  • In this episode of the Toyota Pickup Build we swap out the old Toyota leaf springs for a fresh set of Chevy 63 inch leaf springs! They have so much more flex than the old Toyota ones and will give it a better/softer ride. We will be using the old rears in the front of the Toyota to help move the axle forward.

    So reading the instructions it says to stack 6 inches of boards. And check with the full weight on the axle. When u french it in the frame would it make you need to adjust that for checking center pin in the axle

    For the front hangars do you just make the center of them even with the center of the frame? What if you are slight out from one side to the other , will the tires get uneven wear? Great video!!

      They definitely need to be even. I pull measurements from all over to make sure they are even. Including from the front axle. Thanks!

    What leaf’s do you use for the front? I’ve heard some newer Tacoma rear leafs will work for 80s pickup front. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    How do you get so much lift with junkyard Chevy 63s? I only got 2 inch lift on mine

    • @JustinTBraun
      @JustinTBraun  2 роки тому +1

      It didn't lift it anymore than what it was before. You can always add leafs or put longer shackles on it if you want to go higher

      Have you heard of anyone using a pro comp lift spring #13211? It’s designed for a 3/3.5 inch lift on a Chevy pickup

  • @joshmcnairtattoo

    Do you still like the 63’s? I’m about to do my rear and can’t decide between all pro 4” or chevy’s since I already have the chevy’s
