if to say: *you have given Khanyisa to us, your task is complete. She is our responsibility now. She is safe and very Loved. WOW!!* Thank you Tigere, Tich, Last, and Adine 💕
I have a feeling that when Tokwe saw them move K's bucket toward the herd, that maybe she realized this was the handover. I think she was emotionally overwhelmed for a few moments.
@@susanvaughan4210 Sounds right to me. They say elephants are a lot like humans, I believe it.
Wonderful, loving, amazing creatures. Ellies are the very best. Love them all forever!

@@bluediamond4740 Same here Blue Diamond, I love them and all good souls that protect them. Best wishes 💕
I know Adine must have been emotional during this transition ❤
When they gathered her and walked to the covered area it seemed all was well. They will take over now.
Aww this actually brought a tear in my eye. She is such a big girl now
That just about made me cry! They just took Khanyisa under their care like to say "she's ours now.we got this!" Just beautiful example of love! They act as if she had been there all along & I think that's why it was such an easy transition for Khanyisa. I pray the rest of the evening is just as natural & easy for her! Thank you so very much for sharing this special event with us! God bless y'all for all the work & loving care you put into these ellies!
wow. the way they led her to the night shelter was amazing and emotional to watch..as if they say from now she will be safe with us
Wow! Such a protective movement… “We got this: she’s ours now. You’ve done your job well.”
And how kindly was Tigere when he asked Adine, “Are you ok?” 🥰
I'm not gonna cry...oh, who am I kidding?! Watching them take her back with them to the shelter was beautiful and natural. They truly do love her!!
Oooooh! What a moment !she does look so accepted. My, have you guys prepared this blessed moment so well, from the beginning. What a mixture of emotions you, beloved Adine, and carers must be feeling 💗🙏🐘💗
Amazing how the elephants knew what to do, once Kanysia was on their side of the fence, what a thrilling full circle experience! Thank you and to al carers for the wonderful job you do
It truly is...like when they perceive danger anger take their positions, perfectly
The way they surrounded Khanyisa and took her in under the canopy!1 WOW What a beautiful moment.
It really was! “Come home now little one”. 🥲
This video touches the heart. The wonderful love and care shown to these elephants is outstanding AND the elephants know it too.
That moment when they surrounded Khanyisa was if the herd was saying, 'Don't worry! We'll take good care of her from here!' Just fantastic.
What a emotional moment.
Thank you so much for filming this historical event with such a beautiful elephant and the family who loves her so much.
What an incredible moment, so happy they’re all settled in together now ❤
That was a little fright with the bucket being moved closer to the canopy…Maybe wild animals are very observant of even slight changes in their environment in order to ensure their saftey… And for Adine it must have been really a feeling of literally 'letting Khanyisa go‘, seeing the backs of them walking towards the canopy with Khanyisa in their midst…really touching. But with her and the carers still around, protecting them like mother and brothers and fathers, giving the elephants a feeling of safety, made it easy for Khanyisa to enter the world of the grown-ups. Adine & Co, always the best friends of baby eles and the whole herd. It seems the older elephants understood on the spot and Khanyisa joined in right away. And the carers do know a lot about eles and have trust in their well-functioning social life. Thank you so much for taking us along on this adventure❣ Not thinking in any way that the nursery will soon be needed again, but reassuring to know it's there to welcome another little ele in case of need.
You still the best
Those mama Ellie’s grabbed the little baby and took her straight back with them to the shed - where she belongs - I think she was good and ready to be a big girl now - perfect handover by everyone 🐘💕❤️
It was a perfect handover!💗
I feel badly for them when they feel worried but I love to see how they all come together to protect the littlest one and each other. ❤️
You couldn’t of scripted that any better. A disturbance that the elephants needed to sort out, and they took her under their protection and walked her home. Just wonderful ❤️
That was the most heart-warming thing I've ever seen. When the herd took control of Khanishas care 😭🥰
Wasn't that amazing? They knew exactly what they were doing. ❤️❤️❤️
I had tears in my eyes.
