For some reason all these gaming channels feel like the person playing has never played a video game before, it's unreal. MKFireAndIce is probably the most famous. He can spend up to an hour stuck on a simple problem, and plays with the most twitchy mouse ever. Makes gameplay videos give you epilepsy even if you don't have epilepsy, it's SO bad, and he's such a brainlet. But they all load their videos with a million ads, which reveals their motivation I guess.
This gaming channel has zero voiceovers, zero intros or outros, hell it doesn't even have cheesy editing.
Just pure niche gameplay. I respect that.
There’s only a few channels I watch with commentary for the main game, but honestly sometimes it’s nice to see just gameplay sometimes.

He's been voiced by David Bateson since the first game in the franchise in 2000. But he is the silent assassin after all!

They say the original design for portal 2 was based on light... it was said to be extremely fun but valve never released the idea, hoping to use it in a game someday.
Original idea of portal came from two indie developers graduating from MIT. They made a protal game with very harsh textures and people at Valve picked them up and flushed out a story for it, changed the aesthetic.

I like your videos for a few reasons, but the main one being: You always seem to find the games hidden behind the mountains of marketing ads. You always find interesting games that never seem to end up on the front-page, and you always show those games for what they are, what people will see them as. You always seem to play the most interesting games even when they were hidden deep underneath the line of popular games and ads. Good luck with your next one, and I hope you have as much fun playing as I do watching.

Cool idea :) I'm not keen on being less upbeat in the rest of this comment, indie stuff is important and I'm probably going to come across like Raphael from that Stanley Parable advert.
The narrator's eccentric, sarcastic and full of himself, but his acting is still very deliberate, like computer game dialogue. Compare him to Elon Musk, Cave Johnson, characters from the original Half Life, the narrator in The Stanley Parable, X-Men, animated children's shows like Adventure Time, or some quite artificial seeming politicians. I could imagine him being almost as brash, but toned down by dropping some flatter, filler, sarcastic lines and including more uncertainty and periods of no dialogue. I like the journalism line :) How is he watching you *all* the time and why is the facility full of computer game levels rather than places. Couldn't the crystal washing room have had more of a heavy industry look to it and still be modular and full of walkways. Even just a high pressure tank connected to some pipes.
What's the point of the jumping over gaps and running past decontaminators part of the platforming. Consider (2D) Super Meat Boy, Getting Over It, XMoto, Circa Infinity, VVVVVV, The End is Neigh, or the rope/create only multiplayer levels in Worms World Party. Or (3D) Tony Hawks 3 & 4, or Zen in the original Half Life. Love them or physically take a step back in disgust, they work because while the mechanics are simple the consequences of those mechanics are not, and it's that landscape of consequences along with the satisfying momentum, curved movement, planning ahead at various scales and adjusting those plans on the fly that breaths depth and life into the whole experience. The platforms here though are just a task.
The story quickly got a bit obvious, did the female employee have a big stack of tape recorders, they don't seem well hidden. More unsettling with even only slightly softer shadows and slow sinking in mid brightness areas, with some suggestion that the light reflects/defuses off surfaces a bit onto the surroundings.
