How to remove the bottom bracket if Loctite 641 was used during installation? Heat the bottom bracket to a temperature of 250? It may damage the carbon frame.
As a retired Loctite industrial rep, who also rebuilds all my road and gravel bikes l, it’s nice to see proper use of our products in a bike shop. RC 641 was one of my favourite products and originated in Ireland and brought over to North America many years ago. Just be careful not to touch the surfaces that have primer (SF 7471) on them with your fingers. As to the videographers question of where to use a threadlocker, I use 222MS (purple) on water bottle cage screws, some rear derailluer dropouts and even some internal threaded headsets. I rode with a buddy today who has an S5. It was interesting to see what this install involves. Thanks again for the post.
I was sweating so hard installing the BB hearing the clicking. That last crack also gave me a heart attack installing my BB, it made my ears ring, I thought for sure I broke the frame but everything was all good.
I have exactly the same problem with my Caledonia after 6 months and only 2600km (and zero wet weather riding). I even bought it with a Wheels Mfg BB hoping that would prevent this 😡😡
Yes! As well, from an aesthetic point of view the black anodized angular design really suited this bike. Last summer I rode the bike a little less than normal due to Covid restrictions but it has not creaked or squeaked even with hard sprint climbing efforts since. The bearings are also in really good shape and have not needed to be replaced yet.
Did you need a special tool from hambini to install the bb or your shop or any other bike shop would be equipped with the proper tool to install hambini Bb?
The alignment tools/cups come included with the Hambini BB. The only tools you need is an M12 stud bar, nuts and maybe washers and a set of spanners. If you want to remove the bearings from the BB or take out the entire BB out of the frame I'd recommend buying the additional tools from Hambinis website. They are not too expensive and worth it so you can service the bearings and take out the BB if necessary without damaging the frame or BB. Just have a look at Hambinis website were he lists everything that is important for installation/service/removal: www.hambini.com/technical-support/hambini-bottom-bracket-installation/
I call Bullshot on Hambini. He's said before he only rides out of necessity. A Cervelo with ENVE wheels and fully hidden cables is not a ride for the nonchalant rider. He rides because he likes to ride.
That was quite therapeutic! The mechanic needs a pat on the back, he did everything that I would do without swearing as well.
This is the best way to ruin your frame. Compounds and stupidity goes together.
He really did a great job, even though Cervelo sucks!

I have seen the crankarm fall off and hook on my buddy's shoe 😵💫 good job installing the BB
Loctite 641 is the bomb for any press fit it’s a retaining compound
Don't you have to use Loctite 7471 primer before retaining compound?
9/10 video. Lost a point for not doing a spin test at the end without the chain attached
I've the caledonia-5 and after 2 months approx 800km it's creaking already🤯🤯🤯
That is not good to hear…I have the same bike…

What loctite and primer are you using
Hello lady, do you still like the BB?

Why in the hell did Cervelló create a bb like this? Isn't enough with bb86, bb30, pf30. Lol
Hola qué medida de BB necesito para una biela de ultegra?
He wouldn't have done the last adjustment if no one was watching. Typical.
Cervelo BB's SUCK. Good move.

Not his bike, not his video. I do not comprehend your comment - can you help?