That was such an amazing heart warming moment!❤😘❤🌿

Pure magic! Thank you all at HERD for making this possible & for giving a lost, sad, hurt little ellie reason to smile again. The world loves you all!
🐘❤🐘❤️🐘❤️🐘❤️🐘
She’s safe and comfy. Tomorrow is her journey for life with her herd. It’s been wonderful watching her grow. 🙏🥰💖
Many many thanks for this video. It was absolutely lovely how these Ellies have taken Khanyisa in there midst and ambled back to the stables. ❤ Perhaps they thought, now there, little one, we take you fully under our trunks? It seems so. Thank you all for making this possible and caring for those beautiful creatures! 🧡I'm looking forward to seeing more of the HERD.
Tigere is so knowledgeable, it's amazing the way they all move instantly to protect their baby. Thank you so much for filming this beautiful moment. Cheers Rosemary Perth Western Australia
Omgosh such an astonishing moment being able to witness khanyisa’s entry into the rest of her life with her family. Thank u so much for taking us all along. ❤🌸
That little bit of nervousness brought them out and then they brought her in and welcomed her home without the carers having to guide the process. Wonderful.
And they received her into their care. She's in good hands. ♥️♥️♥️
After Tokwe trumpeted, it hurt to see Khanyisa face back towards the orphanage and take a few steps in fear and confusion. She looked so very pink and scared as she looked toward the orphanage. The elephants noticed right away how very different it was where Khanyisa ate. Perhaps Tokwe worried Khanyisa was being taken somewhere and reacted. Khanyisa stayed outside from her cluster of elephants a moment I think still looking at Adine, her human carers and the orphanage before giving herself to the elephants’ trunk caresses and entering the safety offered in the middle of them. What a nice loving escort she then had to the homestead for her first family dinner. 🍽
I started watching nervous and so intrigued. It was almost like watching a action film, just tense and waiting for what comes next. I've been waiting for this moment for weeks, anticipating Kanysias first moments realizing she's staying with the beautiful herd instead of heading away from them to the orphanage. They got spooked (Happy Halloween) but quickly calmed and just led our baby off with them as tears streamed down my face. Happy tears as the beautiful girl I've watched for almost 3yrs is now fully one of them, the herd. Thank you to all involved for making this day happen. The elephants are blessed to have you and we are blessed to watch them.
I didn't cry until i read your comment..so beautifully articulated
@Brandy Bremner
What a perfect comment. Well said...
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you Sonia Downey and Blue Diamond for your lovely compliments. They made my heart smile. 🥰
Ok so the lump in my throat the past few days knowing our baby is heading out on her new adventure has subsided. Seeing her come in for her bottles/sweet potatoes and grass was heartwarming. Knowing her elephant family will protect her even from a "box"is beautiful to see and so reassuring. .
I'm sure it's hard to let go Adine/caretakers but you raised a strong, brave girl and I know you must be proud of her. The 🌎 is proud of her.
Thank you for this lovely video and blessings to all.
❤️🐘❤️🐘❤️🐘❤️🐘
What an absolute wonderful happening, except for the bucket, totally understand that that caused alarm. That they saw Khanyisa get frightened herself but as in the bush they came to surround her and make sure there is no danger to the lil one. Interesting that her bottles and feed did not seem to worry them because of that being out of routine. But she is now fully integrated, hope she likes her new mattress 😂😊❤. Huge congrats Adine and all the team of carers for what you have done in saving this lil pink ellie and the rest of the HERD 👌👏❤️
I’m sure many of you can agree that this moment brought back memories of the first day of Kindergarten! As your child is carried away by their new group, happy and thrilled to be part of something new and exciting, you are stuck in the doorway, watching it all unfold, while blubbering and feeling silly. 😂. It sounds like Adine was having one of those moments. Bless Tiger for giving her what sounded like much needed hugs and reassurance that Princess Khanyisa is indeed in loving hands. Thanks to everyone at HERD for this amazing day! From a tiny little baby, nearly killed by the snare, to this happy, HEALTHY and fully healed pink princess, finally joined with her family. Well done HERD!
