- In this episode of the Toyota Pickup Build we get the new frame plates welded onto the front and add some shock hoops so we can run a little longer shock up front. We also swapped in a set of rear leaf spring up front to move the front axle forward a couple inches Next up we will be tackling the front axle build.

Love it
THIS WAS FUN TO WORK ON
love how easy toyota axles are to work on
They are not bad. Compared to a BJ dana 60 they suck lol they are easy non the less.
FF 14 bolts are even easier.
Fantastic work man! Where’d you find the frame stiffener?
Hey wondering would i need a high steer for the ruf or can i just weld the ruf mounts in place and the tie rods wont hit?
Love the build! About to put rears in the front of my 1983 pickup. What length of shackle straps did you use? Thanks!
I did this and used boomerang 🪃 shackles they clear the body mount skys offroad sold them to me
Hey Justin! Any chance I could have the part number for the frame plates. Cheers
Did you use the stock front hangar and just add longer shackles?
Yes.
Are those just stock rear leafs I’m about to do Chevy 63 in the rear of my 86 4Runner. Would the stock rears work up front for what I’m trying to do?
they should
Thats the exact combo everyone does man, stock rears up front and 63's in the rear...or f150's in the rear but the f150's are an offset leaf (center pin is not in the center)
@@bryanmayes9234 how is the offset dealt with? i wanna install rears in the front but want to keep the axle in the center, but the pin its not!!!! what can i do? can i just offset the ubolt plate with a new offset hole?
Where are you located? I will Hire you to do work on my 1985 4runner. had it shipped in from Southern Cali 7 years ago, no rust...
I am Lewiston idaho.
@@JustinTBraun I won’t be finished with my ‘83 Pickup till the end of the summer, but it would be fun to get those of us in the west together (I’m in Utah) and hit some trails!
@@JustinTBraun no way im down in boise! im about to start my RUF and 1uz swap on my 91! if your ever in the area you shuld come say hi
