      Although the banner of gradual change seems reasonable enough it’s never fast enough. Things have improved, living conditions are way better now than before. But proportionally inequalities have grown worse and with that change becomes more difficult. As much as I doubt the viability of violent revolutions for actual good the status quo terrifies me more as it’s quickly heading in a very dark direction

    12:43 If you look carefully, you can see some brown rust on the door handle. I wonder if that's an oversight or an artistic choice on the developer's part.
    If the latter, I think they should make the struggle in Parlov's room more subtle. Tidy up the room to keep up the facade but keep the crooked painting...
    Then have small drops of red on the desk to show that Parlov was attacked and possibly killed.

      @@hellosammy4105 Boomers lived long enough ago that many of them actually had some quality of life. They had jobs that could allow a single breadwinner to raise an entire family on a clear conscience, they could afford to buy a home outright rather than being enslaved to a landlord, they had retirement plans and pensions rather than having to squeeze blood from a stone to have a few dollars in a 401k. Boomers had better than this. No, this is our life. Maybe its dressed up as retail for some of us but its our life.

    • @hellosammy4105
      @hellosammy4105 Рік тому

       @Hectonkhyres Lmao. What quality of life when there were no air-conditioning, smartphones, and internet? And you can raise a family now on a minimum Walmart wage. Many do. Most people outside your first-world bubble do it with far less. Go to Bangladesh and get some pointers from a 17-year-old plantation worker with 3 kids and a wife if you're so clueless about it. It really doesn't take much to raise a family. Be honest, you just don't want to do it because it requires sacrifices. And what do you mean buy a home outright? On a rural farmland maybe. Home mortgages were a thing back then too. Again, you can still do it now. Work and save for 10 years then go buy a shed outright and conscience free out in bumfuck Nebraska so you don't have to be 'enslaved' by a landlord. Hell, there are even townships in Alaska that would literally pay you to go live there. Again, it's not that it can't be done. You just won't do it. Yeah, they had retirement, pensions, 401k, etc... You know how they got that? By working for a wage all their life, duhdoi! If you seriously thought boomers had life handed to them on a platter, you're beyond hope. I look at how my grandparents/parents work and it send chills down my spine. They ran their own business so there are no set hours. They wake up 5am in the morning to get us kids prepped then throw themselves to work far beyond 5pm. Sometimes shit happens at 10pm and off they go. They work saturdays too. Sundays were their only day off and they go to church in the morning then crash at home to recharge till evening only to do the same again next week. Compared to them I now work from home, most days in bed, on a laptop paid by my company, 40 hours a week, full weekends with yearly leave, sick leave, grievance leave, etc. It's amazing how some people think life used to be better. I guess it's true what they say, grass is greener on the otherside and all that. Particularly when the grass is from the past and you weren't even there. LMAO.