For any of you who still may be wondering - YES THEY KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THIS DAY IS for our little Princess, just as they did the moment they each met her. Elephants instincts and attention to others and what they are feeling (empathy in human terms) I would argue is far more advanced and sensitive then ours. Trust me, THEY KNOW everything and more about little Khanysia, how special she is, how important her move is, and this is why they act the way they do that continues to keep us as a species marveled. Ele's will literally sniff out a paper cut on our finger under layers of clothes that no one else could possibly see not because they are shark-like and smell blood, but because they can sense an injury and change in a humans behaviors (no matter how small) and instinct tells them to protect and help if they can. Absolutely remarkable they are. Tigere per usual is so amazing to listen to... Elephants hands down are some of the best parents and family on the entire planet. Their ability to protect is unparalleled.
Very well spoken @Her Misadventure.👍❤️🐘
@@susanmorris5520 Thank you. I had to add after watching it again. Did anyone else get very emotional the minute Tokwe literally took her by the truck and guided her back into their home along with the rest of the family? I have been watching (and fostering) a few of them including our Princess since day 1 and I am over here blubbering like a baby... I had flashbacks of her little pink body when she first got there with that green cream on her where her wounds were healing.......what a beautiful moment again captured for us to see and witness just like we are there like we have been since day one. Cutting onions for sure. I love all of you carers, god bless ALL OF YOU, look at what you have done and helped to do and create......... I have no words.
@@hermisadventures8142 WOW!! What a beautiful thing you said on your message to me but, I’m just a watcher from the USA and I too had watched when Khanyisa and Fenya first came to the Orphanage and what bad shape they were in and I also know too the blue/green stuff that had to be on Khanyisa’s wounds and the one around her neck that the snare was around and I cried all the time while Adine and her Carers were rehabilitating her and Fenya but unfortunately Fenya lost her battle and must have had no more fight in her too and passed. But however, with the spunk and willpower that Khanyisa had and still has and the love from Adine and her Carers too is why she is still with us today and so very strong too. I haven’t watched the video of Khanyisa going to her new night spot but I never had any doubt that the elephants were gonna be there for her and watch over her too.❤️🐘 I have learned too that they are so very intelligent and know how to take care of their own and they also watch out for the humans too that have taken care of them from the beginning. Take care and hugs to you friend. God bless always! Sue M.❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🙏🏻🥰😘⭐️🌸🌼❌⭕️
I’m new to the channel as of yesterday and the first video I saw was of them getting Phabeni from the yard of the lady that wouldn’t let the game wardens(?), or whoever they were, shoot him! And after watching that video, I went to the comments and read a thread from people all over the world saying how excited they were for this little guy getting rescued by this amazing group of people. They spoke so highly of the carers and Aldine that if I hadn’t already liked, subscribed, shared, and commented because of the video, I would have just to be in with this awesome group of people that have been following this channel because of how amazingly kind and wonderful they sounded in their comments….just like you two! So I am now so honored to be a part of this HERD!
P.S. Now all I’ve been doing the last 24 hours is binge watching every video and short that this channel has put out. I’m now going to find Khanyisa and Fenya’s story so I can know how far she’s come to this point. Which by the sounds of it is nothing short of miraculous! Thank you for making me even doubly sure I want to be part of this community. Blessings to you both and I’m honored from Western Massachusetts! 🙏🥰
Tokwe’s trumpeting “she’s finally home!”❤❤
I started crying after he said “We need to let the elephants take over raising Khanyisa now.” 10:01 What a bittersweet moment!! It was almost as if they were waiting for this day to come. They didn’t hesitate to protect her and welcome her in.
Me too! Watched it twice. Thank everyone for all your compassion and hard work.
Lovely to see the eles taking Khanyisa back with them to the canopy - it's as if they know that from now on, she is with them in their care at night as well as in the day. Certainly an awesome, tear-jerking moment. And Khanyisa looks so happy and content under the canopy - as if she has been there at home for years. ❤❤❤❤🐘🐘🐘🐘Thanks again to the carers and to Tigere - he is a real pro and always shows such wisdom and a real understanding of the eles.
Final thoughts on such an emotional experience!
😂 my third comment 30 minutes! It takes a village, a human herd and an elephant herd to raise Khanyisa, little sunshine! Kinda feels like a child on their very first day of school, except this is somewhat bigger. The human herd is passing over majority of care to elephant herd. Adine and carers, outstanding job, simply incredible. I know you feel joy for a job so well done, yet, losing your more intimate contact with her……kind of bittersweet! I hope you all give each other well deserved hugs to each other! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗, my hugs to you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done to help keep her thriving, for the elephant herd for teaching her skills handed down from generation, and to Khanysia’s indomitable spirit!
I’M A BIG GIRL NOW!!!!
God bless everyone…
Victoria - who promises this is my last post! Going to try to sleep now!!!
Beautifully said, Victoria! My 3rd post here,LOL!
Unbelievable!! I was so moved when Adine and everyone backed out to let the herd figure this out on their own without interference...they immediately took Khanyisa back to the stables with them.. WOW!!!! I'm so impressed with the instinct that these care takers have!!! Bless you all for this triumphant stage.
Astounding how Tokwe took care of Khanyisa right away, caressing/reassuring the baby w/her trunk, joined by Kumbura, Limpopo, Timisa & Fishan. -
I think it was not only the small bucket which cause the commotion but also the ellies ‘sensing’ the humans concern, anxiety, regarding K’s move. Tigere had it right: ‘let’s move out, the ellies will handle the situation’. I never thought they would harm our little princess. They had protected her all the time & will continue to do so… Wonder what was on our princess mind & of course, like everyone here, waiting for the latest news.
HERD, your amazing team hard work, from Adine to carers made all this possible! Thanks from the bottom of my heart! 💖🐘
I know this was a hard but easy thing to do. Letting your baby go and grow. It's like when your baby gets there first home with out you. I know y'all are proud and excited .. the whole world has waited for this video. I for one thank you for sharing this next step in her journey .. it was heartwarming to this ... Thank you for all yall have done and continue to do for all of them.
It was so heartwarming to see the Ellies surrounding little miss Sunshine when she was frighten and handle the situation at best Each one has his role from wonderful Matriarch Tokwe Gentleman Fishan Limpopo and Pisa Tokwe's daughters Kumbura most dedicated allomother and little sister Timisa
Thanks also to the very good job done by Adine, for which it must be so heartbroken to leave her Pink Baby even if she knows her Ellies Family will do a good job, and the so dedicated carers Team lead by Tigere We all 💖 you
I thought it was touching that Adine set up the bottles for her Meisiekind for this "ceremonial" first night with her favorite sweet potatoes. It gave Adine one last personal moment with her girl before Khanyisa joined her ellie family. After that small commotion, it was Tigere who reassured Adine that the herd will not hurt little K but will now take over to raise her. As the video ends, we all see with Adine and the carers that our little Braveheart has fit right in and all is well.
For Timisa it’s also nice to have her friend aside her at night.
They love and protect her just as Adine does and they are helping her know that she is a valuable member of the herd. So beautiful. ❤️
It’s like letting your teenage daughter spend the night at her friends house for the first time. Concern, but love at her growing up to join her own kind. Well done HERD for taking such good care of these truly beautiful creatures.
O
Well, there we go again! I just downed a bottle of goat’s milk before watching this - appearing almost identical in style to Khanyisa! No sweet potatoes, grass or leaves though. I am only part ellie. Momentous day indeed. Thank you to Adine and the carers for being such good “mothers” to get this girl to the point she can now be a full time part of her herd. 🎃 🙏 🐘 ❤
That was very reassuring! To see the herd protect their little 😇 Khanyish! Love 💙 and 🫂 hugs to Adine, Tich, Last and Tigere for caring for these gentle 🐘 giants.
Take care 🌷💞🌺🍀💚🌻💛
Amazing animals. So majestic. Everything they do is of a higher order. I bow with respect. 🙏
I think she was not completely comfortable till torkwe came to give her some reassurance, as she moved to the canopy glued to her side:) so sweet
So heartwarming to see them guide Kanysia back to the homestead!!!
And just like that, they walk her away from you! Claiming 🌞.
What a long road you've all traveled to get her to this day & with all of your efforts, dedication, love, caring, donors to get her there.
Bravo! 👏🐘 👏 👏
That was scary and beautiful at the same time, our little pink princess has a real family like she should.Adine and your staff should all be very proud of what you have done for her. You saved her life and gave her a second chance to belong😀
They have saved each and every one of the herd. Even the babies born there.❤
Wow! I had such a lump in my throat watching them surround her and take her 'home'. It's incredible how sensitive they are the slightest little change, but it looks like she took it all in her stride and got right on with eating her dinner with her family. Where did she end up sleeping? Did she take to her sand 'mattress' and who did she cuddle up to?
I'd love to find out as well ..here's hoping
and basically told Adine, "OURS NOW!"
This was so heartwarming to see the herd taking care of Khanyisa. She is a full member of the herd now, a big girl, so precious ❤
You've all done SUCH a wonderful job!! Blessings to you and your families for your dedication and selflessness in caring for these magnificent creatures!! You're right, Tigere, she's in good hands and now they must raise her. There are so many wonderfully kind personalities among them, they will do a great job of it!! Thank you for sharing this with us!!
I also echo that! Tears of joy 🙄♥️🐘🐘🐘
At 09:00, Tokwe gives Khanyisa a gentle touch on the trunk while taking steps back. Seems that everyone understands this gesture: "Child, come this way. Walk with us, the moment has come." It is impressive that Tokwe can immediately understand Adine's special behavior in this new, different situation. As Tigere says, they took the initiative. It was quick, only took a few seconds.
Love the way Fishan backs-up 'the girls'. They knew that Khanyisa needed the reassurance of the group and calmly dealt with the situation.
I wasn’t worried for one second how the elephants would react! Never thought for a moment they might hurt her. I’m surprised Andine said that. Of course, she knows more about these things than I ever will. I was more concerned about Khanyisa, but she just took it in her stride. Thank you for sharing this Andine and Tigere for his wisdom. He knows his Ellies well. All is well on the homestead tonight ; my heart is full. She will be safe there in her family’s loving care (trunks). How I love this herd. 🥲❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
So no more buckets right :) I'd say things went very well and it is abundently clear Khanyisa is a full fledged member of Jabulani Herd now :) Well done everyone
All so natural. All so meant to be ❤
I cried so much when she was picked up and taken away, but I think she's fine and that's how you have to accept it. Thanks to Adine, the Carers and everyone who was so good to her, including her two sheep friends. I hope we can continue to see videos of Khanyisa and everyone. Many thanks and greetings from 🙋♀️🇦🇹 😘
Definitely want to continue seeing Khanyisa, hope that doesn't change!
I know that Khanyisa has grown to another step in her life and that she's near all that's familiar to her but she's growing up so fast! I remember when I saw her the 1st time a care giver was walking her to the bush with an umbrella over her little body. I immediately called my sister in California to tell her she just had to watch the baby. Thanks to all and the hard work involved during her 1st year of healing done by you and all the care givers for the help of bringing her back from the brink.
I was wondering if Khanyisa would hesitate or simply walk toward the orphanage, but that last minute scare drew out several elephants to protect her, then they simply guided her to the canopy w/them...Wow! Such an AWESOME moment! 💞
You could not have planned it better...

She is theirs now. Wise of Tigere to just let the elephants take control. Nice greeting from from K's special pal, Timisa. Adine--you are a brave and dedicated woman! That must have been hard. Oh my, very emotional time, but all is well.🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🙏😇🥰🥰🥰🥰
So amazing when they lead Khanyisa to the canopy. Beautiful image.
Tokwe now has five girls. ❤️💕🥰
I wonder how Khanyisa and Lundi’s relationship will develop from now on.
Tokwe bless your heart with five girls, my parents eight girls.
Lundi is right next to the fenche
Oh so great to see this, they took her under their trunks, no looking back voor Khanyisa but looking forward. Welcome home little princess. It made me cry but it were tears of joy.
Oh my goodness. I'm excited for Khanisha and everyone. I'm sure it will go well ❤️
Thanks for your help and support for all these precious lives. Thanks for your special care for khanisa ❤️. I still cannot watch her today not going to her beloved rooms. Almost cry. But that's the way I feel for all animals. Be happy forever khanisa ❤️. Hi lammie ❤️ hi numgu ❤️. Hi all of you 🍀
That was the most exciting 14 minutes I've had in ages! 😆 It was amazing how freaked the herd became with the presence of a bucket...something simple & non-threatening in our world but to them it's alien & therefore a potential threat. It was easy to see from that experience how quickly the situation could become dangerous for Adine & the carers when the herd's senses are heightened at alert level. Thank you for letting us into their world. I hope Khanyisa has a happy & peaceful sleep knowing she is surrounded by her kin. 🥰🙏❤🐘
(I wonder what Lammie & Nungu are thinking & doing right now!) ❤️🐑
It feels like sending your baby off to school for the first time.
The way Tokwe leads Khanyisha into the homestead... chills down my spine. 🤗What a lovely, caring, wonderful matriarch. Khanyishe has found her true family.
Of courses, straight to the milk bottles. Bless her. 🐘❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍
Yup, I’m now crying, to see the elephants turn around and lead her back to the stables really got me. Such a beautiful and amazing sight to see. I have watched almost from the beginning and quickly fell in love with her and everyone at HERD and Jabulani. It has been such a pleasure learning and watching the videos. I can’t thank u all enough for sharing these videos. I’m excited to see her next chapter. 💜☮️🥰
Me too 😭🏴
*THERE MUST BE A SPECIAL PLACE IN HEAVEN FOR THOSE WHO HELP ANIMALS IN NEED. GOD BLESS YOU !!!*
Tigere is a wise man - get out of the way when the elephants are animated and let them sort it out. It is astonishing how they realised it was time for Khanyisa to join them when they lead her to the homestead. How does that information communicate to them?
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I didn't realize that a change of routine would startle the elephants like that.
And then when they lead her over to their area ... I felt like I was witnessing something sacred.
Wow. Such a big step.
❤️❤️❤️
Tigere is like an angel.
💞✨🌿🐘The Jabulani herd, instinctively supplied all the care and protection, necessary for a smooth transition into their homestead.
My heart was in my mouth initially then, the trumpeting and fully enfolded and harmonising, whilst they eat their supper and settle in together for the night. 🐘
💙WOW!🎉❤
🤩💕Adine, Tigere and all at HERD members, this was wonderfully planned and orchestrated, knowing the Jabulani herd would be as proactively ready to absorb their pinky, ray of sunshine into the family, fully. We appreciate you each day 🥰💝
And there you have it. A very easy integration into the herd, with 100% acceptance. Like a puddle of water being lapped up by the ocean. So very beautiful! ❤
Beautiful to see how loved Khanyisa is, no doubt her HERD family will protect her! Thank you very much Adine for sharing, wishing you all a very good day! Lots love from Canada ❤️🐘❤️
Wow! That was quite the moment, when Tokwe and the others gathered around Khanyisa then 'escorted' her back to her new home with them ❤ Testament to all the care and love, and hard work put in by Adine and the fabulous HERD team, not just on Khanyisa but the whole Herd as well. Loved Tigere's calmly confident words as little Miss Pinky followed Tokwe and the ellies back to the canopy 😊 And Khanyisa certainly seemed very 'at home', even ready to play with sweet Timisa ❤🐘❤
She is so precious and plucky!
Wow is amazing to see how protective of her just one night staying with the group, such love towards her gives me tears, thank you to the whole team of workers, with your blood and sweat effort, God bless
That was FREAKING AMAZING! The females quickly understood the assignment. They protected and guided Khaniysa into their homestead. Also amazing was how easily it was for Khaniysa to follow this change, without hesitation. Khaniysa is a brave little elephant. Khaniysa seemed trusting, brave and daring from the very start. I can't wait to see more. These videos bring me much joy. Thank you for sharing.❤️❤️❤️
And look at our gentleman Fishan came and stayed to reassure that all was well and "all right".
Yes, Fishon is always impressive. He seems to love his girls and he keeps the young boys in line.❤️
Wonderful just wonderful. May God bless and protect them all!
That was just a beautiful transition. Khanyisa is a full fledged member of the HERD. How sweet that was. Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience and doing all that you do for these great animals.
Спасибо большое Adine и Вашему коллективу за такой благородный труд.
I was amazed at how the bucket (as you said - a change from the routine) turned into such a blessing. The moment of concern really allowed the herd to take Miss Sunshine home with them. It really was awe inspiring. Love to you all for doing such good work.
I’ve been anxiously waiting for this video and I had a feeling I wasn’t going to be able to get through without crying. You’ve given a home to a beautiful family, Khanyisa and her elders at HERD are going to be okay. ❤😊🐘🙌🏾
Ok, after the commotion, respiration getting back to normal lol😊. I know this is how it’s supposed to be, it my stomach feel like there are jumping beans in my stomach! I’m wondering how sunshine will feel, her first night not in the nursery. Where and who will she sleep with? Will she have straw on the ground like in the nursery? Oh my, so many questions running through my head……. I’m sure it’s somewhat anxiety provoking for Adine and her awesome carers..how could it not??? Hugs 🤗 to human herd!!
Altho, I just smiled seeing her playing with Timisa. Will there be further videos showing how she is during her first night? {{{Gentle hugs, my little one 💕🐘🥰😘}}}

I believe she will sleep with Tokwe, Kumbura, Pisa, Timisa and Fishan in their group. How cool was it that they were the ones who came to protect Khanyisa after the "bucket" fright. They took her to the canopy and now she is theirs. Maybe they will sleep on the big "mattress" sand hill?
I almost die! The unexpected commotion! Good Lord! Now, she's got a real family! Thanks to your marevellous equipment! From Morelia, Michoacán, México. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
It was time and everybody knew it. It went so smoothly
Wow! That was amazing. I have always loved elephants (I say they are my spirit animal) but to watch them react like that and then just calmly move her into their enclosure was mind blowing to me. No matter if they are blood or not their sense of family is unsurpassed. The world could learn so much from these wonderful beings ❤️
She still looks so small 😥🥰
🥰🥰.. Hugs & Kisses to the "Marvelous HERD" .. It is So-Comforting to Witness This Special Embracing-Moment .. (07:28) .. They are Saying "She Belongs With Us" ... I Am Certain That the "Whole HERD" Will Take Good Care of "Khanyisa" .. 🥰🥰
As Khanyisa is “walked up the isle” flanked on either side by big sisters melts my heart every time. It looked ceremonial. It makes a beautiful snap shot of elephant❤
